- Police in Mlolongo are investigating an incident where a businessman lost 1.7 million shillings to a gang targeting people withdrawing large amounts of money from banks. A daring move captured on CCTV shows how the businessman was trailed from a bank along Mombasa road to Syokimau where the group broke into his car and took away the cash stored in a safe inside the car boot.
I blame Bank Agents. Most of the time they are responsible
Hapo sasa.
Police will never find such criminals but will successfully trace mwananchi for abduction
Quite true
Smh
Walai .
Kwanza when they say that the plate numbers are fake , hope ends there ...
I hope they are very happy and build mansions with the money and never to steal again
The bank employees know those gangs well..
True
They're involved in the deal.
Totally. And banks will deny this. One of the banks agreed to transfer some of their staff and this nonsense stopped in that particular branch.
I'm certain about that Sir
not true inaeza kuwa ata hawajui shiiiiet
Wezi wa mchele Parliament mliwapata in 1 day lakini robbers hamwezi wapata. 😂😂
Who informed the thieves that this customer withdrew such an amount?🤔
Most Banks are very open you can always see what someone is withdrawing or depositing
@@cleaningwithprue1072 but withdrawing such a large amount has to be pre-planned you can't just walk into a bank and withdraw 1.8 million publicly. Someone had to have leaked that withdrawal information.
But not this kind of amount hizi unaeda ndani kwa manager@@cleaningwithprue1072
Bank agents
If he was in the bank and the cctv captured him why is it hard to get hold of him? 😮
Very nice it's clear photo they must be inside job the bank teller of that day. And the area police should proof to the public the truth of the incident
@taifakali1981 and if he was in the bank as a customer, his details including the phone numbers are known. So???
Its always an inside job. I went through the same in Kisumu!!
You work so hard, to acquire what you have, only for others to grab it without much ado!!
Sorry
Won't be surprised policemen and bank staff were involved in this robbery. Speaking from experience
CCTV in the bank should also be reviewed properly on employees movements especially when this customer was moving out towards his car. Retrieve all their communication data on that particular day
The banks are stupid. That kind of money you call the customer inside an office. You can't hand over that amount of cash over the counter! Honestly. Kenya?
There are so many tactics these robbers use to identify and ambush their targets not only by staring at the counter. It's very rare for the banks to give out huge sum of cash on counter and the people withdrawing are mainly business persons who have been depositing and withdraw money every time,i don't think they can be that careless considering that they were once the victims of robbery.
tellers are also colluding with thieves, kwanza equity

Bank employees cahoots with thugs truly sad!many banks it happens
I was once trailed like that on foot and immediately I realised that I was being trailed, I turned back and confronted the men and told them I had loads of cash and so they can take it. They hurriedly walked away and I went my way.
That was probably an inside job. Poor guy lost money for not being so smart also. Why keep such large sums of money in a car and leave it unattended? Unanjinyonga wewe mwenyewe.
I wonder
Or just do electronic transfer,
but sometimes victim blaming is easy when you are not the victim. It's indeed a dangerous world but people don't wake up one morning and plan to be robbed. We should not blame the victim for being robbed, it comes off as absolving the robbers
You can never be so smart.these people use charms, and agents are involved
Ata Hawa criminals ni ngombe sa wameiba na umeonekana kwa CCTV hio ni 15 years kamiti kwa pesa haikukusaidia, unatoka jela ukiwa shoga jamani!
That's only if the police do their jobs which in this country rarely happens
Also close friends have become dangerous nowadays
how do this thugs no that someone has withdraw large amount of money??kama sio inside job
Also charms
I don't know why someone would withdraw 1.7m cash, in the current period.
If you are buying something why not do bank transfers.
That is exactly what I don't understand.
I also asked the same....
Some businesses still rely on cash mostly. I don't know what the guy does specifically, but I know many business people who carry large sums of money.
That’s true Trudy, some wants cash and am like well ain’t doing that, bank transfer or no deal 🙅♂️
True
Do we have same police who used to trace people kwa post za protest za Gen z? Kazi kwenu
This doesn't make sense at all,,,I mean you clearly know you are carrying 1.7 million in your Toyota axio, then you proceed to go to an apartment in a very remote place then you leave your car outside unattended??? Honestly let's be serious with our monies.
How does one withdraw such amounts I keep wondering. Inside job from within or without why investigate the obvious.
Remember that a banks job is only to hold people's money. If they decide to withdraw for whatever reason its their right to do so neither is it stupidity. People used to put their money in their houses before they started trusting banks.. Tafakari hayo
If the robber picked the queue tickets twice as alleged then there is a possibility that he used an active telephone line. Thieves are never hundred percent thorough.
This insider information so the first suspect have to be the Bank teller
I believe the bank has clear footage both inside and outside their premises, they can produce it.
God bless this future light of Burkinafaso,Master of oration. Ethan wango. God bless Burkina faso,God bless Ibrahim Traore
Ruto must go

😂😂😂
😅
Kenya banks they need to introduce drive through for banking and withdraw
Even after introduction of new generation number plate, better live automatic number plate recognition system is required with proper database
kenya police is incompetent and can't help:
Someone snitched from within
My mum went through the same sort of ideal but she was drugged. It is indeed an inside job coz how do such people know one is withdrawing a large amount of money?
...how did they know!?
That's the question
Obviously it is an inside job.
Ilikuwa deal how do you leave such amount in a car.
Kwani alijuwa ataibiwa @@kevinkosgey5341
An even better question is why withdraw such a large amount of money in the first place when you can transact digitally or even via check.
This is so unfortunate. Why do people do this 😭
This is how i lost my 5k shillings two years ago
But kenyans love risking also.. 1.7m unaancha ndani ya gari unattended? Surely
The problem is also lack of some bank branches in Kitengela, one has to go to Sameer to access some of the banks
Citizen please inform us how the investigations concluded
Cashless is the way to go in this country
Illuminati is not allowed
Nope. There are more online scams than physical these days. Best to spread risk - carry/sleep with small amounts of cash, use mpesa, atm, purchases by visa debit card,, online banking, bank app, over counter withdrawal and transactions, cheque, and any other means ive not mentioned. Also at times one service can be down so have back up with another means.
Ata hiyo tutachukua
This is where zakayo have reached Kenyans🤣🤣
The explanation not making sense!
This not something new it has been there for over 10 years. It is never advisable to carry cash especially if you dispose an asset
We closed an account with a certain bank because we wanted to transfer like 600K and the teller advised us to withdraw all the money and take it to the other bank in cash so we didn't have to pay like 650 shillings for the wire transfer... 😅
The teller must have thought you were going to fall for the clever scheme.🙄
@@user-un5ts6tk2d I was shocked by her audacity. How do you openly encourage a customer to do something so obviously unsafe.
So he can fix you. Did you fall in that trap. Give us the whole story this was a short story😂😂😂

You sound like you survive on stealing. Could you be one of the thieves?!
The thugs are Kenya police themselves. They have to steak money for Ruto and his 2027 campaign. Bank employees are in cahoots with these thugs.
I highly suspect some people working within
ubwa wezi wa bank employees saitan mtaanza kufa kaa hao polisi wakorofi akiona 50 Bob anasahu adi mungu yuko nkt
