Congratulations. You all showed tremendous skills in befitting the boat. Keep the family together and show the greatness of the American society. It's a joy following you at my tender age of 80. Still trout fishing and deer hunting again this year.
Now here’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! So glad we’ve followed you guys all this time! You may as well be family 😂❤May the Lord continue to bless you all abundantly!
I totallyenjoy hearing everyhing n watching youre videoes its my happy spot forthe day watching ya all on the water wish i coudbe there really i was raised on a fishing boat myself. I soo miss it.
Congratulations EIS Family. Keep the engine alive for our ears. Your foices carry over. Very sleek and business like from shore and aboard. She is a beauty.
I can’t wait to see you guys. Pull some big barn doors on the Emerald. I’ll I want to help you guys get more gear more lying more hooks means more fish. Great job guys.
When I was a lot younger i used to occasionally go out with a family friend on his prawn trawler. I was just starting to get educated about the speeds of various hulls and he explained that potential hull speed was a limiting factor in how fast a displacement hull would go. I asked what he meant and he said that most displacement hulls had a potential max hull speed that relied on prop size and shape and hull drag and the addition of extra power from the motor was not always going to give extra speed just burn more fuel. It made sense and obviously if you knew the potential of the hull you could operate at maximum fuel efficiency. I like your boat. Ron.
How big it seems! Congratulations! All your hard work and vision will soon be paying off. Does the quotas for various harvesting have anything to do with the size of your vessel? Can your quotas be raised? Are quotas decided by Alaska or by the US Government? One can only imagine the excitement, and also the apprehension you must be feeling. This shakedown cruise is a milestone leading to the future. Many followers envy the life you have built. Your success will definitely be worthy and a testament to the worth of good karma.
I lived in Cordova for two years in the 70s. I love your videos with no music. I like to hear the water, the birds, the equipment and your banter. You know you can't please 50,000 people with a music background just let it be natural. Please
That's really got to be good feeling; so rewarding. You guys need update your opening film to reflect all of the changes that you guys have made. God bless!
Congrats on a successful "shake-down" cruise. I'm happy that you guys are happy with all the hard work you put into her. She is a beauty!!! Like I said before in a previous comment, "Can't wait to see her in action bringing up big barn door Halibut and Tanner traps stuffed to the brim with crab!!
You guys have done a nice job with the refit. Just remember to add a few bits to make it nicer for you in the evenings and those long hours steaming home. Looking forward to seeing some good fish come over the rails.
Super to see you guy's out with no problems!!! You have worked so much on refitting, and now frustration on all your efforts🎉🎉🎉!!! Looking forward to seeing you guy's Fishing on Her!!!❤
I sleep good with a671 running i spent a lot of time on a shrimp boat in the Gulf of Mexico when I was younger helping my dad on the boat and it was hard work but it pays good 👍
Hello Dad, Mom, Matt, Tristan - I was waiting for this video, was worried, even didn't sleep well these past few nights, so happy for you, she looks, sounds, and runs good. Awww the sound of that engine would never bother me. Love it! Thanks for posting. Made my day. Dan and Kim, San Diego, CA
You going to put some Dynomat for sound deading and Sticks right to whatever you put it on? Yall did an amazing job! Mrs Anita thank you for all the videos you've been putting out. I know it's a lot of work..Tennessee here.
Sounds like the Persephone from The Beachcombers, sound barrier insulation engine ceiling and house floor may save some sanity from the racket of those screamers
Time to drop some hooks guys it doesn't look like it smells like fish yet you need to do something about that 😂😂😂😂😂 God Bless Y'all and stay safe and good fishing
@@EISAlaska that’s great guys hey if you guys ever find that you’re having problems with steering what we did in our little fishing boat that was 36 with I think a 12 foot beam is we welded a piece of angle iron on the back of the Rutter, it worked great and low speed maneuvering, and high-speed maneuvering.
8 Kts in a heavy displacement hull is good going - any faster and you'd need a halibut on every hook you set to pay for the extra fuel burned! If you decide to add music from TH-cam's public music box, please keep it low key so that it doesn't obtrude and take over from the fishing boat action.
With the bigger boat - will you go out further, start out longer? Will it significantly change the type or fish you catch or the way you fish for them? Looking forward to videos from the new boat!
What year is this boat and are you going to put out your fish or outriggers or whatever you Call them. Sounds good. Looks great. I’m sure you’re both proud. You’ve done a lot of work.

Congratulations. You all showed tremendous skills in befitting the boat. Keep the family together and show the greatness of the American society. It's a joy following you at my tender age of 80. Still trout fishing and deer hunting again this year.

