There would be no way I could get $600 for this set of nightstands in the Phoenix, AZ area. There are lots of furniture flippers here, and I see lots of refinished nightstands in the $300-$400 range.
I love the style of this video! Felt like I was in the garage with you. And loved the shoutout you gave Abby. Feels like old school TH-cam shouting out other creators that inspire you. ❤
That is insane you can get that much. The fanciest of nightstands where I live are no more than $350. Usually less. You are blessed!!! These are super pretty!
Beautiful transformation. Tricorn Black is my favorite black. It looks like black velvet. I painted my guest room Tricorn Black with gold curtains. It is a beautiful room.
I have a set just like this, including a chest of drawers and dresser. I purchased it new in 2006. I wanted to buy a new set. But furniture cost so much and is made so poorly these days. Now that I have seen this video, I have decided to paint my whole set to update abd save a couple of thousands. I'll leave the lining in my secret drawers though, as they are in perfect shape❤
Love watching your channel, I'm sure you'll get the asking price for the nightstands they are lovely. Just subscribed to your Instagram. Watching from UK 🇬🇧 ❤
Love your videos!! You are so talented! This video inspired me to try my hand at flipping furniture! Two days after this video I found the exact same nights at my local Salvation Army thrift store!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey!!!!!❤️
They look stunning. Nightstands with storage are priceless. A great way to hideaway smaller items helps keep the room look organized. Hope you get full asking or a minor negotiation if needed. Great color combo - I’ve used retique it before- excellent product. Thank you for another carefully crafted flip. 🪻
The nightstands are gorgeous! I think $750.00 to $800.00 cause they are soooo pretty 😊! The wood grain and the color look beautiful together! Plus the secret drawer just adds a surprise to them. Anyways you did a awesome job transforming these! 😊❤
They look great Kara! Wow…I wish I could get the kind of prices that you get. In my area the most I could get would be about $200 for a set of nightstands. And they are very popular here as well more so than dressers right now. Hope you get your asking price…they look so good! 🥰🥰🥰
Those turned out really nice! I’m coming around on the Retique It process…I wasn’t totally on board but I think I will give it a try! Love the Tricorn Black. It’s just a perfect luxurious tone. I hope you get your asking price…I think you will! Positive vibes out for you! 🦋
Beautiful!!! How long after you paint the furniture do you wait to post for sale? I know it takes a while for paint to cure so just wanted your advice on what the best time would be.
These look really sharp in black with the wood top. I love how they look. ANd they are the perfect handles. I have a tall dresser and a single night stand that’s this brand. Has the “secret” drawer too. How long did this take? Seems like it was day one… clean and prime. Day two the top. Was there a day three of top coat for the top? Seems like you didn’t have a whole lot of time in them. Amazing job.
Wow! I know markets vary from area to area, but where I live, a night stand would have to be plated with gold to bring that kind of price. I bought a used metal bed frame for $40, and two four-drawer dressers for $12 each. I got a pair of twin headboards for$10. NOTHING I could do to them would make them sell for much more than that.
Kara, last night I watched your interview on Cypress. I hoped the interview would be 100% about you. Are you OK with sharing your top 5-10 favorite interviews with us? I found a couple using Google search. Ty
Excellent finish. I always "WOW" at the selling prices you guys achieve overseas. Here in Australia not a hope, maybe $300 - $400 Aussie dollars the pair if you are lucky! Its odd as being isolated we pay top dollar for everything, even the price of product here would totally shock you and nowhere near the verity. If on Amazon it cost a fortune to ship product! The culture of junk furniture and reused isn't seen as bespoke here. Australia seems to mostly like shiny and new! But I do still sell my pieces. Not meaning to rant, I just thought I would tell you as your story is amazing to me.
This is nicely done, very good finish but if I had to paint using these "saleable" colours or lack of colour I'd be too bored, my time is precious so I paint all different styles but particularly aged or theme styled. Doesn't take away from your good work and how much you care about your finish because I do believe in that.
I love watching your makeovers. You are very creative. I have a general question. Why do you and others describe in every video what kind of sprayer you are using, and the kind of paint and primer and fillers? Is that a youtube rule or is it just to give the viewers the information of what you are using?
Info. About 80% of watchers are not subscribers so typically first time viewers so I kinda have to look at that part as a teaching moment. Thanks for watching!
No where near that ROI in central VA with similar supply costs...but our COL is lower than large urban areas as well. Fortunately its a hobby for me so as long as I earn a profit Im not forced to be unduly concerned. It would be very difficult to have this as your regular job and not just supplemental income in many areas of the country ( I lived in 4 geographically diverse reagions of the US).
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture I always learn something when I watch you and totally appreciate that your share your rationale for design and business strategy - gifted educator. I'm glad you're in a region that allows you to make a comfortable living doing something you love!
It’s selfish? In the area I live in, I can never sell sets together and no, I’ve had all of these throughout the course of four years. I’ve never had them come as a set.
Do you think I will get my asking price? What would these sell for in your area?
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture absolutely
Beautiful. I hope you get tons of $$$$

