Wait? Window 10 is allmost TEN YEARS OLD? What the hell happened? Only 5 minutes ago it was NEW!
Time does fly
Huhu
Hehuhahehuhahhahahahahheuhehuehehauehhahaueheuehua
I honestly thought that it was released in 2012-2014 so it was even older in my imagination
🌚
Its funny how all of a sudden Windows 10 is getting love, whilst when it was mainstream everyone on the internet was bashing the OS for the silliest things
The main problem was the newly released updates that often gave errors. After a few weeks or months, they were stable. That and the system became increasingly heavier: W10 1511 or 1607 (2015-16) consumed less than the current one.
It's windows 11 which should be bashed because it's trying to refine the UI front which 10 didn't and was made just so people would stop hating there metro UI which should've only exist in windows Phone, which they killed only to cry on it years after.
I don't expect windows 10 eol to move a day and that's fine, because nobody will throw there fine running PCs and laptop just because it can't run new OS. A majority i believe run older versions of windows 10 which isn't supported anyway, all the good things of 10 only came within updates in it's 10 years of tenure, so hating on 11 by comparing it to the latest update of 10 is using brains from knees.
I agree. Compared to Windows 11 in terms of smooth experience, Windows 10 still holds up...
And tile shortcuts on Windows 10 make Windows 10 more colorful
I miss the old tablet UI, Its not even in recent current versions of windows 10
i am confused on how this guy has soo many subscribers but low comments views and likes ya'll gotta support him he is speaking the truth
Appreciate the kind comment! Most of our subscribers actually came from YT shorts but we'll try to make more long videos for new viewers!
@@SurfsharkAcademy You gained a new sub! Totally liked the way you explained everything!
bought channel thats why
👏
Still use the original desktop background, it's perfect
Remembered back in 2015, when saw Windows 10 launched on Internet, I felt like want to try it. Cause device's limitation in spec, even lack of ability to install Windows, Windows 10 was still like a dream
Until 3 years later, in 2018. When bought Asus laptop which came with Windows 10 (it even supported Windows 11, as hardware inside of it were eligible. I'm not lie, is true). I have many joys and sorrows with Win10. From some lags, even ability to customize like using Android OS, and changing colors like Win8
I loved to change the start menu tiles with custom icons and images (using tile iconifier) and really make it my own!
Windows 10 system recuirments: you need at least a Windows Vista PC
Nice
Yeah umm. Nobody wanted Windows 10. The only people who upgraded to 10 were people on Windows 8 and those on 7 that got auto updated. The only reason Windows 10 is so popular now is because Windows 11.
Yo, try Windows 10 LTSC that is i use, as it is supported until 2027
There is also Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC that’s supported until 2032.
@username-mb2qh They might receive windows updates for so long but programs like Chrome steam etc will no longer receive updates unless the windows 10 share market remains over 10%. So windows updates begin to be kinda irrelevant if the market share drops under 10%. That's exactly what happened with windows 7
@@codenzo1277 windows 7 ESU ended in 2023, and that's when chrome or steam etc. ended support.
Windows 10 = Sharp Square
Windows 11 = Rounded
Windows 10 = just right click
Windows 11 = more click
Windows 10 = its fast
Windows 11 = sometime its fast sometimes its slow
Windows 10 = modern dekstop UI design
Windows 11 = approaching MAC UI design
Windows 10 = they quite messing with legacy UI but its consistent
Windows 11 = alot of reddit user and forum including me pissed off
linux = literally anything
A lot of UI’s have rounder corners these days, not just Windows 11. TH-cam’s UI became much more rounded this decade too.
@@a_nickname028 aaand a lot of tinkering, compatibility issues with certain hardware and software etc. It's great for basic needs but once you need certain specific programs to work it falls short.
😂lmao
Do you you know rounded ui uses significantly heavier than normal corner ui
You had me until you said Windows 10 was "refined and consistent"
fr, like windows 10 dark mode is so inconsistent
Windows 10 didn't even try to be consistent on the UI front, it just wasn't ugly like 8 so no one minded.
