Kevin, just wanted to say thanks for making these videos. I am about to rebuild my roof on my Coleman Evolution E3, and your videos are by far the most in depth and informative one's I was able to find!
I have been remodeling my popup camper. This has been really hard for me. I have most of my camper completed. Thanks so much for the video. You did an wonderful jov.
Just an FYI for the future, to remove the styrofoam insulation you can put some acetone in a squirt bottle and spray it on. The foam will instantly dissolve and come right off.
what did you use to support the rounded corners where there was originally some type of insulation jammed in there? I'm currently working on a roof myself.
What are the wooden strips called at 7:33? We need to replace ours in our popup camper as well, but I'm having a hard time searching for them. Thanks for the great videos!
Great videos!! had to find start to finish ceiling replacement for these Fleetwood campers so thank you so much for doing this! I have one question on the 1/4 round pieces with the channel grove for the wiring. Where did you find those pieces? What size are they. Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing your process. How did the weight of the roof change from before to after? It seems like you might have added more by replacing styrofoam with plywood on the sides. Did you ever put the rubber roof on? I'd love to see the next step of putting it back on. Really nice work! Thanks again!
Is there a next step video? Would love to see a video 4 if there is a one of it all out back together and how ya did that. These videos were so in depth. We are doing research for the spring so we can restore our roof before we put our new canvas on.
How many sheets of plywood and sheets of foam and sheets of lauan did it take. I'm restoring my 1986 jayco king 6. About how long did it take just work time, how much did the weight change?
I would imagine there's no worries. I have a bonair 1400 that has a tank of a rooftop. It actually has a bunkbed that is attached to the rooftop. It's steel-built, and scissors up into the roof when not being used. Super-heavy. And, my trailer has hard walls that fold down as the roof is dropped, and raising the roof, raises the walls with small cables attached to them. It's an '80s model, and is still going strong in 2024.
You need a part 4!
Sorry.
Man, y’all did a good job, probably waaaY BETTER THAN, the place where people takem to be fixed!!! Good work man!!! Take care y’all
Thank you so much for the comment.

Looking good Kevin. Got the whole family in on the repair. LoL
Looks good Kevin the whole family did a great job we rebuilt one 26 years ago.
To seal pin holes in the aluminum, use Gflex epoxy mixed with chopped fiberglass or fiberglass cloth. I use it to patch boats all the time.
Great tip!
Thank you.
what did you use to support the rounded corners where there was originally some type of insulation jammed in there? I'm currently working on a roof myself.
Awesome work! I need to get our Coleman popup top redone like that. Just wish I had away to do it
It's hard work but you can do it Brent.
Looks very nice. Well done guys.
What are the wooden strips called at 7:33? We need to replace ours in our popup camper as well, but I'm having a hard time searching for them. Thanks for the great videos!
Do you mean for the wiring?
Great videos!! had to find start to finish ceiling replacement for these Fleetwood campers so thank you so much for doing this! I have one question on the 1/4 round pieces with the channel grove for the wiring. Where did you find those pieces? What size are they. Thanks so much!
Not sure but I think those were the original pieces to the roof. I'm sorry I'm having a hard time remembering.
Fantastic job everybody.
Nice job, lookin like new money there!!
We will be getting the rubber roof soon it will be nice.

Very well done guys... also very motivating 🍺

Thank you Mick.
Maybe coat all wood in some kind of water proof sealer before nstalling to stop rot and mold and such.
Thank you for the video...was wondering if there is a part 4 for how to put the canvas back on?
This is the only I have after the build sorry Travis. th-cam.com/video/q8ewYPr2P1w/w-d-xo.html
Did you guy's finish the camper?I just started tearing into our camper. Valuable information, thanks
It was my son's project he did finish it.
It was my son's project he did finish it.
What rubber did you use for the roof ?
Sorry that was many years ago and i can't remember.
Hey Kevin! Is the roof bowed at all or is it completely flat? When you glued the big prices and the styrofoam was it at a curve???
Great job y’all.

He the same stuff I used on my cargo trailer camper to seal the roof the weight not bad it worked out great not to heavy.
Is there a next step video? Would love to see a video 4 if there is a one of it all out back together and how ya did that. These videos were so in depth. We are doing research for the spring so we can restore our roof before we put our new canvas on.
Good job everyone
Where did you get the wood strips to insert between the roof and wall?
I stripped them on the table saw
What happened to the rest where is part 4
Sorry
I was really hoping to see how you I stalled the rubber
Sorry kewshi I was on vacation when he did it.
@@Robinson-Homestead did you put the rubber on it?
The weight on that is probably crazy heavy. Good luck with the lift system
Still working great thanks for the comment.
Nice job! Do you think it would be worthwhile to fabricate 3/4-inch aluminum frame for the roof?
Not sure.
Did you check into marine grade plywood?
Might be Too heavy Randy.

I will let brandon answer this he will let you know.
How many hours do you think you put into the project?
About 3 days thanks for the comment.
Kevin Robinson
I think I only have to do the roof overhangs as I didn’t fall through it cleaning the top.
Thanks for the tips!
How was it with the weight, was it to heavy for the cables
All good so far working great.
Where did u get new molding at?
I'm not sure I will ask him for you.
Thanks for the videos. We are also curious about this...
How much did it cost to fix the roof? I have a pop up and am in the process of remodeling her
Not sure I would have to ask my son.
How long from start to finish? I have to do mine .
My be a week not for sure.
Looks good but you have to watch the weight you don't want to start breaking the cables that lift the roof.
I would imagine there's no worries.
