Most Domestic tourists prefer mountainous forested areas. International tourists like Backwaters and lagoons more than mountains that they are used to. Wayanad and Athirapally waterdalls are in top 3 for most Asian tourists.
I am from Kerala and must tell the fact, apart from its scenic views I can bet one can have the best and authentic non veg and seafood cusinie which cannot be matched to any other parts of India.

Also, there is St. Anjalos Fort in Kannur which is very big than the Telicherry fort and also the fantastic baby beach close to it. The newly opened Kannur International airport is just 20 minutes drive to the Kannur city, where there are lots of good hotels with reasonable rates so that the tourists can stay there and visit the neighboring tourist attraction areas in Kasaragod and Telicherry by enjoying the tasty Malabar spicy foods and sea foods.

Beautiful, Never knew that Kerala is so beautiful, the mouth watering sea food and lush green tea fields and beautiful sea side. The sea food restaurants on the side waks on the beaches are incredible. Really put Kerala on the top of my list of my visiting destinations. Beautiful and very interesting videos.

Congrats David!! Your update about the God's own country is excellent!!! Kannur is my birthplace. Also, there is St. Anjalos Fort in Kannur which is very big than the Telicherry fort and also the fantastic baby beach close to it. The newly opened Kannur International airport is just 20 minutes drive to the Kannur city, where there are lots of good hotels with reasonable rates so that the tourists can stay there and visit the neighboring tourist attraction areas in Kasaragod and Telicherry by enjoying the tasty Malabar spicy foods and sea foods.
