I was born in '89 but my older siblings are all 11+ years older than me, thus I have a soft spot for 80s movies. My bro introduced my sis and I to this a year or so ago and this has got to be one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Gotta love that zoom.
Lol I wish the clip would’ve been a little longer “It could be anything, a candy wrapper, an old receipt those things blow around all the time…. Uh no, it’s my note….” 😂😂😂
This whole sequence would be my way of selling this movie to those who haven’t seen it. The writing is so perfect for this kind of comedy and it has the best cast who give the best deliveries, like you were saying with Art: “It’s a…. Uh, no, yep this is my note.” And Ray running into the back door and angrily crushes the cans, and Carol’s like, “okay great. You crushed a beer can. Happy now?” God bless Carrie Fisher
'That's really burns my ass' 'What?' 'That old fart ..... he got the best lawn on the Block, and you know why? ............ 'Because he trains his dog to crap in my yard'
💨 In all due respect I believe the funniest scene in this most hilarious movie was when Mr. Rumsfeld slipped on top of the roof while holding a high powered rifle and fell off, hit the ground and shot his own freaking car’s windshield out in which was a Corvette and if that wasn’t enough, then Ricky runs over to him after applauding with his friends 👏 to tell him ,” that was really cool man.”💨
I loved Tom Hanks as a comedian he always had me in tears......I loved watching his comedy movies....I never liked him in serious roles, I still don't...though he's had success with serious movies I still wish the old Tom was still around...he was truly a funny guy.
Hanks iconic rapid head nod of suppressed rage. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jokes aside, nobody just has a femur lying around, that alone would be enough to get the cops involved to see if it's real.
I accidentally went into the wrong screen room and ended up watching the whole thing. I can’t even remember what movie I was supposed to see, but I snuck into it after watching the Burbs. 2 for 1.
Still, it is the one smart thing he did in the whole movie, noticing he was playing fetch with a human thigh bone and concluding that someone was murdered for it.
The zooming in and out thing works so well here. Its not often I see it, Anyone else seen clips where the camera zooms in and out fast? I can name a couple. 1 - XTC's "The Road To Oranges And Lemons" 1988/1989 Promo clip, 2 - Australian Band Rabbit's Live For TV Promo - 1975/1976
I wonder how your neighbours would react if you actually wrote a note “I know what you’ve done”. They’d either freak out or laugh hard by recognising the movie quote 😂
There is a FB group called “The Burbs is the best movie ever” and it’s the greatest group I’ve ever joined. It’s nothing but everyone just posting memes and quoting the heck out of this movie. GREAT community 👍🏻
It's a little late now. So many cast members are dead. Two out of three of the Klopeks, Carrie Fisher, Rick Duccommun, Gale Gordon. I suppose a movie would still be possible but it would be a little depressing and these 30 years later sequels are rarely good.
The zooming in and out when they're screaming is the best
Make u think of PSYCHO
Dam straight
One of the funniest parts of the movie.
I never get tired of that scene lol.
2:18
I die when Tom Hanks is still screaming after art stops 😂
Early Tom Hanks was the best!!!! He has the best fits and screams, and I miss that about him. Now he's all serious and realistic in his films.
The camera gag on "This is Walter" works so well!
Lol. I love when Tom Hanks yells.
lol yes me too!!
I only think of woody hahah
Me too lol 👍
Oh 80s Tom Hanks how we miss you and your freak outs
yes
Today's Tom Hanks is nothing but a slave to Pedollywood.
He did freaked out a lot didn't he
+1😌
R.I.P. Rick Ducommun.
...Mr Ducommun immortalized..ART..that dude neighbour we all wish we had..RIP

Can you imagine your dog bringing home a femur? I'd freak out too.
Not if it was fake.
He is not coming out until he resembles the man that I married.
Carol we don't have that kind of time. LOL
you think this came off a chicken or something?
RIP, Rick Ducommun: WHAT A TALENT!!! You'll be missed!!!
Proud he was Canadian.
He's gone??

Never! I loves the 80s
What do you think of Caddyshack 1980
@@Noah1997callahan I haven't seen Caddyshack in its entirety! Like the gopher though.
this is one of the best movies ever with a ridiculous amount of great lines..."you think this came off a chicken or something"
The awkward dinner scene is the best. There's almost no dialogue and it's one of the funniest parts of the movie
