1) Orconero NOT playing Orks - HERESY! 2) The expected Commando introduction. 3) Normally you'd expect to see the Teleportation of a unit away from the fray. Not with Orks. Nothing says "TAKTIKS" like slinging a Warboss INTO the enemy front lines. (Let's be honest, that takes getting "Stuck in" to a new level). 4) Not ONE "Tis a lot of Orks" from Indrid. 5) Manticores didn't seem to do much of anything. 6) Good fight. 7) Thank you The Tenso for sending this one in.
Each time i see someone using 2 mantis they do jack shit, even more here when everyone knew the orks had a big infantry army to rush you and the guy gets 2 mantis? WTF nothing to protect the stormlord and it did have very shoots in this game the problem was the rest.
hahahah You're right on point 1 🤣. I do prefer playing orks but all the slots were already taken.
Love seeing that ability to fling orks. This was exceptional. Avoiding that manticore was awareness

I think IG vs Orks are my favourite, because they usually involve a lot of dakka on all sides
Newer IG players dont do what Willy did. Theres absolutely no reason to get plasma guns vs orks till you see Nobz or Flash Gitz. Every other infantry unit is regular infantry armour. The plasma doesnt do any bonus damage to that type and the resources are better spent on commissars and other units like assault kit stormtroopers
Aren't Nob leaders on Shootas and Sluggas heavy infantry? Even then, not worth the power price.
@gunterthekaiser6190 As a whole the unit is still regular infantry armour. The Nobz just get the benefit of more HP and die last model (good and a bad thing)

Willy's fast tech, follow by meme build pretty much screw everyone up. Tenso and Orconero were holding theirs so well for a long time.
i feel like tier2 fast tech was healthier for the game than rushing tier3 and super units.

Frustrating seeing the number of times IG players get any of the super heavy tanks and just chuck them in completely unsupported against the enemy, If Willy had supported his, he likely would have got some squad wipes and kept it alive.
Nice to see the orks still win after Ghaz' battlewagon bugged straight out of the gate and almost lost them the game.

On a side note I do think Orks vs IG has to be one of the best match ups for terrain scaring? Like the map takes as much damage as the players do when they face off in a 3v3 like this! haha.

Orks are always fun to see, but damn it must have been frustrating for IG to watch Ork units escape on 1 hp about 7000 times throughout the match

Is there a good amount of people that still play have been thinking of getting back into DoW2
Yes, there are plenty of people to play with. But make sure you use below methods to avoid toxicity, skill mismatches and taking too long to get a game going.
Advice for new players
1/ Play on Friday, weekends and during European night time.
2/ Make sure to get the newest patch (fo) from (rum's) releases section. The (l) is (ink) in the video description.
3/ Find players to play with at (Dis) the (cord) channel. The (l) is (ink) at the video description.
4/ After (Dis) joining (cord), give yourself an initiate tag or completely new tag depending on your preference by going to roles channel.
5/ And most importantly, add every non-toxic player you met during an online match as (S) a (team) friend.
If a new person rely solely on finding a room in public room list, there is a high chance that one will suffer from taking long to find a room and skill mismatches. An optimal way to find rooms for Elite while avoiding two forementioned problems would be like below.
1/ Host a new player room and go (Dis) to (cord) looking-for-games channel to gather new players for it.
2/ Play some games
3/ Send (Ste) friend (am) invite to any and all player who were in your room and were not toxic/blaming.
- Doesn't matter if they receive it or not. Keep sending. There is a nice ignore invite button to stop all invites from a player and also invite notification only happens once. These two means invite spam is not a nuisance to anyone.
4/ Repeat Step 1 to Step 3 until you gather about 15 to 20 players in your friend list.
5/ Now, you have power to host a room and fill it up in a minute or two by using both (Ste) invite (am) and informing (Dis) on (cord) any time of the day you want and with players of skills similar to you.
You are only required to buy DoW2 Retribution for multiplayer. Other games/DLCs are not needed. In addition, Elite Mod is required but it is a free mod.
All replays casted in this channel are from DoW2 Retribution + Elite Mod. Retribution is the second and the last expansion of DOW2. Retribution is a standalone expansion that does not require other games for it to work. Players created Elite Mod as patch support for Retribution stopped in 2012. For this reason, Elite Mod is also needed for playing multiplayer as unmodded Retribution is largely abandoned aside from single play purposes. Same can be said about Original DOW2 and Chaos Rising the first expansion. They are bought to enjoy single player content only.
Elite Mod’s main function is the balance patch support for high level 1v1 scene. However, in addition, it adds some new content too.
Bug fixes
New faction - Ordo Malleus(Grey Knights)
New units, wargears, skills and globals for each faction
New unit portraits
New army skins
New maps
A ladder system with ratings
And most importantly, community support
such as replays casted on TH-cam, Regular tournaments and other events with streamers on Twitch, a regulated Discord server and a forum website

Imagine if Willy got a STORMLORD, Y'KNOW the thing that's REALLY good at killing infantry? Dude got carried so hard and still fumbled so hard lol
no, the Stormblade was the right choice. Stormlord is good against hard infantry with fewer models, like Marines. If you're up against Orks and Nids you want the Stormblade.

@@dyamonde9555 So when you have a nob squad chasing you down, you'd rather have a Stormblade having to park itself to shoot everytime? Really? Yeah, no.
Outside of the Tankbusters and Warboss, nothing else threathens a superheavy except a charging nob squad. Did you see any other Ork vehicles except that 1 BattleWagon? In this specific 3v3 a STORMLORD wouldn't have fed the WB&Nobs and thrown the game
@@NeoKarByne Regardless of the heavy tank that should have been picked, he lacked a units that could suppress or stun units seeing that his only infantry were standard guards. The real throw was building two manticores instead of building ogryns, catachans, or the heavy bolter.
@@NeoKarByne the problem wasnt the stormlord, the problem was that he didnt have anything to back the stormlord up. The Stormlords job is to murder the huge blobs of ork infantry, while a pack of Ogryns keeps the Nobs off of the tank. He should have gotten more infantry support instead of the two Manticores
It's nice to see Executioners actually do some work. If Orconero wasn't lagging, or playing generally how he normally plays, this would have gone better.
