@@RoamingRailfan Melbourne to Sydney with a stop in Canberra (possibly extended up to Newcastle) would really be a great option for a Brightline-like service
Nice of you to shout out TrF / MNT ! They are a FANTASTIC hobby shop and have a really nice amount of model train inventory on hand. The owners are great people too.
I just returned from a short 4 night vacation in Melbourne Beach and saw some of this. From Route 1, I saw the railcar mover hooked to some hoppers at the Cemex plant by the big yellow overhead grabber. Driving 528 to Orlando, I was able to see things from your videos. At night, the long red LEDs from some sort of track-side detector close to I-95 was pretty wild looking!
Excellent video as always. I like the house at the end of the dead-end street, (With the utility vehicle and boat in the backyard), sitting right up next to the right-of-way. That would be a rail fans dream! Could you imagine sitting in your lawn chair, in your backyard, watching the brand new Brightline trains go by at speeds in excess of 100 mph! (Or what ever is posted). Not to mention local & long Distant "High-speed" freights. That would be absolutely awesome! 🚄
But, what you're NOT saying is, this section is not running double track yet, correct? I'm marking up a map to follow along and also show one other section not yet doubled, roughly between Gilford and Oslo, or did I miss something? Looking forward to the "great completion" episode.
I was under the impression the connection between Orlando and Miami was already completed a few months ago. Is this video about a different/alternate track alignment, or construction of the second track?
Oh, I first though that Brightline started to expand to Australia. LOL. 🤣🤣🤣
Brightline australia would be awesome!

Me too!
Omg the thought of Brightline giving ARTC track maintenance the kick in the shins it deserves 😂
Great video as always, thanks for the plug on our wonderful hobby shop they are great people!
3:44 Next time I fly back to Florida to see my parents, I’ll make sure to do that. 👍🏼

I can't wait to travel from West Palm Beach to Orlando MCO! No more 3 hour drives to visit family!
Another great video thanks for the update. Those hopper ballast operators sure get their daily steps in.
consistently great videos! Thanks so much for these updates with commentary, its very nice to see these even if i dont live anywhere near florida

This is a good explanation of a complex set of track changes. Great video! Thanks!
I lived in Melbourne for awhile near post road so I am familiar with where this is. Nice update.
Another great video! Happy Easter to you and yours!❤

Best train doco maker #AlgoBoost ❤
Excellent...thanks for the update!!
There’s a Melbourne in Florida?
Yes, named after Melbourne, Australia surprisingly
When I was younger, I remember thinking the same thing about the original one in Australia, as I grew up not far south of the Florida town.

This section is not double track yet
Have the tests between Miami and Orlando begun? I don't see trains on the Virtual Railfan camera in Cocoa.
No

This is double tracking the existing Florida East Coast Railway, which Brightline will use to get from Cocoa to South Florida
@@RoamingRailfan Thanks!
Oh, Melbourne, Florida! Haha not Australia! 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
You keep saying "cut and throw." What does that mean?
The existing mainline is cut and shifted to attach to a section of new track
What does the ""CP"" stand for
Control point
