Adderall is not considered a smart drug because you perform worse on it. Also it makes the information fade out, because it does not allow your brain to relax and shift to creative mode.
Chris Sean, I was entertained while learning from what you shared in this video. I just shared it on my Linkedin. I have been one of your subscribers for years. I found you here on TH-cam years ago when I was searching for proof of self-taught software engineer success.
Thanks for the great content, Chris! I'm currently learning html & css and this video came just in time. I chose to learn front-end from books (the head first series). I know it's a longer path but I trust it will pay off in the end. Keep up the great work ❤
Hi Chris.. Thank you for always putting up resourceful contents... I've been following your posts quite a while now on spotify and youtube.. Thank you very much... I am a first class graduate of surveying and geoinformatics... bur I'm currently transiting into Software development.. I've mastered HTML and CSS to a great extent.. I just started Java script tutorial.. I'm desperately looking out for any internship or junior developer role to get my feet at the door...
Lol! I believe since it still shows the amount of contributions you did, it seems legit. I've seen private repo contributions, but can't see what they are contributing. Sooo I guess unless they ask to see your projects, your good to update little things 😅🤷♂️
Of course don’t rely one that 100%. It’s actually true that if you are not coding every day you will not get far. But anyway, for the other days: with only one commit you get a green square. I just use it when I don’t have time or forgot to commit something real.
HTML/CSS/JS is the easier path and also the standard for an entry level web developer. You’ll be more valuable learning other coding languages like C++, C#, JAVA, PHP, Ruby etc.
I don’t think these green ticks are the best measurement. I’ve been writing code every day for the past 2 years, but since I write in a company’s private repo, its not shown
Apartir de hoje, vou commitar todos os dias ! Todos meus projetos de estudos ! Obrigado pela excelência dica! Acabei de ser contratado pra Web Dev, eu preciso codar todo dia!
As a real project, i'm trying to build a ful fledged web project using spring boot, next js, postgresql, docker etc where you can upload your videos(like udemy), i wrote that uploader in node it's seperated from main server built with spring boot. But man, it's so hard to design and develop all the app designing all the database architecture file uploading etc. is it overkill for a junior project ?
I practice a lot but I don’t understand what I’m supposed to put on my GitHub. What if I just read some shit and tinkered around with how CSS properties work. Am I supposed to just fit this into a GitHub project somehow?
I think it's because doing A/B testing is way smoother for web than mobile app projects. That's why most projects start as websites before considering mobile apps to get the general overview about user experience, which is easier to spot on a web app.
I am sorry, but the person with everyday green github boxes is not a normal personal. If I were an employer, seeing this would be a red flag for me. You also mention you know him and he is toxic... Who would want that in their company?! Wtf?!?
@@skamdollasignkam3685 being a good developer does not mean to stay on github everyday. You need to have social skills, to have passions (other than coding), to have friends, to know how to interact, to do other things overall (to have different experiences), so that you can think outside the box when you need to solve a difficult problem. Brain needs rest from time to time also. You need to disconnect sometimes. This would be healthy to me. Not coding every day and only knowing that and have no life outside. Not saying that that person does not have / do these things, but still. I know people obsessed with coding, very knowledgeable, but it is super complicated to work with them. I would prefer a less knowledgeable developer that is willing to expand his knowledge + has a healthy work ethic, but him / her to be more open and easier to work with.
so the guy has more potential but he is toxic so u have to choose the other guy anyway 😄 I dont like this "personality" thing to be fair because it cuts alot. At my work at amazon i am one of the most experienced, but i never pass the lead interviews, my friend did however, and i made his CV, he is so bad lol he cannot make the letters on his CV same font or align together so it can look good, but he passed somehow idk 😂
i don't know who the hell made us believe that. That doesn't extist. Internship means someone taking care of you. Offer youself to a company for free and they will never approve becasue they don't want anyone to be out. Try it. Or either you get it and leave you alone without learning anything at all (happened to a friend). reality is worst than what youtubers show
Bad advice. Contributing any meaningful to any open source is not an easy feat for a person who is just starting out. I recommend not to stuck top tech companies I apply to all companies, work for 40-50k anything to get foot in the door. Then as you progress swtich to companies you actually wanna work for.

Got it! Have a custom portfolio and commit code frequently!
Basically, dont have a life and code every day before getting hired. I think its better to learn the skill on how to market yourself
Who needs a life!
Change Css color on h1, push to git, rinse repeat
They can easily see those commits. 😂
I like this advice so motivated to get better naturally...thank you Chris more power and stay resourceful contents.
This was a very eye opening video, thanks Chris!

In a few days after everyone seeking employment watches this, you can rename it to "how to be ahead of 80%...", then 50%, then 1% 😂

Whahahaahha
When you hit your 1000 git commit you will feel the change in your thought and how you write code.
Wtf? No you won’t. Completely arbitrary number
@@John-jp7yp I know it is just random number I give but there is a number where you will feel the change when you see it.
Thank you, you always think about new developers and give us advices
My friend got a interview just off her cv they didn’t even look at her portfolio she just had to do a test.
I have a problem, do you have github repo? I want to see how much you contribute

nice idea i do that, but please i have a question if should i put my learning repo privet or public ?(scripts, project, tutorial.. etc) ??
I can push random ass code 10 times a day changing one line of code. Should i do this if it gives me greater chances of a job?

do you think web developer (html+css+JS) is an easier/better path than back-end .NET stack (C#) or JAVA? could be a good video subject.

what if you have literally just started doing the freecodecamp javascript corse? Around when should you start doing open source?
Thank you for the valuable insights.
how I'm I going to contribute to open source to get these daily green ticks
Great advice man, thanks!
I don’t think these green ticks are the best measurement. I’ve been writing code every day for the past 2 years, but since I write in a company’s private repo, its not shown
unfortunately, they still check that. One hiring guy just told me to have it all green even if it means stupid updates
Can I upload codes from tutorial projects from TH-cam?
What is your stack Sir? front and back.
it was a nice video really learned a lot

Are you just doing 1 on 1’s for web developers?
For anything tbh
complete newb hear please help......... is there open source on github? i dont get how to do it?
Same here but I guess just watch some youtube videos that explain how to do it or search it on google I guess ?
Btw, why web over native mobile development ?
same here?
I think it's because doing A/B testing is way smoother for web than mobile app projects. That's why most projects start as websites before considering mobile apps to get the general overview about user experience, which is easier to spot on a web app.
As a new tutorial hell coder, the word contribute sounds heavy. What am I, as a person just scratching flexbox, going to contribute?
Lol fr

If you have to work for free for long just to get an interview, then you know the craft is over saturated.
The problem is I can’t even get an internship for free😢
The sad reality
Did you create your own projects and how long were you applying for?
