- Poptone recently guested on 'Records In My Life'. The band including Kevin Haskins, Daniel Ash, and Diva, guested on the show, before their appearance at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver, BC.

Nice to see Daniel and Kevin still moving forward. Knew Daniel at art college in '76 and knew of Kevin as a face at various hangouts around Northampton, UK. David (J) I also knew from art college, alongside Daniel's friend Glenn Campling (Tones on Tail), who'd park his motorbike alongside Daniels outside the college. Peter (Murphy) appeared later, around '78. All of Bauhaus, other than David J, regularly frequented Das Bunker, a legendary proto-Goth club in Northampton. Amazing how all four band members are STILL performing, writing, etc. forty years on . . .

What an amazing find to discover.half of my biggest crush band Pete is missing but overjoyed to see them alive and well. Bauhaus,Tones on Tail and Love and Rockets,my belove late brother introduced ToT and LaR after I had every Bauhaus album....most.most.amazing talent,perfection,lyrics..

the characters of Kevin and Daniel couldn't be more different
They truly do seem to approach things from different directions, but have made a lot of good records together over the decades.
Well, drummers and front men usually are pretty different from each other. Unless they happen to be both like Don Henley and Phil Collins ;)

Danny you're a 100% CORRECT when you describe the music that stays with you "forever" at around age "13"...That was the case for me back in '82 & '83 when I discovered my local "college radio station" and I was fucking "exposed" to Bauhaus for the very first time plus many other bands that I'm so fucking THRILLED to have a 30+ year HISTORY with!!!... Thank you both Danny and Kevin for ageing so "gracefully" and looking so fucking VIBRANT and not ressembling ordinary 60 year old "over the hill truck drivers" like your former Bauhaus "front man"...

I got to know Daniel pretty well in the early 2000's - even partied at his house a few times.
I think I like this interview definitely much better than another poptone one I saw some weeks, ago. But, Daniel? Who knows really? I’m quite damn sure there are people who work in banks and can’t imagine doing anything else as they’re rocking out to Poptone with their favorite headset on.

I checked out Diva's new music project Yialmelic Frequencies and its very good. I don't like all that much ambient music, most of it is dull and poorly composed, but she's put together some dynamic ambient compositions with this release and it dovetails with her deep spiritual beliefs. Worth checking out!

In the 21st century, as globalist fascism comes crashing down on us, I think the cutting edge of culture has shifted from purely art and music, to new ways of thinking and living driven by a post-religion spiritual understanding. Nice to see talented artists like Diva putting out work that express this and ride the line between cutting edge music and spirituality.

The two dudes are quite articulated. Then there's the third one, "Diva" (???), and it is the usual sequence of "like" and question marks.

Lol!!!.. ) into 🎆 REUNITING 🎆this other "Bau-half" for a long due performance after a "13 year" HIATUS is just beyond fucking MIND BLOWING!!!... So this "Full 🌕 🌕 Friday September the 13th" is like the LUCKIEST EVER 30 days after Peter's recent incident ... It seems as if #13 is having all these Kabbalistic "aspects" linked to Peter!!!...***Happy Friday September 13th 2019!!!... Bauhaus all the way from the year ⏳1982⏳ til the year 957,000!!!...***

i saw poptone at The Regency, in san francisco a few yrs back and it was awful..... daniel as did not even bring a guitar amp.... used some shitty digital device.. it sounded tinny n like an mp3 at 140m db........... bass player was boring and i do not remember the drums..... unless u r a fanboy i would not spend any more rock n roll dollars on peetone
