So so pretty.❤ I've missed a lot, so thought I'd watch some of your videos tonight n just enjoy.😊 Catching up is fun. Always good to learn some new techniques. Hope life is treating you well, friend.🪶🪶🪶
Hi! I’m not sure what you’re referencing with Large River charms? But if you’re asking if special types of charms are need to attach with solder, then I’d say usually not as most mixed alloy metal charms, jump rings, etc will work with soft solder! I have found that aluminum & stainless steel don’t work! As I mentioned in the tutorial I purchase everything on Amazon & they inexpensive items! I hope I answered your questions ok!
Thank you so much for this awesome video! I was just looking on google to see if I could use my soldering iron to etch rocks and I came across this! I just started making jewelry last year and I'm a huge rockhound and am always looking for ways to incorporate the two... I didn't even realize I could use the soldering iron for this lol. I am so excited now! Oh, and also, have you tried using a jump ring "ring" to open your jump rings? It's a ring with two slots for different sized jump rings, I wear mine on my thumb and it's so handy! Unfortunately you still have to close them with tweezers, but it might make some of the process a little easier for you and others with tremors ❤❤ Thank you again!
Thank you for your interest & support! I’m excited for you too! This will open up a wonderful jewelry avenue for you & your love of rocks! Yes I’ve used that jump ring tool in the past but because putting a jump ring on is the last thing I’m thinking of 🤣 I don’t even think about using it! I really only saw a big benefit to remembering it if I was doing chainmaille projects! Good luck & enjoy! 🙏😊💖
I really enjoyed watching you work especially working over the pointy patterned edge of the stone. I really like the second bail which you tried out and would love to know where you got it from please. Thank you for sharing your talent. I have some sea glass and would like to see if it works okay without the glass breaking from the heat of the iron? ☺
Thank you very much! I’m thrilled to hear that you’re finding my videos helpful! I purchase a lot of items from Amazon & receive a very small commission when someone uses my links. I think these are the bails you’re asking about! amzn.to/4aeUtgh I appreciate your interest & support! 🙏😊💜
Q: When it comes to the *large river* purchased charms, bails and other findings - Do you do anything with the base metal pieces to bring them to the quality of your solder, do you buy upgraded findings ? Or.

Most mixed alloy metal charms work just fine! I would only upgrade to sterling silver if I was actually creating a SS piece!
Is your soldering iron a 100w ? And what brand?

What kind of wire is the jump ring made of?
The jump ring is an inexpensive mixed alloy but any metal jump rings will work EXCEPT stainless steel!
@@karensintuitivejewelry thank you 😀😘