That was a long task to get where you are, and exciting to see Emerald Isle sail at 8 knots.
Well done guys!
Wow, the Emerald Isle is looking beautiful! I was afraid the wave wall would spoil the lines, but it definitely doesn't. She's looking fine.
Screaming Jimmy, The most efficient way to turn diesel into noise!
HAPPY HAPPY DAY❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ WOOHOO!!!
I can’t wait to see you guys. Pull some big barn doors on the Emerald. I’ll I want to help you guys get more gear more lying more hooks means more fish. Great job guys.
You guys are doing a great job, no problem with the noise.
8 knots is just a little over 9 mph.
Thanks, elmer!

what a great sucess story of your rebuild. thanks for sharing your remaiden voyage. everything looks great.
Had a good time, just couldn't feel the wind in my face, but it was still a good ride 😊🎉❤❤😂

The natural sounds are quite comforting, agreed. Will keep the (lack of) music in mind, thanks for the feedback Joann.
Excellent work there Guys! I'm excited for you all with that success. All the best for the first trip out!
Love that Detroit!!! Rock solid engine!!
Yep, shes loud but shes got some power! Runs really clean too.

New rig looks great. Good job.❤😊
Just want to see the first fish come on board. You should be very happy with her. Congrats
Nice ride in excellent conditions. The real test is a big load in difficult weather, however considering the last run, a huge success for you guys. 💪
She is looking great!
Love the sound of a diesel engine!😊
Enjoy the fruits of you extreme labor congratulation
I'm so happy for this family. Hard work Always pays off. I love all of you❤😂✌️
Just when I thought I couldn’t respect you guys more, here we go. Lovely boaty.
I enjoy your show, it reminds me of fishing out of Dutch harbor during the second half of the eighties, except we ran diaper gear. Have a great day.

Well done. Awesome to see
Looking forward to seeing you fish with the EI!
It’s great to see your families hard work has paid off. Looks great.
Like the stars and strips in the wheelhouse. 🇺🇸
A motor is a motor and it keeps noise. Don`t worry, that`s ok.
Family fishing trips:)
Good job guys
So good to see you guys happy with the fix. It is going to be fun to see future fishing and modifications you guys make. Great Job !
Very nice
Seems to be running a lot smoother

I watched the video when you picked up the old girl in Juneau I believe. I had my fingers crossed the whole way back !
beautifull looking hull
Good lookin vessel.
Nice to see all your hard work on that boat working out . Great video.
Time to fish!!
Love the build vids, definitely ready to see the payoff.
Congrats on a smooth running boat.
The boat looks beautiful but it needs some kind of mural on the port side of the enclosure!🐟
Fair Winds and following seas
So happy for your guys and can't wait to see some fish on board!
Let her rumble!
It looks like you're ready to do some serious fishing.
Looking sweet, congratulations guys, job well done. Enjoy.
you guys have done a really great job on this boat Kudos. Enjoy your vids Thanks.........

You guys did an impressive job aligning that running gear. Slicker than eel shit!
i personaly think the old girl is fine she is a work boat after all
I rebuilt a few 6-71 Detroits back in late 80’s. They are pain to set the rack. But the engine’s last a long time.
You going to put some Dynomat for sound deading and Sticks right to whatever you put it on? Yall did an amazing job! Mrs Anita thank you for all the videos you've been putting out. I know it's a lot of work..Tennessee here.
Aww thank you for your kind words, we love to share our way of life with everyone😃you take good care and stay safe.
Nice work …….!!!! Purrs like a kitten…….!!!!!!
Sounds like the Persephone from The Beachcombers, sound barrier insulation engine ceiling and house floor may save some sanity from the racket of those screamers
Yaaaay !
Hope you have more thrust and more control/manueverability with the de barnacling! Looks like way less cavitation in the water as well
Time to drop some hooks guys it doesn't look like it smells like fish yet you need to do something about that 😂😂😂😂😂 God Bless Y'all and stay safe and good fishing
For sure, Gene! She isn’t a fishing boat til there’s fish on the deck! 🎣
So exciting to see this!! P.S. Does it qualify as a "Joy" ride without any fish?
You might want to put a bit of soundproofing on that engine room
We definitely will going forward. The cabin is lacking insulation too, so those two things will likely come later this fall.
You guys gonna do another shakedown cruise with it all tanked down
We did, although we didn't film it. Just a short ride anyway. She handles great, 7.7 knots at 1450 rpm, so not too much change in speed!