Lucky if we can sell a set for $200 in St Louis.
Bloody amazing you are inspiring me to start flipping furniture love your Chanel

Thank you :) we’re all in this together!
Can't ever go wrong flipping a matching set of nightstands! Love the dark bases with the lighter wood tops.
You can’t go wrong with a Canadian as your bestie either! ;) watching yours next!
They look absolutely gorgeous. Great job I think you could have gotten more though.
That is insane you can get that much. The fanciest of nightstands where I live are no more than $350. Usually less. You are blessed!!! These are super pretty!
The velvet in the top drawer makes it suitable for eye glasses and watches etc - things you dont want scratching.
I know but it was so stained and just dated so it had to go! Thanks for watching!
in the Portland Oregon area the top dollar for those would be $250 for both. Average price for night stands that i sell is $150
Wow!! It’s crazy the difference! Thanks for watching
Same where I am
I love the faux finish. I have been practicing the Pottery Barn finish on my candleholders.
That’s awesome Shelly!!
Beautiful transformation. Tricorn Black is my favorite black. It looks like black velvet. I painted my guest room Tricorn Black with gold curtains. It is a beautiful room.
I absolutely love this faux wood look. I wish I could get the Retique It wood look kit in Australia.

Another great paint project. Love your vision and technique.
That swivel tripod is perfect.
Very nicely done. The faux woodgrain looks great also.

Wow $600-$700 for the pair would be amazing. I’m in the Austin market and sell nightstand lairs like this for $300. Every market is different!
Wow!! I would have guessed so much higher with the amount of people moving in!

What size compressor are you using with your paint gun? Thx keep up the great work!
20 gal

Is that the satin or high gloss finish in the SW?
Satin
What is the name of your paint swivel table? Thx
We made it ourselves:)
Ive heard others say to look on their "community page". Where is the community page found at?
it's on my main youtube page under the tab community
I love this but this is the reason the restores in my area Jack's the prices up so much that it's not even affordable
Love your videos but not the music. Keep up the great work.
Good job on refinishing but the original hardware was nicer. It’s actually very popular right now. I think the new ones dated these nightstands more.

Thank you! I really appreciate your sweet comment
After seeing the final look, I think that you would have a problem selling them for $700 for both.
Thank you! I don’t think I will be far off
Did you get your asking price??
I sure did!
My Restore is highly priced
mine too. I just have to go on the discount days
I can never get deals mine is so high price. They said they don't do deals.I don't get why they are so high
Yea I look for the deal days and ask when they will have specials like that day I visited. It’s the only way it’s affordable
So expensive😮
Where are you looking to get these 2024 styles of furniture?
Top selling design magazines
Definitely $700
While they look 100% better I'm not a fan of the outcome. Top, drawer liners etc
Am I mistaken, or are those the nightstands that matched the dresser? Never break up a set. Never, ever break up a set. It' selfish.
It’s selfish? In the area I live in, I can never sell sets together and no, I’ve had all of these throughout the course of four years. I’ve never had them come as a set.
Still dated. Big and bulky. All that work, is not worth it.
Selling price would say otherwise..
Those were gross and dirty inside!
Yes they so were!!
❤
