Muutos.art - Purkutaidetalo, Demolition Art House | Old Office Building, Ratina Tampere Finland 2024

Tampereen keskustassa, Ratinanrannassa Pyhäjärven vieresssä, purettavaksi määrätty toimistorakennus on muuntautunut elämykselliseksi taidetaloksi, jossa kuvataiteen eri lajit yhdistyvät vangitsevaksi kokonaisuudeksi rakennuksen 3 800 m2 tiloissa.
Muutos.art-taidetalo sijaitsee hyvien liikenneyhteyksien päässä Ratinan stadionin kupeessa, osoitteessa Voimakatu 11.
Ratinaan pääset hyvin julkisilla liikennevälineillä.
Näyttely on avoinna 14.6.-31.8.2024
Muutos.art-taidetalo esittele lähes 50 taiteilijan, taiteilijaparin ja työryhmän teoksia rakennuksen 2. ja 3. kerrokseen levittäytyvässä ryhmänäyttelyssä.
Talon tiloihin on rakentunut laaja kokonaisuus monipuolista taidetta.
1. kerroksen gallerioissa nähdään vaihtuvia näyttelyitä. 2. ja 3. kerroksen ryhmänäyttelyn tilalliset teokset hyödyntävät ja haastavat entisen toimistotalon puitteita kiinnostavalla tavalla.
Suurnäyttely käsittelee ihmisen ja ympäristön välistä suhdetta. Ajankohtaista teemaa on lähestytty kierrätyksen ja materiaalien uusiokäytön keinoin.
2. ja 3. kerroksen maksullisen näyttelytilan lisäksi 1. kerroksessa sijaitsee kaikille avoin ja pääsymaksuton kulttuuritila, jossa järjestetään vaihtuvia gallerianäyttelyitä ja tapahtumia.
Upeartin toteuttama Muutos.art-taidetalo sijaitsee Tampereen Sähkölaitoksen entisessä toimistorakennuksessa.
Toimistorakennuksessa oli viimeksi Tampereen seudun keskuspuhdistamo Oy:n toimitiloja. Lisäksi rakennus on näkynyt televisiossa Koskinen-sarjan Sorin poliisiasemana.
Voimakadun toimitilat eivät ole vuokralaisia kiinnostaneet. Alunperin sen ympärille piti kohota muitakin toimistotaloja, mutta toimitilarakentamisen painopiste siirtyi Ratapihankadun varteen ja koko alue jäi vajaakäytölle.
Uudessa asemakaavassa paikalle on piirretty 6-10-kerroksisia asuintaloja, joissa on asunnot noin 400 asukkaalle.
Voimakatu 11:n kiinteistö on täysin kunnossa, eikä sen purkamisessa ole järkeä. Rakennus valmistui 1997, ja se on tarkoitus purkaa näillä näkymin keväällä 2025.
Purkaminen ja uudelleen rakentaminen, jota Suomessa tapahtuu jatkuvasti, on iso ympäristörasite. Näyttely pyrkii herättämääm keskustelua siitä, miten siihen voisi tulla muutosta. Luonnon kunnioittamisen, kestävän kehityksen ja kierrätyksen arvot näkyvät näyttelyn teoksissa. Niissä on käytetty muun muassa kiinteistöstä löytyneitä materiaaleja ja ne pohtivat ihmisen ja ympäristön välistä suhdetta.

A three-storey office building to be demolished has been transformed into an experimental art-center in Tampere, South Finland. The exhibition Muutos.art Tampere explores the relationship between people and the environment through art.
The Muutos.art-building is located in Ratinanranta by lake Pyhäjärvi next to Ratina Stadium at Voimakatu 11.
With good transport connection you can easily get to the Ratina ditrict, center of Tampere, by public transport.
Muutos.art Tampere summer exhibition is open 14.6.-31.8.2024 (June 14 - August 31, 2024).
Different forms of art will be combined in the 3 800 m2 (40 000 sq ft) space, and the overall theme of the exhibition will revolve around sustainable development.
On the 1st floor, there are two gallery spaces, which are allocated to art associations and individual artists. On the 2nd and 3rd floor, the main theme of the exhibition will come to life as the spaces are filled with immersive and site-specific artworks that reflect on the reuse and recycling of materials.
The Muutos.art art house realized by Upeart is located at Voimakatu 11 in the Ratina district, in the former office building of Tampereen Sähkölaitos (Tampere Enegia, Tampere Electric/Energy Company).
The office building housed the offices of Tampere seudun keskuspuhdistamo Oy (Tampere region sewage treatment company). In addition, the building has appeared on TV as the Sori police station of the Finnish Lakeside Murders (Koskinen) crime drama and Nordic noir series.
The offices on Voimakatu have not been of interest to the tenants. Originally, other office buildings were supposed to be built around it, but the focus of office building shifted to Ratapihankatu street and the entire area remained underutilized.
In the new site plan, 6-10-storey residential buildings with apartments for approximately 400 residents are drawn on the site.
The property at Voimakatu 11 is perfectly fine, and it makes no sense to demolish it. The building was completed in 1997, and it is planned to be demolished in the spring of 2025.
Demolition and rebuilding, which is constantly happening in Finland, is a big environmental burden. The exhibition aims to spark a discussion about how it could be changed. The values ​​of respect for nature, sustainable development and recycling are reflected in the works of the exhibition. They have used, among other things, materials found on the property and reflect on the relationship between humans and the environment.
