    This is amazing! I’ve been in the Building Automation (HVAC) side for 15 years and the similarities are crazy! From the setup to the trends it’s virtually the same! Definitely would love to see more! Wish we won the bid when you were building in Charlton. I work for Automated Logic and we did the Spencer brewery. Love this!

    Brewing at that scale and on a system like that, a brewer has to almost be an engineer. It’s impressive how dialed in you guys are. One thousand turns a year will do that!

    “Similar” to my eyes. today’s NEIPA I saw it was not circulating wel, stirred the sticky mash l and extended the mash time. Perfectly hit my numbers, OG & fermenter volume! 😅 Always a pleasure when this happens homebrewing 😊 you’re in a different world with different problems

    Awesome video, please keep them coming. You mention "we aren't worried about efficiency we're worried about wort quality". Is the learning when you're brewing big beers (IIPA) to focus more on the process rather than efficiency?

    • @treehousebrewco
      @treehousebrewco  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Making good beer is the priority. Efficiency is the last thing we worry about. Not saying we are wasteful, but there are quality issues to consider. For example, a centrifuge will objectively damage your beer, so it’s something we have never done in spite of the massive savings it would create.

    Now this Video shows many years of research trial error. Semi Automation is very interesting. Do you change Mash temps per Beer Style or specific beer. Reason I ask is changing temps on some of my IPAs can make the hops Pop more or Malts adding front end with the sweetness added or removed . Lower mash temp is sweeter malt ? Higher Mash Temp is sugar remover, dryer finish. ? Love your set up ....Makes a consistent product doable.

      There is a screenshot with the grist hydration/mill step… it’s just a total amount and the rate it’s being added to the liquor… not what it actually is and in what ratios. Not sure why it’s blurred.
