    Vande Metro should be operated in Kerala, as it's high density area with high Per Capita and about 600 kms long.

      im from kerala and yes. judging by the sheer profits generated by the vande bharat express here. (i myself have travelled aboard the vande bharat about 20 times now😂❤) the vande metro will surely have a great ridership in kerala❤ already the railways are planning a hub in kollam kerala❤

    In my opinion as our railway minister said it is developed as option for regional rapid Transit just like RRTS but Govt can't spend that kind of huge money everywhere therefore they developed this train so one thing railway can do this it should be operated like a suburban rail system to cover a distance of 100 -200 km cover many stations if required make some changes in the train so that it can be stopped at each station .

      I think Ahmedabad - vadodara and Surat - Mumbai are two best route in gujarat for this train as it always have so many people travelling on daily basis so trains always stay over croweded.

    churchgate to dahanu will also be a good route as there are many people travelling on daily basis and 2 rakes can be used for multiple rounds

      Currently there are only 2 tracks operational between Virar and Dahanu though 3rd and 4th tracks are being built . So VB metro between Churchgate and Dahanu makes sense only when all 4 tracks are operational else the train will be as slow as the slowest train on the line.
      Same for Mumbai Pune and Mumbai Nashik, the ghat sections are already overloaded and Kalyan-kasara and kalyan- karjat sections still have only two lines operational.
      So unless more lines are present and operational, it won't be feasible to run VB Metro in Mumbai suburban sections or to nearby cities.

      @@suryanshsingh8492 trust me, Virar Dahanu section is sometimes busier than Borivali Virar section.
      a lot of freight passes from north India to JNPT via Dahanu - Virar- Vasai - diva - JNPT route. another is, a lot of express trains also pass through this section via either Vasai -diva-Kalyan-karjat /Kasara and beyond or Vasai -diva-panvel -Konkan railways. freight trains also pass through here.
      As of now, Dahanu Virar section is still 2 track operational and 3rd ,4th still under construction.
      so either until WDFC gets completed and all freight moves there and /or 3rd ,4th line go operational, that section will still be congested.
      same congestion is the reason why there are so few churchgate- Dahanu local trains. there is a huge demand but there is no slots available to run more trains.

      as of now Dahanu - Virar section is still 2 track, 2 more are being constructed and till the 3rd and 4th are complete, the entire section will be heavily congested.
      same is the reason for not having more local trains in that section despite the heavy demand. morning trains from churchgate to Dahanu are so packed as lot of people from Mumbai work in the industrial sector of Boisar ( and to some extent in Palghar)

      @@suryanshsingh8492 i think i replied to you in another post on this but still, existing 2 track Virar -Dahanu section is already saturated due to a lot of freight trains from north India towards JNPT and vice versa. also, a lot of mail trains from north india come here to connect to Central RY/ Konkan RY via --> Dahanu --> Vasai --> Diva --> Panvel or Kalyan.
      3rd and 4th track construction is ongoing but until that completes as well as when WDFC completes, the freight will shift to WDFC, and outstation trains will shift to 3rd and 4th tracks in Dahanu - Virar- Borivali section.
      current 2 track system restricts the no of local trains running till Dahanu, which is why there are so little local trains in the Virar- Dahanu section despite the huge demand. those trains go packed :(

    I think vande metro should always be an improved and comfortable option of local trains and it should be operated like that only. Vande metro should be in service in Mumbai Suburban as well as Mumbai - pune - Nashik traingle route . If required vande metro train can be improved to halt like Mumbai AC local so that the crowd over mumbai suburban railway and Mumbai - Pune Nashik route can be reduced.

      They are not the same at all. The width of the Vande Metro is the same as MEMUs (10.5 feet) and not as wide as Mumbai's Suburban trains (12 feet). The amount of doors per coach too, is the same as an MEMU (4 double doors per coach, 2 per side), while Mumbai Suburban trains require 8 double doors (4 on each side) per coach.
      Hence, Vande Metro is suitable for regional operations (replacing current old MEMUs) but not Suburban operations within metro cities like Mumbai, Chennai, etc.

