    If you have Mini-Z, old or new, bring it! We’ll put you in a class.
    I intentionally made this MR04 EVO slower with Kyosho 30 tires in the front so that I can enjoy driving the car and making it steer using the car's body roll. This kind of reminds me of the PN70 Class we have back in the days (2008) where I would even put a coin in the roof (inside the body) to make the car "roll" a bit and get traction using Kyosho tires. Anyway, I'm hoping we can get this Kyosho Mini-Z MR0/MA0 Chassis back in because it's super simple to tune and drive. No need to do anything to the tires other than using a tire tape and you're set!

    Thank you for showing the setup of your mr04! I am wondering how do you shim the front knuckle top arm to prevent PN rim from rubbing it? Where do you actually put the shim on sir? 1:36sec

      @tjaymacRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No shims. I showed that I shaved/sanded down the edge of the upper arm to prevent it from hitting the PN wheels.

    Last question to ask you sir, not necessary to use the top shock & spring?

    • @tjaymacRC
      @tjaymacRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All depends on the setup. I suggest to start with PN Tplate #4 without top shock. Just use PN Disc Damper set. I personally don’t like to use top shock on MR04 because its top heavy.

      @tjaymacRC you are the best! Do u use any silicone grease on the PN disc damper? Pls do advice the oil thickness if any. And which colour spring do u use for bottom and top? Wish to copy exact setup as ur mr04 as my starting base setup. Have a nice blessing day ahead sir.

      Thanks. I use Kyosho Gear Diff Grease #5000 on top only. For the springs, I'm using NEXX Racing soft springs because its what I have. If I have PN, I would use PN's soft springs. I don't preload the springs too much so that the rear can return to center asap. All depends on the track and driving but on my current MR04, this is my setup.

    • @tjaymacRC
      @tjaymacRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh I’m only running 1 spring (green) and 1 disc, on top only. No spring, no disc in the bottom.

      Ok done as you said so it's right if it's a very loose rear end

      @@bazmack4697 Sorry, I’m not sure if you’re telling me or asking me something here. I also don’t remember saying something about loose rearend.

    why don't you use Marka tyres? you will become faster, front v5 25, post v1 10

    • @tjaymacRC
      @tjaymacRC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you. I run Marka rears and PN KS fronts on all of my race kit cars. The MR04 I bought it just to drive around the track but still be able to play around with the 2500KV LiPo cars running cheaper tires without traction roll (understeers).
