Thank you for posting this, this is so helpful, especially for someone who has had more traditional vocal training.

How do I access the mp3 three you mention at the end of this training? I want to download and put on another device. Thank you.

In the video she mentions two different recordings. Where may we access the other recording with just the vocal exercises?

I've heard that trying to keep singing in the whistle register if you don't have perfect technique or aren't able to can seriously damage vocal chords- but the video says to keep trying even if it isn't working. Is it dangerous to keep trying even if I feel like I am never getting it?

I think stopping if it ever gets painful is always a good choice. I think when she says keep trying, she means over longer periods of time and not multiple times during one session because that can be unhealthy for singers.

She’s not saying to practice for hours on end. If it hurts, stop. Vocalizing in any register should be easy and free, even whistle voice. The main issues with whistle voice once you correctly access it usually come in the form of controlling the pitch and sustained phrases. But if it hurts to even attempt it, you’re likely not doing it correctly. It’s VERY difficult to access it, let alone use it consistently. Trying it for a few minutes a day shouldn’t cause lasting damage

You say that men's bridge is on f#... Do you mean tenors? I am a bass, my bridge feels a bit earlier than f#

@Zuleta On average, when a man’s voice, whether tenor or baritone, is worked into its mid to upper range, using very strong support, it is right around the F#4 where it will either flip into a falsetto or need to be modified. Many voices may feel more comfortable flipping up earlier than that, but physically, the male vocal should safely be able to sing strongly in a chest-voice sound until that point.

Zuleta, as a student of vocal pedagogy, I must say you are correct. The term that is not expressed in this video that one must know about is the passagio (or passageway). This is the part of the voice where transitions including a slight soft palate lift, and a dome in the head register are present. For more of the CCM stylings, the larynx will be held in a more neutral position regardless of where you are in the range. Coming forward to the masque while keeping the dome is optimal. You say you’re a bass? Your passagio Will hover somewhere around A or B flat. If you are a baritone, it will hang around D or E flat. Tenors like me generally hang around F for F sharp. Hope this helps.

what am I watching 😂. What happened to vocal training of yester year. This is cringey. I'll definitely have to do this vocal training by myself in the car with my tinted windows rolled up.