    Mumbai main use karna chahiye like..
    1. CSMT - Karjat / Badlapur / khopoli on central railway line
    2. Churchgate to Dahanu
    3. Dahanu to Roha vai Panvel
    And railway must try to reduce the travel time with this train
    So it's will benifite to common people.

    I live in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh and Indore is just 50 kms from here and there is a lot of travel btw the two cities like you can get a bus in every five minutes to Indore plus people use their personal transport as well. If they would run it btw Ujjain and Indore it would be instantly successful(if they are more frequent). They can maybe add Dewas too which would add couple of Kms more.

    One such problem is with Patna-Ranchi, Patna-Howrah VB as there is already Jan Shatabdi running with same route similar timing. Ranchi VB runs on slightly diff route.

    You probably haven’t done your research well. The belt from Vapi to Ahmedabad doesn’t have trains you could introduce 10 new vande metro and still it will be crowded

    Don't be to concerned. Indian railways has adjusted its train routs in the past based on similar concerns you just mentioned in your video. I'm sure they will adapt if a problem comes.

    There's no EMU , DMU or any passenger train between Bhuj to Ahmedabad. People catch private bus and spend whole night which charge minimum 900 Rupees. Vande rapid takes 5.5 hours, starting early morning and reaching at 10 .45. Which makes sense and provides comfortable journey compared to bus.

    Delhi already has very good metro connectivity but its overcrowded and vande metro will give people more options the best return on investment is run this in delhi ncr region

    Surat - Virar
    Ahmedabad - Vadodara
    Vadodara - Dahanu
    are the most demanding route for metro line as a replacement of memu (but need to be required as much as stoppage of memu to board the comfort of passenger)
    For Mumbai
    Churchgate - Virar
    CSMT - Kalyan - Karjat
    CSMT - Kurla - Panvel
    Andheri - Kurla - Panvel
    As a replacement of Mumbai western, Central & Harbour Local (but need as much as stoppage as Mumbai local should be required for the comfort of passengers)

      It is not a local train replacement as locals are for different reasons ( max people, multiple stops, quick entry and exit of passengers by wide doors).
      VB metro is meant to take people long distances upto 300km with stops spread atleast 30-50km apart. Else it is not going to speed up much.
      It is not gonna help in Churchgate virar section. But yes , it can help in Churchgate to surat section or in Mumbai Pune , mumbai Nashik

      ​@@vikha2182 imagine a VB metro on mumbai pune section during peak times, it starts CSTM, stops at Dadar, Thane , Kalyan, ( to get passengers only, no getting down) and then, from Kalyan , it reaches lonavala directly and then a few station in between till pune. Same in reverse, few stations from Pune to lonavala, ( no outgoing passengers ) and then it stops at Kalyan ,Thane ,Dadar ( no incoming passengers) and ends at CSTM.
      This method will prevent overcrowding else it will end up creating more problems than what it solves

    Bandra local railway station se Bandra terminus ke liye sky walkway jaisa kuchh banao. Kitne log suffer hote hai. Heavy luggage utha kar bahar jao fir auto pakdo. Waste of time and money. Itni chhoti chij to karo pehle fir ye sab vande metro ka socho.

      They have built one from Khar station to bandra terminus. I am not sure if the current skywalk at bandra station is connected to the Bandra terminus or not.

    I agree. What we need is a Japan-style very frequent train services between two metros within 150 km. In Japan, any two cities are connected almost on an hourly basis - something that Mumbai-Pune could hugely benefit from: airconditioned, clean, with onboard catering, and stops in most stations. The same could be done between other twin cities - Mumbai-Nashik, Ahmedabad-Vadodara, Vadodara-Surat, Mumbai-Surat, Bangalore-Mysore, Bhopal-Indore, Chennai-Coimbatore, Chandigarh-Amritsar, etc. I also agree with the assessment that there is railway bureaucratic sabotage at work.

