I m not afraid to admit that the only thing that gets me to the theater these days is mostly Tom Cruise. There is a special kind of purity in his films, no one else can attchieve. Barely any CGI short cuts and a good understanding of what makes movies good. His dedication and commitment is nothing short of amazng! And i really can appriciate that.
As in every creating craft, if you really want to create something great you spend most of your time studying other great works and experiencing them again and again. Cruise is a ridiculous movie buff, he just loves the 7th art so much, he knows cinema inside out and watches movie relentlessly, he has admitted so far. He knows how to make a movie tick, esp. since he had the honour in participating in some great ones himself. The man oozes film through and through. If he ever slows down to join the crowd behind the camera, I am willing to bet we will get some great movies and he will squeeze great performances out of his actors. All in all the man loves his craft and as you said, the audience can feel it.

Tom Cruise never disappoints the audience. The man is a true daredevil, a perfectionist, and genius when it comes to his movie stunts and production. He risks his life for the audience. The Mission Impossible movie series is probably one of the greatest series in action movie history. He is a legend. Never forget that.
the mummy, vanilla sky, minority report, war of the worlds; all disappointments and upon looking at his wikipedia I can keep going. Yall should save this gratitude for people in your day to days and not just rich people lining their pockets

There's no denying that Tom Cruise KNOWS how quality movies are made. This is the type of qualify Hollywood needs, and this is very similar to the 007 franchise as far as style etc. When the dude puts his name on something, he means it. Stunts, locations, style, top tier quality or nothing, and I'm all for it. Everything that you say is true. Except that in 2017 Tom made the Mummy remake, with Russel Crowe and Sophia Boutella, who was an emerging star at that time. That movie had Tom, it had action, it had great location shots, and there was some thought that they would have that Mummy movie, and then a werewolf movie, and a Frankenstein movie, and eventually they would have sort of an Avengers type ensemble movie with all the monsters. How did that turn out? The movie was watched by no one, instantly forgotten, and lost about $150 million. Tom Cruise is an extraordinary actor and movie maker. But, no one is infallable.
Tom has continued to wow me in all the movies he is involved ,watched Top gun recently and I can't get enough of it ,I'm watching it for the 100 the time now
This might be the greatest trailer ever. The way it builds up tension is just breathtaking. There is a beautiful rhythm to it, from the beginning, especially before Kittridge's monologue sets in. Then it carefully introduces the characters' faces, starting with Rebecca Ferguson. And only after Kittridge's "you got to pick a side", Tom Cruise himself is revealed. Then Lorne Balfe's bombastic score gears up with a very effective string of chords, underlined by magnificent action scenes. A stroke of genius: the synchronized blasts of the gas cartridges with the drums, which raises the stakes even more. A melody sets in, while we see a trademark car chase scene, Ferguson's badass swordfighting skills, and of course, Tom Cruise running - which blends, at exactly 90 seconds, into the Mission Impossible theme. And during its fourth repeat, we get this dramatic pause while Cruise and his motorbike fall off the edge a cliff... ending in the Title Card! Obviously, can't wait to see the film ... in about 11 months :-/

We laugh but if he didn't run and ride a motorcycle we would all be mad that we didn't get our moneys worth. And I damn sure expect the final movie to have the longest, most I tense sprinting sequence ever filmed.
As a person that sincerely loves and appreciates the contributions of this man to action cinema, this is bittersweet. Mission Impossible II was probably the first movie I remember seeing on the big screen and now we're close to the end of this epic
Just watched again all the franchise...except a few mistakes and some visual exaggerations M.I. 2 is still one of the best. The whole movie is full of hidden gems and I'm not referring to the action sequences, John Woo really knew his stuff..But what is best, the whole saga holds together pretty well even after 30 years. It doesn't forget his roots, continuosly reconnecting with the past movies..As an example, Vanessa Kirby is simply a perfect choice as Max's daughter having the same charme and lethal attitude of her mother...Not to mention how good is the team, Simon Pegg is better at every iteration and I simply love Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa..Too bad that Ving Rhames is aging too fast and that we will not see more of Renner's agent Brandt (which disappeared so suddenly). I actually liked him, especially in "Ghost Protocol". 🫤 P.s. "Fallout" was some kind of epic.. 😁

Nothing makes me happier than seeing Esai Morales as the main villain. He’s a proven veteran and still has a commanding presence. I was hoping to see him in the Marvel Universe at some point. Hopefully, this movie renews interest in this amazing actor.

From what I have read( can't remember where) Mission impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1( MI :7) and Part 2 ( MI:8) these will be the final 2 to close out the series,I believe Tom cruise had indicated as much due to age, etc if I remember correctly!!!! I was hoping he might wing suit out of a U-2 at 70000 feet and dog fight some Bogeys taking them out with Gatling guns strapped to each wing on the way down before plunging down a steep gully in the Alps all stealthy and taking out the King Pin on a balcony in Monterosa only to find he's out of ammo so slits his throat instead with a centimetre perfect fly by as security guards stand nearby helpless to do anything before pulling his chute and landing in an outdoor spa full of hot chicks.
Loved him in Tropic Thunder. I wish he would just do one more oscar worthy movie like Born on the fourth of July. He never is anything except excellent.

These MI films have been really the highest quality one could get outside of the Bond universe. This looks stunning. The casting of supporting characters has always been outstanding and unique. Can’t wait.

No matter how old he is, this guy will be pushing every limits of the possible to make the most spectacular movies ever, with a unique degree of realism. Not sure if we will see another one like him when he's dead (yes, he'll never quit the business).
This is unbelievably rare that this is the only film in the series that J.J. Abrams is not involved as producer in this movie or part 2. That explains why the Bad Robot logo didn't appear in this trailer.
Until now there is no one as charismatic as him. Flood with skills, action and the vibe that he brings whenever movies that he act. Once he down, what would that be. MI one of stage that created just for him.

anytime there is a movie with TC all the stuntmen are just chilling. Man's taking all their jobs and acting at the same time.

@@abigailelizabeth4729 The reason that Tom Cruise started producing the MI movies after MI:3 is that the traditional movie companies all told him NO when he wanted to do the Burg Khalifa stunt. So when no one would green light it, he said find I'll do it myself, and as a result we have some of the best action movies this generation.

From what I have read( can't remember where) Mission impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1( MI :7) and Part 2 ( MI:8) these will be the final 2 to close out the series,I believe Tom cruise had indicated as much due to age, etc if I remember correctly!!!! You have to figure that the first MI movie came out in 1996 with Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt,that's a pretty long and good stretch for a movies Series, franchise etc....
I don't know why I end up with tears at the end of this trailer, but I do know Tom would be phenomenal in this movie, as always🔥 Can't wait to watch!

I was hoping he might wing suit out of a U-2 at 70000 feet and dog fight some Bogeys taking them out with Gatling guns strapped to each wing on the way down before plunging down a steep gully in the Alps all stealthy and taking out the King Pin on a balcony in Monterosa only to find he's out of ammo so slits his throat instead with a centimetre perfect fly by as security guards stand nearby helpless to do anything before pulling his chute and landing in an outdoor spa full of hot chicks.

I remember watching the first movie recently and damn. This was already rly good but we came a long way when it comes to spectacle. This is by far the best action franchise ever made. Its just honest action cinema. Handcrafted stunts and stunning visuals. Love me some cgi but its nice to see actors performing in the real world not just in some big cgi led room
No matter how old he is, this guy will be pushing every limits of the possible to make the most spectacular movies ever, with a unique degree of realism. Not sure if we will see another one like him when he's dead (yes, he'll never quit the business).
