@@Dvrth I also have been listening to this song in repeat (this acoustic version, not the studio version), i love it so much, it's so emotional, and I get teary every time.
@@yimlife7195 it's a tear, it's rolling down his cheek like tears do. If it was sweat you wouldn't hear it in his voice. TK has 100% control yet at that point he's breathy and his voice breaks, he missed that one note because of emotions, not sweat.
Fun fact, the art of his new album was done by Sui Ishida, the mangaka of Tokyo Ghoul, and it's amazing.
The whole album is amazing tbh.
He's the same person who sang his most popular song Unravel. But, I must say, this is his best song. The feels man, the feels. He even cried while singing.

I love the song and your reaction, I feel like "copy light" is a very important song for Tk, because he was very emotional about it, you can actually hear a lot of pain and sadness, and also I think he got carried away by his feelings, and that's why he had a voice crack near the end when he says "itai kedo" It wasn't Tk's best performance but it sure will be memorable because it shows more of Toru Kitajima and not Tk. But hey you can listen to the studio version if you want a much more clean and smooth sound , I would love if you can react to Re:Automation by ling tosite sigure (Tk's band)
I think it's an intentional voice crack, cause in the studio version the voice crack is still there.
@@nestyie3835 first of all , there is no voice crack in the studio version...., second , this song was very new when I commented and had an opinion about it , but my opinion changed because I forgot that TK tends to push his voice until it cracks , you can see that in multiple live performances, and now my favourite version of "copy light" is the first take version because its more emotional for me and the guitar solo sounds better in my opinion.
Since you used "voice crack" I just used that word too as I wasn't sure what other musical term should be used. Also I like this one better as well
It’s also worth mentioning “itai kedo/ 痛いけど” is translated to “it hurts, but,” or maybe more like “even so.”

Hey, I don't know if you'll ever read this. This is a 4 year old video after all. But thanks for this reaction. It's a bit parasocial but seeing someone getting really deep into the emotional side of TK's copy light made me feel much less lonely. I've been a fan of TK and Ling tosite sigure for more than a decade now and it's so difficult to find anyone to talk about them to, especially in this sort of context. Sure there's an existing Sigure community but even there I feel out of place because they focus more on the technicalities that I don't understand as a non-musician and have a sense of humor that I don't get. Glad you appreciate him like this. Bless you, man.
@@fluffmamon i completely understand completely because that’s basically what this channel is. I couldn’t tell you all the technical aspects of music but I love music enough to explain the sense of fantasia I get listening to a song.
