The fake rub trick! Love it. I used that one a few years back and he moved his ladder stand right where I wanted it! The Beast sticks look awesome but I really can't wait for the stand!
I just wanted to let you know how much I’ve learned about bedding areas from you. I’ve hunted my entire life but just found your stuff recently and have been paying attention to your techniques about points etc and it’s spot on. Thanks and I hope to get some of those nice sticks someday!
Davey Newman me and a buddy did that to a guy on our lease a few years ago. Came back the next week and he had hung his stand right over it. He never saw anything bigger than a spike. Lol
Keeping it real. That’s the way MOST of my hunts are. Not even a sighting- being in a low density area sucks, but even a close call is exciting under conditions here.
Can't wait to get both the sticks and stand. Appreciate the help you give to us public land hunters most people would keep everything a secret. Good luck with your venture.
I have played with them. I don't care much for them. They are another tool you can use and many people claim to feel more comfortable in them. But where I hunt big bucks are hard to kill. They dont get old without learning some valuable lessons. Sticking out from the tree even the slightest gets me busted. Having to manuver or move my bow around a tree in front of me would be a very hard task when a big buck pops out at close range. I move to much in a saddle and get seen fidgeting. Also, I cant get a saddle in alot of the trees I hunt in. like cedar trees where a hole is made to sit in, or buck thorn where the tree is to thick to shoot around. I want to hunt big bucks, not for a tree that will work. Thios might not be an issue for guys in some terrains, but it is for me hunting the edge. Often Im in a tiny tree that barely supports me, often thats all I have to work with. hanging off the side will get me busted every time. I set up close to bedded bucks. I climb the back side of the tree being careful to watch ahead and not get to high that Im getting seen from the bed, I reach around and set the stand facing the incoming deer and slide slowly around the tree into the stand. When the deer is coming I slide to my feet and turn sideways, and press my self against the tree, so I blend in with the tree. Its open in front of me, I dont have to worry about which side the deer goes on. 1st ethical shot I have I shoot before the bucks extraordinary senses detect me. With that said, Josh occasionally uses a saddle, maybe he can give you some pro's...
@@thehuntingbeast thank you. That was fast! I really appreciate it. I mostly hunt with a rifle so maybe its not so hard for me to shoot around the tree. Maybe it helps me as a rest. They seem lighter to carry. I will give it a try and let you know how I do. Keep producing your content. Its awesome.
As always, great stuff. The 1 down-vote is from that guy stealing game cameras. I will continue to check the store daily for these sticks. I like that the are short, making it easier to hike through the thick stuff vs my longer XOP sticks.
So i don’t have the sticks, i made my own but i bought and use your vbracket stand offs. I’ve used different ones from outdoor edge and Hawk also: Your brackets dig in the best, stack the best, and move the least. Great product 100% perfect. Wish i could afford my own full set!!!
I just ordered Beast sticks yesterday ! I researched a lot of competitors sticks and for many reasons the Beast sticks are the ones for me. For one thing, it's gonna be like Dan is with me on every hunt. I'm gonna make sure the wind is as good as possible and sneak in quieter than i ever have before, just because of that extra mental boost that I'll get with the Beast sticks strapped to my stand. New spot scouted and same day hunt every single time... this year won't be much time left, but next season I should be a hunting machine with Dan's 7 lb stand included !
Ordered mine, waiting on them to come in. Gonna hold off on getting a stand in case Dan’s becomes available before next season. If not, it will be the Millennium M7 microlite for me. My M1 climber is super comfortable but it weighs 33 pounds. Looking forward to trying a much lighter setup next year. I have a few weeks left to keep from going deerless in SC this season. 2nd season hunter and learning a lot and having a blast. Ordered mine a couple days ago and see they’re sold out again already. These sticks must be insanely popular.
I like the steps especially the weight and price point. If I ever need to get more I'll definitely consider these. I have Muddy steps and really like them. I prefer the rope vs the strap like these and Lone Wolf have. Add a rope like the Muddy have and I would consider these the ultimate sticks. I would pay extra for the rope if it was an option. Great work Dan. Enjoy your videos and knowledge.
You can mod these sticks to accommodate a rope style attachment system. If you're confident in your abilities and want to check it out DIY sportsman has a lonewolf rope mod video that might inspire you to do so. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/bF8Yz9wMno4/w-d-xo.html
Do you use a lineman’s rope when climbing? Or because of the design of the offset of the steps it eliminates the need for one? Because if it did that would be amazing?
Dan, is that a camera in the strap around your forehead or a flashlight? I've seen you wearing it in several videos now and don't recall you mentioning it.
They are currently sold out, sign up for the email list on the site and we will email you when they restock. They have been hard to keep in inventory, but we are working on it.
I hunt and hang the same way with my LW alpha and 4 to 5 sticks... One thing that I know I am goona love is the size of the step.. I wear size 15-16 boots and my lone wolf sticks do not offer the space these do.. I cannot wait to get my hands on some... Anyone looking for a dozen lw sticks? Lol
I know from the Videos you mostly hunt out of hang on treestands, What are the positives and Negatives of using a tree saddle in your opinion? Thanks....
Aways out of stock EVERY TIME i try to order i cant i check the website every two weeks so at least im giving you traffic on your website lol when will they be available???
Has anyone used the sticks yet? Im getting ready to buy a set of 3 but it's expensive. I am a mobil hunter with no money and i scout deep timber so shedding weight is imporant. I also have been hunting iff the ground for 15 years or more id like to try a saddle now
Dan - You say you never sit the same tree twice... Will you sit the same "area" twice? By this I mean, maybe a different tree, but 10,20,30 yards away from the original tree? Certain areas are good, and I just can't imagine never hunting a specific area more than once. Thanks!
Really great areas I would recommend no more than 3 hunts a year. What you need to remember is that no matter what you do to remove scent, you can't, and your scent can remain there for weeks. If you want to step up to mature bucks, especially pressured ones, you need to catch them off guard. The over all majority of actual mature bucks I have taken have been from spots I never ever hunted before. Despite hunting most good spots once or twice a year... They are not as stupid as people make them out to be. For a buck to make it to 5 or older he has to be an expert at getting around people. If you were being hunted, would you keep walking into an area where someone was setting up to kill you? Big bucks pattern you. You need to catch them by surprise. When guys learn this its when they step up from nice bucks ((2 or 3 year olds) to mature bucks and more bucks.

We should have plenty of stock in about 2 weeks. We are real picky about what we release to the public. Sorry for the wait... Its also real hard to keep up with the demand. But those issues are just about resolved.
Probably spring. I am just finishing the latest proto-type now. Should be testing in a few days. The newest version really has me excited. I am hoping to have it rock solid and weigh less than 7 pounds. This is going to be a small, slim, light version to start with that you can pack on your back for long distances thru thick cover.
The Hunting Beast living in the mountains of southeast Tennessee, the lighter the better. I’ll definitely buy one when they’re out and when I can afford your whole system!! Keep up the videos man. Love the decoy rubs, started my day off with a laugh. Good shit Dan!
Just found the video, thanks for the effort . Like the sticks. What is the stand?
This is better than any hunting show I’ve watched
Waiting for that stand!
