The entire Jagged Little Pill album is one where each track is as good as the one before, just play it on a loop.
THIS.
And the "secret" one not listed 👏👏👏
Truth!
1000%
I kept that album playing in my car for a year.❤
Her Grammy performance of “Uninvited” is 🔥🔥🔥
Yaaaasss!
Absolutely. Uninvited is one of the most beautiful, haunting songs ever.
So unforgettable. It was amazing!
It truly is Amazing. She's fantastic live .
This!!!!
Her song “uninvited” would give you chills.
Absolutely agree!
My favorite Alanis song by far ❤
My love, you gotta do Head Over Feet!! We know you, you big softy! You'll love ❤️ it!!
I love Head Over Feet so much ♥
Alanis is one of the few child stars who actualized her creativity and redefined herself in a positive way.
It was strange when she came out with this album cause I remembered her from "You Can't Do That On Television" when Nickelodian first started!
Also, Taylor Momsen.
@@nathanclarke2777 She was only in 5 episodes, so that's doubtful.
@@clh35 I know but I was her age and fell for her the first time she appeared!😆😆
@@nathanclarke2777 I'm about the same age, too, and I watched that show, but must have missed her. I did, however, fall in love with her when this album came out. 😁
Alanis " THANK YOU". (original video) 🙌
“Jagged Little Pill” (album) is all killer, no filler
Her voice is incredible you should see her preform Uninvited live from the Grammy's
Baby girl owned the airwaves for a good decade🤘❤️ she is a doll
this was a MASSIVE hit back in the 90s "You Oughta Know" is also an iconc song from her
love that she acknowledges the contradictions that make us all human...
Uninvited is a GREAT one to check out
Yes! That live award show version that most people react to is AMAZING!!
"Uninvited " live is incredible.
Yes! The one from the Grammys
This album is honestly straight fire.
Alanis started as a domestic artist in Canada, some compared to Tiffany (a teen singer from US in 80s) who was popular at the time. She signed with Madonna's Maverick label and became Alanis Morissette professionally, this was her international debut. The album Jagged Little Pill is best selling debut album by a female artist in the US and Worldwide. This was the lead single from the album.
Her whole Jagged Little Pill album is FIRE! 🔥 Give it a listen. You’ll love it!
I'm 64 and a old rocker. I love The Jagged Little Pill !!!!! One of my favorites!
The whole of "Jagged Little Pill" is amazing - there's a story that her ex-boyfriend was in a record store, saw the album on the shelf and thought to himself "Oh, cool, so Alannis finally got a deal and a release". He bought it and put it on in the car, and was driving along thinking "This is great but she sounds so angry. I mean *really* angry. I wonder who she's angry with? Oh. It's me"
Also she was 21 when it came out. TWENTY ONE.
@@tobeskiDave got at her quite young.
“You’re so vain. You probably think this song is about you.”. Sounds like a folktale.
I still listen to this CD just like I did decades ago lol .. love Not the Doctor
That guy Dave (actor from the show Full House) didn't look like he had it in him to cause THAT kind of reaction in a woman. He seemed kind of goofy. Lol
FREE!!!! She plays several instruments and I saw her in Concert for the “Jagged Little Pill” tour. She was amazing in concert. Maybe check out “uninvited” live I think it’s an awards show.
You stumbled upon Alanis the legend. You need to go down that rabbit hole.
I love Alanis have since a teen. Proud that she is a Canadian!
The thing about Alanis is that she sounds just as good live as she does on the studio version. She is incredible.
Jagged little pill is a masterpiece! The entire album is about acceptance and love without judging… in my teenage years it lifted me up telling me that it’s ok to struggle, to be different but to recognize that weakness can be strength. It’s selfempowerment no matter how hard it will be! Thanks AM helping me keeping my head up! ❤️❤️❤️
Breh chill on the cig line if you think about the line the cig is getting flicked and usually go to a cig in stressful moments the cig is done meaning youve appeased the angst and everything is fine. It's a genius bar
American typical hysteria on cigarettes.
She will always be Alanis from "You Can't Do That on Television" to me. I was blown away when I found out this was the same Alanis 😂
Lyrical genius ❤
Yes. I especially love the way she breaks up words (example from Uninvited: "an un for tuuu nate slight"). It really makes your attention zoom in to make sure you catch it. So brilliant 🙌
She’s so good. That whole album, Jagged Little Pill, is fire. Not one track to skip.😎❤️
70 this year and I was not ready when Alanis was blasting on “free” radio, but later on my ears did hear and I was better for that. Welcome to the ability to be open, young one! Everything’s going to be fine!
"Uninvited" is 🔥❤️
Alanis has the perfect Eastern Canadian yodel in her voice. Just perfect.🇨🇦❤️Sarah McLachlan does it too, beautiful.
