My dad told me a story once. He was hunting with a friend, and they came across a large hornet nest built on two tree limbs. It was about 50 yards ahead of the vehicle that they had arrived in. They walked under the nest with their guns. On the return trip, my father's friend mentioned the genius idea of shooting the nest with a shotgun. My dad advised against it, to no avail. The Nest was shot and my father and his friend barely beat the Hornets back to the 66 Bronco that belong to my dad's friend's father. My dad said that it sounded like someone taking handfuls of BB's and throwing them at the Bronco.

Usually greed or laziness. Laziness if they plan to do something with it but just never get around to it. Many are just being greedy and think it's worth a fortune when it's really just junk. I've seen nice cars rusted into oblivion and sunk into mud so bad there's nothing left of them, all because the owner was obsessed that it was valuable and turned down many reasonable offers over the years, it's never enough for them. See lots of these types of people on American Pickers.

May I point out two very small points of interest, 1. Not as honeybees who go into their nest with smoke, wasps, yellow jackets, and hornets, both english and white faced become very agitated with smoke. 2. Having experiences with honey bees since I was 5, when I found out I was allergic to them, now at 67 and an avid beekeeper have been called out on many a swarm to find out that it was some sort of paper insect hive. The best way to get rid of wasp, yellow jackets or hornets, water will not damage surroundings is to hose them down to the point that there is not a bit of the paper left. This kills the larva, drowns the hive, and leaves any survivers to fend on their own which they can not do since the sent of the hive has been washed away so they have no place to congregate.

Kao, being that the door was probably left open in the first place and i really doubt that someone has been driving that particular vehicle lately you have 2 options, make sure all windows are closed tightly and let the sun burn them out or as i previously said, flush them out with a hoes, water (rain) causes paper type wasps to go into the hive that way as you wet down the hive you not only disintegrate the hive you drown the live bees.
Never knew that but that's how I always got rid of them!
