One of the more rewarding sounds is the “click” the clips make when you gently give them a slight bump with your hand and they nicely set in to the door; ahhh success!
The plier trick on grabbing the clips to move them into place was pretty cool. Thanks for another tech video.
Once again digging the music choices for the sped-up quasi-montage sequence. In addition to the great auto tech info, I really appreciate y'all's video craft.
Nice job on the door panel. 😊 Thanks for the tip about the strip caulk. I used feathering disc adhesive to stick the watershield to the door. Strip caulk is less messy and you dont have to breath in the fumes.
Years ago when I had my V W Bug. I used TMI. They make really good stuff.
Thanks for the timely video. I’ll be tacking this tomorrow night when my stuff arrives from NPD
Great video! Considering a red interior swap on our 67; got this one saved for future reference. Hope all is well and cleanup from the hurricane went smoothly.
Another outstanding how to 😊
Ooh, a cougar got mentioned!
Cougar at 5:50.
Nice work
I've got the paper shields from NPD, but after watching this I'll likely just use them as a template for a contractor bag set up since I find myself tearing into the doors and windows much more often than I'd like.
You have skills.... I'm using your videos do restore my 62 Comet S22. (parts are sooooo hard to find)
Nice
Thanks!
I check the window handle with the window up and down. I like it as close to forward at both so it's away from my knees when driving
Forum member mentioned using self adhesive crash collision wrap instead of backing.
It is self adhesive (duh), but also you can see through it to help the rest of the install.
Cougar trivia. On the 68, the front window crank is shorter than the Mustang's
Why do you think that is? Sit lower in the Cougar?
@@413x398 not sure about sitting lower. Yes the cougar had a shorter seat riser, but the thicker seat foam made up the height difference. I've asked the question to some cougar experts and I'll reply asap
Okay, I have to ask. What is a "Contractor Bag"? And, where do I find them? I planned on using large trash bags when I begin working on my 1979 Mustang Ghia.
Contractors bag, lawn and leaf bag, large trash bag - same thing. Just get the heavier duty (thicker) ones.
My 1986 Ford van is paper
I’ve seen someone adhere the panel with magnets.