Agreed! I grew up as a HUGE Sarah McLachlan fan. I don't even KNOW how many times I saw her live ☺️✌️💙🎵
1993 was the year of women in rock, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, the Cranberries, No doubt, Melissa Etheridge, and Alanis dominated the airwaves that year. Alanis was the queen of confidence. Check out her song UNINVITED.
You can't forget the spice girls. My daughter freaked out when I took her to their concert in 2000 in Phoenix. My job gives me tickets to all the concerts 😊
And Sarah McLaughlin and all the women who played in Lilith Fair
This whole album is... just sit and listen to it. It's one of THOSE albums.
I saw Alanis Morisette live just a few yrs ago when I had a remission period and at around 50 she is still awesome 😎 She is iconic Love from Lisa the lyme warrior 💚🦠 To me her voice is stronger than when she was younger. Her newer stuff is great too 😊💚💚💚💚
This whole album is not only really good music it also has a very distinct vibe and message it can hit hard.
I was in university when this album came out, which was around the same time as Sarah Mclachlan's album 'Fumbling Towards Ecstacy"..... it was an absolutely LEGENDARY period in Canadian music.
One of the greatest albums of all time. Every single song is gold
You should 100% react to her performing Uninvited at the award show back in the day! Absolutely incredible!
She is a singer/songwriter GENIUS. “ You Oughta Know” and “ Uninvited” at the Grammys.
I took my daughter (who is 44 now) to see Alanis at Canadas Wonderland for her 16th birthday. I was blown away by her, the show and her band! Taylor Hawkins was her drummer back then!
Peace
Your comment gave me goosbumbs.❤
I was 14 and there too
She was just 20 years old here. Her album Jagged Little Pill is great from start to finish.
Dude this one of your best reactions and funniest too. But hang in there you just need to appreciate all the blessings you got, wife, child, friends.
Her debut album Jagged Lil Pill is amazing every track is a banger
It wasn’t her debut album (it’s actually her 3rd album), but it is definitely her best
One of my all-time favorite albums. Every song on "Jagged Little Pill" is 🔥
As my Gran would tell me ... "At the end of the day, everything is gonna be fine. If it's not fine .... then it's not the end!"
I am 66. Still needing to figure it out. The older I get, the less I know. Teens are the only ones that "think" they have it all figured out. Lol ❣️ Thank BP ❣️
Jagged little pill LP is from 1995 and every song on it is mwaa- chefs kiss always to Alanis. One of my favorite singers to sing along with in the shower. Listen to Head over Feet, and btw she writes all her songs except about 5 or 6 songs written by some great artists like Lennon - McCartney and Sting.
Love this cause it's just so nostalgic this was a hit when I was a kid and helped shape how I appreciate music and life
She writes or co-writes all of her songs, Her breakout album jagged little pill still stands as top selling debuts by a female artist of all time. She still looks and sounds incredible 30 years later.
It’s hard to understand just how huge she was after this album dropped. She had banger after banger and was on top of the world.
Jagged Little Pill came out while I was in university, and it was just a seminal album that represented a generation. Everyone owned this Album.
She had her first album made into a Broadway play! She is one of a kind!
Jagged Little Pill wasn’t her first album
@@2rare2die100 as Alanis Morissette it was.
@@zzz7zzz9 She was still the same person lol, adding her surname still doesn’t make it her debut album
@@2rare2die100 wrong. That album was higher-ups trying to create another pop star. She then took hold of her career and who she really is, put a band together and formed a group.
Just fyi the album this song is on, Jagged Little Pill, sold over 33 million copies worldwide. You should react to more of that album. Peace and love.
I always loved this song because it's about the duality of everybody in every moment in their life. Nobody is ever just 1 thing at any given moment and that's completely ok. It's OK to be a swirl of emotions
Yes, Alanis - quite the artist. "Ironic" next please - you'll love those lyrics too!
As mentioned earlier, the late Taylor Hawkins had been the drummer for Alanis.
Hawkins left Alanis to join the Foo Fighters when Dave Grohl was looking for a new drummer. Hawkins was the blonde damsel in the Foos "Everlong" video. Taylor had appeared in several of Alanis' videos (not this one), but most were limited to background scenes of the band. He appeared in video "You Learn" in the pie in the face scene.
Bro u have to do “thank you” by Alanis. And uninvited
You will get through it buddy! I had twins that were 9 weeks preme and in the NICU for a month. In the end we got through it. The kids are almost 19 now. They have had some issues through out their young lives but we pull through it. My daughter ended up with diabetes and my son has a kidney that didn't grow fully but we got through it. Just take a deep breath now and then. It will be ok!!
Now that you've finally listened to Alanis, you need to do some Sheryl Crow. Start with "All I Want To Do" and then do "If It Makes You Happy". Another beautiful face, Angelic voice, and thought-provoking lyricist that was popular at the same time as Alanis Morissette. I literally bought Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" CD at the same time as Sheryl Crow's "Tuesday Night Music Club". And both CDs are a debut that also turned into instant greatest hits albums.