@@hemangkorane1797honestly, I think Windows 8.1 looked much better than 10. More colorful, consistent, and fast
2:04 Excellent. Since Windows 10 is still up to date, and if you are a geek in computing. You can mod the file explorer to have them similar to the ui. And it doesn't need a dedicated programming language. Just a graphical ui and that's it
Windows 10 is NOT the best Windows OS (which should be Windows 7 imo),
but it is the best Windows OS that's officially supported (well, you only get to choose between 10 and 11, and 11 is a joke)
you windows 7 holdouts are probably the most annoying stereotype like my god everytime someone says "this os is the best" you people just say "WINDOWS 7 BEST BECAUSE IT WAS PRETTY BLAH BLAH BLAH IT WAS STABLE" just move on already god damn it, 7 is out of the leagues now so stfu
@@technological69 You're acting like comparing only 2 available Windows OS and saying 1 of them is "the best" has any actual decent meaning, especially when everyone knows 11 is hot garbage.
@@kaze-xo when was i comparing operating systems though? my point is stfu about windows 7 being the best, every windows version comparison video ive watched has at least ome or two pissheads blankly shouting out "OH WINDOWES SEVAN BEEST I NEVOR WILL UPDATE TO WINDOW ELEVAN OR TIN!!1!"
@@technological69 Calm your ass off, maybe cuz Windows 10 isn't all that good (with all the bloat, ads, and spying) like ppl make it sound to be? So why tf would you call it "the best Windows OS"?
If you don't like comments that have different opinion than yours, or can't understand why people keep mentioning a problem that's never solved, you might as well quit internet all together
If only Microsoft had been more careful with updates and released only the most necessary ones (maybe once a year instead twice), W10 would have surpassed W7 in reception and reputation. Some years ago people complained about updates that caused bugs, and was true, but after a time the OS was stable. And this happens now with W11 too. However, in my experience, I had more bugs with W11 in one year than with W10 in seven years.

One thing that people seem to forget is Windows 10 was a slow evolution. Windows 10 in 2015 is extremely different than 2022 versions. If you pay attention, Microsoft eased Windows 10 into the more modern Windows 11 design language (in terms of the icons). The original icons were flat and colorless, where now they are colorful and have a bit of depth.
Also I could not disagree more in terms of Windows 10’s UI consistency. I think that Windows 10’s UI is the most inconsistent jumbled mess Microsoft has ever released. Most obvious example would be Settings app vs Control panel, or heck the lack of dark theme support in the control panel. Also, WHY is game bar literally baked into Windows 10 and Windows Server versions with no way to uninstall??
Anyways, it’s a good OS, but those are my thoughts lol
but this have some bug.. its the cpu are stuck on a low speed.. tweakin the bios and all things to speed up the clock are useless
I really love that taskview , its my favourite so far
I prefer Windows 10, it felt so clean and easy to use, and I tested the security between Windows 10 and Windows 11 edge, and Windows 10 Edge warned me of a malicious website, while Windows 11 let me in. However, both browsers would not let me download the malicious file.
I love Windows 10, and I can't believe it's reaching it's end of support..
They literally have the same browser version, it's not about the Windows version💀
And btw a 2015 os with a pop blue wallpaper is still very modern and classic holding than a 2021 os with nothing but Artificial Imbecile apps and no Windows logo at the wallpaper.
I was sad when I knew that Windows 11 was nothing but a remastered version of Windows 10x and I feel like 11 is a theme rather than an os.
Windows 10 at least was built for the purpose of practicality and although Microsoft ruined it. For me it's by far my favorite os of all time because I didn't have a prolonged experience with XP and 7
The reason windows 10 is still popular is because doing a tweak or setting is not removed when u do windows update which is the reason i also swtiched back to windows 10
I didn't like the Windows 10 StartMenu till Windows 11. It was literally so bad with getting rid of useful features that I started liking Windows 10
I'm still on Windows Vista bro. I might mive to 7 or 8, maybe ten.
I am genuinely curious how is it holding up today. I think Vista UI still looks amazing today but idk how is the PC that’s old enough to have Vista holding up.
If you are struggling with browser compatibility you could maybe check out the Supermium browser. It’s basically an open source fork of Chrome that works on older versions of Windows.
Vista was underrated
@@SurfsharkAcademy it's awesome imo
HELL YEAH! Windows Vista and Server 2008 are the best OSs i have ever used. i daily drive the NT 6.0 systems on a majority of my pcs lol.
@@SurfsharkAcademy agreed
Back in 2016 I though windows 10 was an inferior older version of windows, and windows 7 was the latest. I ofc didn't know it was called windows 10.
All windows versions exept some feel like they cant be replaced but then you wait for a few years for eg windows 7
4:57 YES. him and Xbox one although both of them are based on Linux
2:47 Searching exists. It's 2024, people should already know by now
yeah forget about windows 11, just switch to enterprise ltsc iot whenever the original runs out of support
I downgraded my Windows 11 laptop to Windows 10. It made me feel good.
My laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 with an AMD Ryzen 5 and an RTX 2050.
The update system is FAR from nice. After every update batch you have to restart, then manually check for more updates (despite the system saying you're "up to date"), rinse and repeat MULTIPLE times. And if an update fails or halted in the middle, too often the ENITRE batch has to be re-downloaded and reinstalled.
This behavior is not exclusive to feature/version updates, and it can happen even if you updated recently.
The only thing I hated about 10 is the inconsistency else I would still use it
It might be popular but it just didn't have the same experience of Windows 7...
Win 10 - Well it was kind of dumpster fire for the first 1-2 years, but its gotten useful over the years, the thing was that all of its menus and systems still looking like win 95.
What made it better was the fact that Microsoft and the community made great troubleshooting guides and all sorts of fixes for the system, and due to the lower system requirements it could be done by almost anyone.
Win 11 and is a fine os, if its debloated and does not have any sort of VD installed
I was just going to comment that file explorer tabs are pretty much the only thing Win10 is missing and then you mentioned it. Great minds hey! 😂
Love explorer tabs! Honestly it took them too long to implement this feature
even if its out of support that wont stop me from using it i still use 7 on my laptop
The problem is Windows keeps messing up with the UI. yes, it is prettier now but they throwed the usefulness from the window lol. Everything is hidden under more clicks or even console commands.
Honestly I find Windows 10 to look overall nicer than 11. Windows 11 feels like it’s trying too hard to look more like iOS.
Is surfshark antivirus work on linux ?
I guess I would go with Windows 10 LTSC.
i still use EdgeHTML on my Windows 10 1809
i will have to disagree with the part of "any dual core laptop could run Windows 10" sadly the Pro and Home editions of Windows 10 are inflated with unnecessary tools and software that the normal user probably won't ever use, even Windows 10 LTSC IoT still has a lot of performance issues, Windows 10 itself needs at least 8GB of DDR4 or above to run smoothly as well as a SATA or NvMe SSD, Hard Disks are unusable on the OS.
The best Windows OS was Windows 7, never liked the live tiles in Windows 10
Although I was a bit harsh on Windows 10 at first, I've grown to like it a lot! I still use it on my desktop and the OS itself has not given me much issues. Windows 11 is a pain in the ASS, I just hate how when Windows 10 became extremely good, to the point where we don't really need to upgrade, Windows 11 comes out and destroys everything, at least by year 3 Windows 10 was a lot better, here we are in year in year 3 of 11... and it STILL sucks!
Meanwhile, I'm still out here using Windows 7 (with VxKex)...
7 is the best windows for desktop, windows 8 is best for touch screens windows 10 and 11 tried to be both and failed at them
Best windows is windows 7. Everything that was after are just deteriorated versions of it with bloatware, spyware, ads and limited control over system for user.
Everytime i boot into windows 11 on my laptop, my fans go crazy.
Hello, how are you? Please refer your software engineers to think for the users of countries like Iran 🇮🇷 where the internet is limited and have filtering, for example, to produce a special anti-censorship protocol, be sure if it works in Iran and the users are satisfied. They introduce each other and several million people buy your subscription service because we have to use vpn here
i aslo think that the original Windows 10 sounds from build 10074 are far bether than what came in 1703
I use Edge as my ONLY browser on all my devices. Also, I only use Linux on my computers meaning I have Edge installed in my Linux env. Crucify me.
come on guys... why so much hate for win 11???
Baloney! Windows 7 was leagues ahead of Windows 10, which was only good because it came after 8 and 8.1. Windows 7 was the last windows that was built for the desktop, and not some labored attempt at a one-size-fits-all design philosophy. Windows 10 was tolerable, compared to 8, but it was insufferable in terms of UI, contextual menus and general usability. You needed an extra click to do with contextual menus in 10 what you could do with one less in Windows 7.
