What does he look like?
It would be great if they revived Hero factory with a sub category of sets dubbed “villain factory” and the whole series would be a blend of the original (1.0) and Breakout (4.0). The simple plot being that the villains decided to do what the heroes do “but better” to be able to finally beat the heroes…
I remember back in the day as a kid trying to order my own hero with that piece back during HF 2.0s run, only to discover it was discontinued. Didn’t care too much at the time, but man what a missed opportunity

31-35 pieces doesn't feel like enough to make anything, but that's coming from a System guy. I never bothered with the Designed By Me stuff because I couldn't get the digital things to work all too well, not to mention that the prices got really expensive because essentially you had to have someone go around the parts inventory and grab everything to make your set become a reality, it likely wasn't automated. Perhaps this is why the parts limitations were so strict for the Hero Recon Team. There were probably only somewhere between 100-150 parts to worry about. Just need a handful of bone sizes, shell sizes, and a few extra bits in like 6-8 colors each, a much easier sample size to grab from.

I remember wanting to order one of those back in the day. The ads for it in the Lego club magazines were super cool and mysterious. Made a whole bunch of heroes on the site but never ordered any!
I remember playing with that character designer as a kid, I never realized I could’ve bought my designs. I’d love to see something like that brought back, but I’m not sure how they’d do it today, or with what.
I still have and love that piece... If I ever make a self-moc it'll 100% use that part

I actually have one of these pieces. I just have to go back to my mom’s to get it along with the other bionicle parts i have over there
I have two legitimate ones and one that is just a silver one with black paint on the top. I had gotten four Hero Recon Team heroes during this time, but my second and third heroes were the only ones that came with the piece. I kind of wish I had bought my first one with the Recon chest armor and just give it a different armor piece later on to match with the hero's color scheme and then use the HRT piece for another MOC later. I think that when I checked Bricklink, at one time, the piece was probably available for 20 or 30 dollars or something. Certainly, a lot for that piece considering how most of the other colors cost around 20 cents a piece. I remember that I planned on getting my third hero as a Christmas gift for myself, but the announcement that the HRT chest armor was going to become unavailable in September forced me to order it a lot earlier than I had planned. So pretty much, I got one of my Christmas presents four months early because of that. What I don't understand is why they still had the chest armor piece appear in the builder, but you couldn't order it. If you tried to order it, it would give you the option to either switch it to a solid black one or to go back and edit the hero.
Good thing I got my hands on two of that chest piece.
I bought someone else’s hero with the chestplate off of eBay back in the day and just made it my own ever since.
Hope hero factory wasn’t cancelled and we still have hero recon team

What a blast from the past! The Recon Team set was such a cool concept. I ordered a few (also got that flame piece, so I should have the letter too). And I think I have... Two or three of those chest pieces? In hindsight I should've included them in all the Heroes I ordered. I think I made like, four of them.
Also, $20 for the chest seems pricey, but that's honestly not too bad. Not only considering its rarity, but also the fact that the Recon Team Heroes were already about that price to begin with iirc. Considering it's the only exclusive piece you get and the only way to obtain it, you'd be paying the same back then if you just wanted the chest.

When my order was delayed they also sent me corroder that was epic. I posted my hero in my community tab on my channel

I’m nearly done with my own Hero Factory collection and this piece has been eluding me, at least it’s affordable it’s just where can I pick one up, if anyone has one they’d sell and can ship to Australia I’d happily pay $50AUD or more for it posted 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I ordered one that was delayed for months after the expected arrival. Didn't get a promo letter or the extra part when it finally came, but I was given a giftcard from cutomer service. Kinda wish i had the letter.

1: I would love if someone remake the hero recon team building site (and some of the other activities form form the HF website. and 2: if I can ask someone to make a resin Lego part I’d difficultly love to comm to re-create that piece, if anyone know someone can do that let me know