I was just about to suggest he try some Sheryl Crow. 😅
I like if it makes you happy
@@motleydigger yes, that would be an interesting one to see BP's take on the lyrics.
Sheryl Crowe, " There goes the neighborhood."
Jagged Little Pill is an amazing album. Blew me away in the mid-90s. Still love it!
Hi BP, she is definitely 🔥...Peace ✌☝️😌
This song came out in the early 90s. In my early 20s and I was a newly married military wife. I had felt lost. Song spoke to me then and even now, over 20 yrs later!
Try almost 30 years. 1995.
This is a Gen X anthem. We have our Boomer parents, and our second generation WW II relatives. You came down on smoking, but if you were raised like Gen X, we can relate. It's a free, happy, and uplifting song. I love all of her music.
I've loved Alanis for decades....you should check out 'uninvited' & 'I remain'....thats some amazing craziness
Shes got one of the best voices EVER. Its amazing that she was 21 when this album was released.
She's absolutely incredible live until this day. I was a fan from the first time i heard her. Love this woman. So beautiful and talented, yet always humble and down to earth.
This album is PERFECT from start to finish. Jagged Little Pill.
A track by her that is absolutely gorgeous…Uninvited. City of Angels soundtrack.
This album sold over 12 million copies in its first two years. Jagged Littel Pill was an amazing record.
One of the best albums ever made.. enjoy.. Ironic is worth a listen too
This album sits in the rare collection of never having to skip a track.
You have to listen to Uninvited. Her vocals are beyond beautiful in it.
It will give you chills. I promise.
She is amazing live . She always puts on a good show. A must see live for anyone that is a fan of hers.
She just brings me to a whole other plane of existence........ her voice is so angelic and makes me want to cry..... but in a good way
Jagged Little Pill is one of the great albums from start to finish ....
This Canadian chick sure listened to Alanis a lot! Some chills AND some tears today! I needed to hear these lyrics as well ✌️💙🎵
She's great, watch some live videos. She goes insane on stage, been around for a long time and still does shows
This was a great tune. Ironic is another in the same line... :) love the diversity of stuff you look at on this channel, keep up the good work... entertain me!! Lol
Dang, dude, really appreciated your reaction on this one. Thanks, man
YES SIR, what great lyrics she has in thus whole album. And a voice to match..also make love to ur ears with some of the duo civil wars. Let them fill u with goodness 😊love how u run this show .random
I saw her in concert a few years ago and she is amazing! I remember when she was new and gave all women a feeling of justice with "You Oughta Know". She really struck a match inside of us all!
A great song from her for parents is Perfect. Super underrated from her catalog.
I believe her song, thank you, really showcases her vocal range.should check it out,and I'm a indica type of guy also!
Man. You in a good mood today BP!!!!
When this album dropped, it was everywhere. On the radio, videos all over MTV. It was a movement and it was amazing. You couldn't go into a bar without seeing somebody trying to cover this song or any of her songs. Incredible talent. Timeless. Jagged Little Pill is an amazing album and recently became a Broadway show.
Intelligent music…..🫶🏻❤️🔥🏴
I was in high school when this album came out. I’m 41 now. This album was a core memory for me and the impact Alanís had on me is too big to out into words atm. I love her music deeply. Thank you for reacting to 90s alternative!! I already loved your channel. The 90s reactions to Alanis, No Doubt these are giving me life ❤
This was my daughters favorite album, jagged little pill. I used to tell her this was the most positive song.
This song is so me today, and I'm old and retired. And you, BP, you are the best! Hang in there.
First concert I ever went to!!!! It was absolutely AMAZING!!! she sounds so great live!!!
that woman has a spell on me.. a fellow Canadian.. super talented.. love her...
Love her voice! Thanks for mix in it up BP! I love the randomness and variety! It is definitely working for the channel!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
You must see Alanis Morissette - Thank U (Official Video) Just epic, my brother of the feels.
Gives me shivers still & proud to say was one of the first albums I bought (with my student loan no less lol)!
If you ever want to blown away by her voice for real (including her beauty) watch her on howard stern when she is in that red dress with the jacket over it singing "you oughta know"
You are more important than the birds God has you covered brother !
This is my 90's personal anthem. Fantastic choice.
Uh-lay-niss is so awesome! Literally every single song is excellent ❤️❤️
Jagged Little Pill is still one of my favorite albums of all time. It's a classic. We're the same age and when this album came out it was so relatable.
She still looks great and sounds better than ever 🇨🇦
With out a shadow of doubt this was one song that played through my childhood, tbh jagged little pill album was always played growing up, big bless to my Dad and Mum for introducing me to Alanis Morissette!
"What the fff did I stumble onto today?" Welcome to Alanis 😂
"Ironic" is my favorite of her videos! Its so awesome
Saw her live like 4 years ago, still VERY good😊!
I saw her live about 9 years ago. She was amazing ❤
