You are exactly right about being brave about painting a piece of furniture. I’ve had people almost appalled that I painted a cherry piece of furniture. But, it is our home, our choice. And as long as no animals are harmed in the process - it is okay. 😂. Good job!

Just found your channel recently, and one of my favorite things about your home decor is you allow both natural wood textures and painted furniture to exists without making the space clash. I'm going to be moving in a cottage soon and have been struggling with with I should paint my furniture or keep it in a stained tone, so your videos have helped me realize both can exists in a beautiful home.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful pieces. I need to revamp my home. And though I love the Farmhouse style, I don't want all painted white, distressed furniture. You help me see how a mix of colors and wood tones can be beautiful.
Soo late watching this video!! Love all your flips. Love how you mix the paint and wood. You dare to dream and go for it. My problem is that the pieces I’d like to flip are sentimental and I have to think hard before I take the plunge!! I’m just not digging the matchy look and want to mix it up a bit. So after watching this... I am closer. My favorite of your flips is that corner cabinet. Still love it every time I see it. Speaking of seeing something... I did paint my piano with Jolie Paints because of your video I almost went with the same color as yours but it was a darker color so I decided to buy the Gesso White which I loved! My daughter took lessons in this piano when she was little so now it’s in her home she just purchased her first home so I gave it to her!

Love them all but the corner hutch is my favorite.I do love wood in my home and I do not paint everything.you made your home so cozy and beautiful.so glad that your home is not all hobby lobby and kirklads. It is special pieces and things you thrift.

Totally agree with you regarding “not needing to have a lot of money to have a beautiful home” but you do need time to collect the furniture pieces, willingness to do the work required to redo a furniture piece and you need creativity and a vision! ☺️

I love to put conversation pieces in the home. My husband and I recycled furniture when recycling wasn’t popular. Most of our furniture has a story behind it but we love our home, the same as you do. I enjoy your video’s

Love how you turned those 5 pieces into something that looks like it belongs. Now, I'm rethinking my own furniture that could use a spruce up. Painting what I have. Thank you for sharing your flips.

You have a good eye for seeing the beauty in wood pieces but also for choosing the right finish. It would be amazing if you would put together a dozen finishes that would all go together - mostly paint colors but a few stains as well. You have a beautiful aesthetic, and I could see you having your own line of products someday.

I love the furniture pieces that you redid!!that is so true -it is your home and make it what you feel comfortable with!!I had a buffet and China hutch that my mom-in-law had graciously given us when we got married 27 year ago and 6 younguns beat up over the yrs -i was so scared to paint them but they turned out super and I'm so glad I did!!

I have my husband's grandparents dining room hutch in a cherry finish. It is beautiful but I'd rather it be lighter wood/painted. I haven't been able to change it yet though and my Grandmother constantly tells me "oh, I wouldn't change that..." or "I wouldn't get rid of that." I need to just change it when I'm finally ready to, lol
Sometimes ill find a paint color I like and ill get the shade mixed 25% lighter or maybe darker.
Great inspiration for furniture flips. I’m currently looking at a few cherry colored pieces that I want to strip for a more natural lighter color. We are empty nesters so I ve switched the red couches out for beautiful light creamed slipcovered ones. Now the dark cherry color tables are just a bit much. Thank you for inspiring me to tackle this long over due project which will be a first for me. 🌷🌷

Thanks for all your inspiration! I am repainting my entire house in a white, but don't want a stark white. Having trouble finding a "soft white", but will keep looking. We have LOTS of doors and windows, live out in the country and I want light and airy! You have given me great ideas for some of my furniture finds that need "revamping". :)
Your corner cabinet looks good with the lighter color. The details were hidden with the darker color.

I'm not sure how these flowers are called in English, but I really love them! Especially white ones! They start quite early in spring and the smell is just luxurious! Saw them in your video and just got spring-nostalgia:-)

The chest of drawers looks so different and so much better, like a different piece! When you sand pieces down to the wood, do you varnish them or leave as is? Isn't it fun to make things your own? :-)
Each one is fantastic. My favorites are the corner cabinet and side table. Do you paint in home or garage? What is best time of year for it? I always heard chalk paint chips a lot. Is that normally the case? Curious to try it.

I agree that it is your home and you should do what you like, but I think if you want to paint something, and you have a really nice piece of furniture that isn't your style, then you should sell it or give it to someone who will appreciate it for what it is. Then get one that does not have good wood and paint it the way you like for your home..... It makes my heart sink when I see a really good piece of furniture painted, or dissembled and re-purposed. Especially if it was an antique.
