Making a Bubinga Beer Buddy

- A beer caddy made from Bubinga with Birch accents, finished with Osmo 1101.
Though in this video I mark the screw hole layout on the sides individually, when batching out a bunch I prefer setting up a fence on the drill press table with a stop block. This allows for marking one side only and use that layout on dozens of them, one hole at a time. It's a worthy timesaver. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
most elegant beer buddy on youtube, hands down!
I love beer! cool job Maurice!
Very nice Maurice! Really enjoyed this video. Nice to hear you describing each section of the build as you go along!
One of the best looking beverage caddy's I've seen. Nice Job Maurice!
+Brad Kirn Thanks Brad!
Great project! The pace of your videos is the perfect representation of wood working; Slow, calm and very enjoyable!
Love the videos you put out and your shop is amazing
Very cool project and amazing shop.
I always enjoy your videos, despite being green with envy over your beautiful workshop. Really loving the voiceover approach. More please :)

Well done sir!
You deserve far more subscribers and views.
Very interesting and awesome result! Great video as usual!
+Tomy Covington Hei Tomy! This caddy is one of seven or eight pieces I designed and made for a corporate gift company, under the "theme" kitchen / food/ beverage related. Thanks for stoping by!
+Maurice Blok such a great idea. Thanks again for sharing the process..
super high quality work, like always! And great that you tried a voiceover, in my opinion this always gives more depth to the build and lets me learn a lot more than without narration.
+Felix Dietz thanks for the feedback Felix!
Very nice
Very nice Maurice

+Pieter Alberts Thanks for watching and commenting Pieter, zeer gewaardeerd

Nice project , like always ! =)
Excellent work. I wish I had skills like this. Nice job!
+Joe Robinson (GettinJunkDone) Hi Joe, thanks for the kind words. (Do believe these skills can be learned by anyone)
+Maurice Blok Yes, these skills can be learned by anyone. It's your designs, however, that set you apart. Every piece you have featured is beautiful and unique!
+Brian Hackett agreed 100%
A skillful tool
beautiful project Maurice, also like the voiceover!
High quality work ! Maybe a whine rack next?
Beautiful)
Much better than the plastic ones that trap animals :P Looks awesome! great result! love it
+Cactus! workshop Thanks!
Awesome job Maurice! It turned great. I also like the off voice you have recently add to your videos. I've only work with Bubinga once and I enjoyed a lot. Regards!
+Woodworking Barcelona Thanks for watching!
Very nice ;-)
It turned out great Maurice as always. I am a beer lover as well so I really enjoyed this one. Your narration was really good to. Although you pick some good music for your videos this was a welcome change of pace.
+joe brown Hi Joe! Can promise you one thing, next time there will be music again!
Maurice Blok lol ya hated being narrator that bad huh? Lol I enjoyed it you did a good job.
Stunning Maurice :)
+Henrys Workshop Hi Henry! Thanks :-)
hey Henry, when's the next vid out. it's been months.
Hey, I know! I managed to kill my laptop and lose all of my kitchen footage so I plan to just put together one final wrap up video once it is all installed, hopefully it will be installed in about a month! Since I posted my last video I have only had 2 weeks at home due to uni so haven't had much chance to get woodworking done :(
Nice piece. You mentioned that your planer has snipe. Is it bad or barely noticeable?
+Marius Hornberger No, no, you misunderstood (or I wasn't being very clear) I do not suffer from snipe with this machine much. Of course, when feeding a three meter long and heavy board it happens (unless when I use roller stands to sufficiently support the piece)
Really awesome as usual! And that belt sander is reeeally sexy!!!
+Giaco Whatever Hei Giaco! Thanks man, have fun with Dave :-) Looking forward
Nice project Maurice. The ending made me a little thirsty though!
+GuysWoodshop Cheers Guy!
Как всегда всё на отлично! Музыки только не хватает)
love seeing that shop!!beautifully crafted! ive never worked with bubinga...what wood you compare it to?
+Joe basement woodworking Difficult to make a comparison, it is hard like Mahogany and handles like hard Maple
Maurice Blok so its VERY dense wood? Anything coming up next on the shop list?
Nice job, one of the best i've seen. Do you have have any drawings or dimensions?
Not at the moment. I do plan on offering plans with templates if there's interest
mooi Maurice!
+Martijn Fransen Dank Martijn
Beautiful Maurice!!! Do you have plans available for this?
+waterdog711 No, though I have been thinking of making them! So.. not yet
Thanks for showing your interest!
Would you please make a toolbox.
Prachtig werk Maurice! Wat voor bier is dat?
+knives&stuff Een Fins biertje genaamd Kekkonen, die was ooit president hier.
Maurice Blok Oh je woont in Finland? Ik dacht al dat ik wat Finse woorden voorbij zag komen.
Ah, someday i'll hopefully own a (virtually) snipeless machine. I can't wait to make these for Xmas presents. While thinking about making these in batches, i thought that it would be easy to make extra and sell them on Etsy or similar. What is your philosophy on people selling handiwork based on your designs? I would first and foremost give you full credit in the product descripition. Please keep in mind if you have any qualms about this, i will NOT do this. (PS, this is a question specifically for Maurice, not looking for an open forum).
+Brian Hackett Thanks foremost, do as you'd like :-)
will you have template dimensions available?
Are you from Finland or Norway? just guessing...
+Piitter2000 Dutch living and working in Finland
+Maurice Blok I guessed the Finland part from the products you used, osmo and the other 😊
I politely disagree about the voice-over. I feel there are many other youtuber's doing the same thing. Your previous videos had an artistic feeling that made them very interesting.
+Nutzez Your feedback is much appreciated! Thanks Nutzez
I prefer video without narration! It calms me down
+Hennessy Ip Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated.
+Maurice Blok Ps: major Hennessy vsop connoisseur :-) (sorry, not intended offensive in any way)
+Maurice Blok btw very nice project, love the awesome design! Looking forward to your future video and projects:o)
Love the videos!
Curious if you have ever used these. If so are they really as magical as they sound?
www.popularmechanics.com/home/tools/reviews/a10417/these-are-the-screws-you-should-be-using-16729784/
+Box Jockey Well.. magical? :-) You mean those specific brands or torx in general? I don't use anything but torx if using screws. Happen to use spax sometimes
+Maurice Blok Hahaha maybe a strong word :) It was regarding torx in general and you definitely answered the question. Thanks for the info, I look forward to more videos!!
Dislike the voice-over. Otherwise, great vid.
