Your work is beautiful, I have been wanting to start soldering projects and I found you on TH-cam and you have inspired me to get started! Thank you 😊 💓
I purchase my stones from Soul Star Crystals group on Facebook! They’re awesome & located in NH here in the US! They sell by the “box” at 3 different price points, $10, $15 & $20 per box full! They occasionally get quality beads as well as other interesting items! They typically have 3 shows a week with no pressing sales & no stressful auctioning! It is 1st come 1st served tho but fun to just watch even if I’m not buying 🤣
Thank you so much! Tip: I’d now recommend an acrylic paint instead of the nail polish because the paint will hold up better with the heat! I appreciate your interest & support! 🙏😊🩵
Thank you for the tip . That really helps the colors stand out . I probably would have wire wrapped and notice it to late. But they are beautiful stones.
Thx very much! An update for you…I’d use white acrylic paint instead of nail polish for better coverage & less chance of melting of the nail polish! The benefits are the same though for more translucent stones!
Thanks very much! When you ask if the silver would damage the stone if it touches it…it’s the heat of the soldering iron you have to worry about more than the molten silver solder because nothing will attach to the stone without the copper foil tape! Metal itself won’t hurt the stones! Thx for your interest! I appreciate your support! 🙏😊🩵💙
Thank you kindly! I appreciate your interest & support! Any attachments whether jump rings or charms work best if the metal is an inexpensive metal alloy! Don’t use stainless steel! 🙏😊🩵
Thank you very much! The majority of soft soldering projects are 50% silver, 40% patina or 10% copper in color due to the nature of the actual solder material just like in silversmithing! I have seen a few people paint their projects but I wouldn’t think that technique would last very long! Electro forming is a technique used by some artists to produce a gold or brass plating but I haven’t experimented with that as of yet! The process is quite daunting to me 😂 Thank you for your interest & support!
Looks great, thanks for sharing your talent with us.❤
Thank you kindly! I appreciate your interest & support! 🙏😊💜

@@karensintuitivejewelry Hi Karen, I do have a question for you, where can I find the beautiful stones you work with?

Thank you kindly! I’m so happy you enjoyed this tutorial! I’m still learning & growing so I appreciate your kind words! 🙏😊💜
Karen, what a great video. Do you know what would happen if you place the silver directly on the stone? Does that damage it? Thanks so much 🙏🏼🩵

Beautiful work! May I ask what type of metal is the jump ring you solder on the piece?

Awesome video Karen! How do people get the gold look on these instead of silver?

What temp is your soldering iron set at? I’m new at this. Your work is beautiful ❤
Thank you kindly! My temperature is normally set at just under 700F for most projects! I play with the temperature when I’m experimenting tho! 🙏😊💜🩵