Unpopular opinion but I prefer Windows 11 over Windows 10. Time to move on imo.
it was all downhill from there
..I got that every business is trying to "upgrade" to more profitable slices of market with products that gives more and more, but....I'm just now trying w10 aaand: I'm using windows since the 90's and I've noticed that edition after edition thing where slowly going to shit (the best to me was xp), I endured with the 8.1 as long as possible, but now I've tried 10 cause the licences are cheap, and ....wtf is that? a pc that used to run flawlessly high end videogames is now struggling to be decent with w10. I've been debloating, erasing and cleaning the hell out of it to get it to start and run at a reasonable speed, but still I'm struggling with power shell and the dozens of apps to debloat to get it spot on (what a coincidence, never seen so many tools and scripts to decrap an OS). Yeah, after 30 years I guess I'll have to surrender to Linux or whatever else. An advice to the Microsoft's working staff....learn to flip hamburgers cause there's where you're headed, or.....better not, cause then I'll have to call the "thrustedinstaller" to squeeze the ketchup. Sorry for the bad english
this is a surfshark channel but i will NEVER use a antivirus (bloatware) or surfshark vpn. i prefer no antivirus and maybe proton vpn.
I hate Edge, always doing its thing following your every move and stroke... slowing everything down. I treated it like a vicious vampire and cut off its head, rammed a steak in its heart and wrote a little thing to stop it reinstalling itself! I get it about the updates - had a few nightmares at work when Win X decided to update in the middle of me teaching a class!!! Saying that, now we have to endure Windows Module Installer & the Worker, which just runs as and when it pleases, ruining what I'm trying to do on MY laptop! Then we have Smartscreen Defender, which also runs all by itself, even when you have moved heaven and earth to stop it from doing so. It's still better than Windows 11 though, but I do understand that MS is never going to let me do what I want, when I want, and not interfere. Linux has got to be the way forward when I can no longer run my chopped down version of Win X.
Windows 7 is still the GOAT.
Hi there Max Goof!
Lol we do look alike
No, 7
Nah, I rather say Windows XP and 7 were better because they still had a much cooler, charming and iconic design than the last two.
10 was in line with 2015 standards and I still think It’s great
@@armichng I actually like the taskbar animations and colored icons in the settings menu from Windows 11, but if there is one major thing Windows 10 did better than 11 it would be the resizeable start menu. Much better than either having to click to go to the ‘all apps’ section or a full screen start menu nobody asked for from Windows 8.
@@infernal-toad I agree with you for the whole point
i have tiny10
Same ...
Been using Windows 10 since September 2015, and I would say that it is the most complete Windows OS ever. Windows 11 is trash, it removed some functions and introduced unnecessary bloat.
NO! it isn't. its actually pretty bad. if you want a good OS install windows 7, or if you are on a tablet PC, use windows 8.1.
Windows 10 has TONS of bloatware and spyware. Windows 8.1 is not that much better in that case, but windows 7 is pretty good.
And I do NOT have any nostalgia for windows 7 or 8.1, cause in the past 4 years i used windows 10, and before that i didn't have a computer.
They are just better.
The only excuse to not use them is having a non-compatible GPU, but in some cases that is still not a excuse.
also wasn't windows 10 hated before 11?
LIES!!! Windows 7 was the best. I'll die on this hill
10 is best?! You really forgot XP, Vista and 7?!
Vista xD
@@LETTITBITYT Vista was not that bad tbh. Yes the security features were finicky and it was buggy at first, but many of the bugs were fixed, and it wasn’t as bad later on
everyone hated windows 10 when it released. and yeah they forgot how to make a start menu, no one likes the super huge tiles.
❤
not even close. 10 is bloated, full of ads, spyware, slow. 10 is 11 just with 32 bit cpu support. everyone hated it for years but now suddenly likes it and looks at it with rose tinted glasses thinking its the greatest thing ever. nothing will beat 2000, xp, vista, 7.
I don't really agree with this, it's far from the best OS. Windows 10 is honestly terrible. It absolutely chugs a mechanical hard drive making it unusable on low end laptops, it's unstable, unreliable, buggy, full of ads, and is a huge mess. (If you go into the os's legacy features you'll see what I mean) I've been using Windows 10 for over 7 years now (since early 2017) and I've always absolutely disliked it. Every single day the OS would interfere with my daily tasks either by crashing or slowing down. My PC even goes as far as waking me up in the middle of the night to run updates because it's so bad. Windows 7 and XP were by far the best.
no thanks edge I never use edge i use Google Chrome
1 hour 406 views fell off
Win10 is the last best Windows version.
NOT 11 THINGS WRONG...EVERYTHING IS WRONG WITH WINDOWS 11 .. WORST WINDOWS SAME AS WINDOWS 8 .. ONLY XP , 7 AND 10 ARE BEST.. REST OF IS TRASH.
YES, i am using more 5-6 years from this year .
Windows 10 is my secondary operating system.