    You are correct. As i live in bhuj, i can say that this train doesn't serve its purpose, we have 2 express trains running daily from bhuj to banda at night. This trains take around 6 hours to reach Ahmedabad from bhuj, and the new vande metro also takes 6 hours, no saving in travel time plus it runs in the morning.
    If someone is traveling 6 hours he needs confirm ticket.
    Plus this train departures at 6:00 in the morning, no time flexibility which buses provide.
    There used to run train with around 60% couches unreserved and others reserved before this vande metro came. This model of 40% reservation could work.

    Vande Metro is of 2 types 12 coach and 16 coach. 12 coach will be used for intercity routes 200-400km who cant afford Vande Bharat. 16 coach will be used for 200km routes connecting to metro. Vande Metro 16 coach trail in AHMD route is a trail for testing of the rake fitness and may not be the route. 3 possible high density routes are Surat Mumbai, Nashik Mumbai and Pune Mumbai.

      Exactly!! European style (especially Swiss style) Regional train services have the capacity to completely transform the way India travels for the better. Door-to-door travel will get revolutionised. India's biggest road block to development has been its poor transport links and once that is resolved, I am sure India will develop much more rapidly.

    In my opinion this train shouldn't be used for point to point routes. Instead run as a network of lines that branch from a hub in a city (like suburban rail) and each tier 1 and tier 2 city should get this network.

    Same thing happening with Vande Bharath between Mangalore and Madgaon. It takes more time than the other express trains. Cost is also more. So no one is travelling... Hardly 10 20 people are travelling.

    vande Meto me mene travel kiya ahem to bhuj, kafi acchi train baki normal train se time bhi kam leti hai and comfort bhi hai 5hrs ke hisab se + jo unreserved seat ka hai, vande metro me jada log travel nhi krte hai aur capacity 1500 ki hai to aram se beth ke ja skte hai.. overall train acchi hai 2 min ke hi stoppage hai..

    For long duration trips I think government should invest vande bharat money on straightening the tracks , our existing trains can also run on 160kmph because most of people want faster speed of travel , most people dont want good looking trains it is not their priorty , speed is their priorty. And i think it would be cheaper to implement then replacing most trains with vande bharat

      Most existing trains cannot run at 160 km/h. It is unsafe to run non AC coaches above 140 km/h. Plus, WAP7 locomotives have a top speed of 140 km/h. Afterall, WAP7s are basically modified WAG9s. WAP7HS variant is not successful as it trades tractive effort and power for speed. Plus, its Co-Co wheel arrangement is not track friendly at high speeds. The way forward to make all trains compatible to running at 160 km/h is to make them completely air conditioned and use WAP5 locomotives (and we have less than 300 WAP5 locomotives in the country). WAP5's lower weight and Bo-Bo wheel arrangement are perfectly track friendly for higher speeds.

      @@thetechnocrat4979 Bhai many trains can go beyond 160 if tracks allow few trains like rajdhani and others which have all AC coaches and little adjustments in Wap 7 , even if trains run at 130 i am happy , but here most of the high speed express trains runs at 40-50 kmph average speed forget about normal trains , main issue is track upgradtion and turns in tracks and the lack of tracks , doubling is not enough for high population in india , most of the trains have to wait hours and hours , you would have also experienced it.

      The little adjustment in the WAP7 (HS variant) failed and that's why, it's important to have a full passenger-only locomotive like the WAP5 to achieve high speeds. WAP7 has inherent limitations because as I said previously, it is already a modified WAG9 locomotive.
      The WAP7's Tractive effort drops like a stone at round the 120 km/h mark. To change that, you will need to change the gear ratio which will severely affect its acceleration. And as I already mentioned, long Co-Co bogies are not track friendly for high speed operations.
      That's why I said that most trains are not capable of hitting 160 km/h unless they are made fully AC and given a WAP5 locomotive.
      I don't know where you are living but WR corridor has most trains running with a good average speed. It also comes down on how section controlling is in a particular area and how much traffic is concentrated on it at a particular time of day. Freight traffic can also negatively affect the flow of passenger trains.
      If there are trains with different top speeds sharing a mainline, that too causes complications and delays.

