I hope I will get an answer :), So I have a Rodecaster pro and I did a live stream with it, now I bought yololliv instream and I don't know how to connect everything so that the sound of my microphone doesn't get delayed. Please, is it possible to remove this problem? can the Rode microphone still be used?
Seriously late to the party, but i just bought the Yolobox Pro and audio latency through USB when using it as a webcam (for instance, for Zoom) is terrible. The audio is WAY behind the video. Only solution I could find was to use the HDMI out on the Yolo and a cheap capture card, so audio and video both went through HDMI and into a laptop. I kept the Yolobox set to audio from Camera (HDMI) 1, which was a GH5 that received line-out from a Zoom F6 with 6 microphones. The GH5 has good preamps, so did well enough. And audio was separately recorded on the F6. BTW, the F6 (and other 32-bit float devices from Zoom) record 32-bit tracks very quietly--they don't even register as a visible wave in FCPX. Need dedicated audio app to bring them up first.
I clicked on because I have a yolobox and am looking for this solution. Too bad it would appear to not work with the yolobox. Hopefully they can straighten that out. Could you point me towards a video of yours that would explain what is necessary to be able to do a podcast?
It seems to work with the original RCP so hopefully they can get it working with the new version as well. I don't have a specific video on how to create a podcast. Which part of the process are your looking to learn? Recording? RSS feeds? Something else?
Hi, Tim here. I just saw the Yolobox update with remote guests... this is the update I've been waiting for. I am a Switcher Studio/Streamyard user and I am totally remote on beaches and in bars in Tenerife... my specific use case would be two or more local "hosts" using the mixing desk for audio (at the moment ZOOM L-8) two local cameras and up to three remote guests... I want to buy a Yolobox Pro so I am able to use the highlight comments feature, overlays, pre-recorded content and a second video source with my GH5mkII (at the moment I am streaming either using Switcher Studio or directly from the camera) and use a Rodecaster Pro II connected over USB to control the audio, jingles, sound effects etc. when you get the Rodecaster Pro II working over USB can you do a review of the remote guest feature and audio just over USB and how the remote guests audio comes back into the Rodecaster... hope this makes sense.
Yes, makes sense. The biggest issue I've found is that the Yolobox Pro appears to add about 100ms of latency to audio which is a huge problem. Will need them to fix that first for it to be useful for my work.
Got a few questions- I'm having issues with the time set on the Rode Caster 2, time will not keep- every time I turn the machine off, it resets by 5 hours, and connecting the unit to speakers for output. The function is not working correctly. I don't fully understand how this is setup, but it's definitely an issue. Please give me your expertise.
Important update: I did further testing and found that the latency is NOT from the RODECaster Pro II's monitor outputs. In fact, the 100ms of latency I experienced appears to be from the Yolobox Pro. Here are my test results: th-cam.com/video/eL87A6iJxME/w-d-xo.html
@@curtisjudd cool. I have the YB pro and original, audio sync has always been an issue, but not noticeable for my use case (weddings). With the delay on line/mic now available it's my preference
My speaker icon on the 5” monitor on the RCP2 has disappeared- I feel it’s a easy fix- any idea about how to get it to reappear? Also noticed that the unit getting to the point where I’m having to unplug to turn it off- not Turing off by itself. not sure what happening- I welcome your advice.
And I didn't notice the audio lag you mentioned in your video itself, how did you get that lined up since you mentioned it wasn't the normal latency you'd expect?
I don't think they expect the target audience to use the monitor outputs to feed audio to camera - at least not with the original RCP. But the new version has a specific setting for line output, so I'm not sure what they were thinking. And I also don't know what Blackmagic Design is doing with their ATEM Mini USB outputs...So close, yet so frustrating.
Did you ever get it to work better with the yolo box pro and rhode
I didn’t try, to be honest.

On the F6, with a setting, you record post fader so levels are not so low.

Can you make a video and how to setup step by step

Wow, good catch. I was starting to loose confidence in RODECaster.
Good news, sort of :)
@@Budapestfm Bad news for Yolobox, good news for RODECaster Pro II.
This link just points me back to this video.
@@vivamoment Sorry about that, fixed it.
did you try sending the audio into the Yolobox line or mic in?
Not yet. This was the only time I used this.

Not sure - haven't experienced this. Probably best to contact RODE support. Best wishes!
Were you ever able to resolve the audio feed from the RODECaster into the Yolobox Pro?
And I didn't notice the audio lag you mentioned in your video itself, how did you get that lined up since you mentioned it wasn't the normal latency you'd expect?
@@OkayestHunter It was an issue with the Yolobox Pro at that time. Apparently they've updated their firmware, but I haven't tested it.
@@curtisjudd it works now, however there doesn’t seem to be a way to use YOLOBox as an audio source into my MacBook
@@OkayestHunter Yeah, a bit too much of a moving target. I went back to my previous streaming hardware.
@@curtisjudd Hello, Curtis. What setup is that, Blackkmagic? Thanks.
what rig are using to stand your yololiv up?
That's a mini tripod by a company called iFootage
Hi Curtis, i tried to send the sound from RCP2 to a Yolobox ( p10 dual mono to p2 stereo). But it doesn't work. Can you help me?
I wasn't able to get it working last time I tried. Will cover it again if I figure it out.
How do products like the Roadcaster's delay or ATEM's USB video get released? Do they think we will not notice or just don't care?

Can Ecamm slow down the cameras video feed? I'm pretty sure you can delay audio in ecamm but I'm not sure about video.
You can delay audio, but not video as far as I'm aware.
"Yolobox" sounds just like "yellow box", the way you say it, Curtis.
I think I'd be a little confused if I hadn't heard of the Yolobox already.
Mmmhmm.