    I was thinking one day that all the important metropolitan cities and economically rich cities like Delhi, mumbai, chennai, kolkata, banglore, Hyderabad will have a RRTS system after that vande metro will be used as an extension services to reach other cities located near to it
    For example I thought if Delhi RRTS can cover all the cities that are located 200 - 300 km away from Delhi such as Delhi - Gurgaon - Alwar - jaipur = 300 km approx, Delhi - sonipat - panipat - kurukshetra - ambala - chandigarh - solan - Shimla = 300 km , Delhi - Gaziabad - Meerut - muzaffarnagar - bijnor - haridwar - Rishikesh RRTS= 300 km , Delhi - gaziabad - Noida - Greater Noida - Jewar - bulandshahr - Aligarh - Mathura - Agra RRTS = 300 km , Delhi - Faridabad - Palwal RRTS = 150 km , once RRTS reached to other states like UP , Rajsthan , Himachal, uttrakhand, Punjab, haryana then vande metro could be used as an affordable version of namo Bharat train to connect less economic important cities for rapid mass transport such as from Agra - kanpur = 200 km , kanpur - lucknow = 100 km , lucknow - ayodhya , ayodhya - Gorakhpur, ayodhya - varanasi , patna - varanasi , Gwalior - Agra , gwalior - jhansi , jhansi - bhopal, bhopal - indore - ujjain, jaipur - ajmer - jodhpur, Ajmer - udaipur these lines that I have thought for now . These lines can solve the mass Rapid Transit issues as well as these kind of lines can solve the. Festival season rush also vande metro should be allotted to all the tourist places cities for easier transport options.

    Vande metro was originally the Nitin Gadkari's idea back in 2016 called "Nagpur broad gauge metro". The plan was to run it on high traffic Satellite cities of Nagpur in 100km radius. But the railway ministry copied this idea and cancelled Nagpur broad gauge metro. If this metro would have been implemented, it would have been a massive success but the railway ministry sabotaged us.

Naam Vande metro hai to isko ussi tarah use karo 5-6 hours ki journey mat do isko. 3 hours ki dedo to din me 2 bar chala paoge train ko. EG Ahmedabad - Surat ho gaya ya fir Mumbai - Surat.     It should only run between the cities whose distance is around 150km and it can be successful only on busy routes like :
    Mumbai - Pune
    Mumbai - nashik
    Ahmedabad - vadodara
    Delhi - agra
    Delhi - meerut
    Lucknow - kanpur
    Indore - bhopal
    Bangalore - Mysore
    Ernakulam - Calicut
    Howrah - kharagpur
    Chandigarh - ambala
    Amritsar - Ludhiana
    Patna - gaya

    In kerala this train is huge success. Only issue is the lack of track. So other trains needs to adjust for vande barat passing.

      Maybe u meant Vande Bharat.Vande Metro is different,Will be successful on routes like
      ERS-CBE/SA
      ERS-KOZ
      ERS-TVC
      CAN-PGT
      provided it has the perfect slot.

      Keralaa route is already running on over capacity
      Only option is make new tracks or silverline
      K rail is best option which will make all kerala as a city

      @@sadathaddu new tracks shud be built to segregate local traffic (Memu,Passenger) and express and other premium trains.Regarding K rail,
      1)No doubt it's a high speed train but totally unnecessary in a state which has a more floating population.
      2)If tracks are enhanced,This can be achieved.
      This is just my personal opinion and not any hatred against Krail

      @AbhinandIgnitius in kerala every district capital have good local connection. So therby connecting all district capital is what needed.
      I lived worked and travelled a lot for my work in kerala. This is the need of the hour.

      @@sadathaddu A suburban system+Vande Metro+Vnde Bharat+new tracks are only needed.This established a good connectivity.Regarding K rail,There's no need as of now,It doesn't suit the commuting needs of passengers in a state where towns too are growing

    doesn’t matter if it fails india needs good trains and infrastructure if that’s not profitable for government that doesn’t matter they are making profits by taxing us they can use a small portion of money for public transportation it would help india
