My first CD game. I was blown away when I first heard the voices from the intro. Wish I still had my TG16 with CD. This video brought back some memories. Thanks
I loved this game the cheese dialogue was part of the fun. Aside from that though it was a long game for these types of games and it had some mission variety. And a ton of bosses. Plus the flame thrower was a blast to use!
I'm watching your "memory commentary" for this game (AWESOME DVD SERIES btw) and I have to tell you that I had the same unexplainable feeling when I got my Turbografx CD attachment, only I didn't go through the agony of having to get one that worked. I got mine about the time they were released, as you did, but I ended up going with Fighting Street. Man, what a letdown that was! (Though I still played the heck out of it, especially once I figured out the cheats!) Thks for doing these reviews!
This game was one of my first three tgcd games, the other two being Ys Book I and II and Fighting Street. I probably played through the game 20 times back in the day.

@terence1m1 Ha ha. Thanks! I try to do something difference once in a while with the reviews (so they don't get stale). Sometimes they work. Sometimes, they don't. Ha ha. :)
This had to be one of the best games I played as a kid. I remember exactly the day that I finish the game. As a kid I never noticed the bad voice acting and what not, I remember this being the first game that included so many scenematics.
I heard even worse cases in other games released in this dark deformed version of what was SUPPOSED to be the modern age. (Thanks a lot,Jason Griffith!)
I've played this kind of perspective for the first time in Super C and ever since I just loved these type of games. This cheesy one sounds way too awesome.
Hey Spida!!!long time no see! how have things been man? This game was such a huge part of my childhood as well..and i wouldnt of wanted to see anyone else review it...great job once again on theincredile...informative,review!and oh yeah 25 already huh!! well heres to many more\::/
This is a really good one, much better than Final Zone II, which seems to get more attention. I kinda thought Bloody Wolf was a little better though. I remember thinking the voices were funny. I can still hear him talking about Chairman Steve.
Say since you just played through Last Alert for your review, you wouldn't happen to have caught video of the credits would you? Because (speaking of Kojima games) the cut scenes are really reminiscent of Snatcher and I was wondering if it could have been the same artist.
I seem to recall at least once cutscene where they forgot (or just didn't bother) to dub in the English dialogue. I want to say it was near the end and Guy says something in Japanese and then yells 'HERE I COOOOOOOOOOOOME!'.
I can tell you that a 1911 Colt .45 is no pea shooter. I love that these weapons are based off of real weapons...and then they call an AR-15 a spread shot! ;) At any rate, I have never heard anout this game.
I only saw a video of someone doing a full playthrough. Pretty sure one of the taunts was a "I know you are, but what am I?" dialouge. Bring a shut-up-machine joke in there and it's grade school all over. :D
LOL!Last Alert! You know what horrible voices aside it kicked ass back in the day! Strangely I remember finding the blonde to be quite attractive when I was a kid.Awesome Review my friend!
In the mighty words of the ever awesome Chester Cheetah, this game is "DANGEROUSLY CHEESY!!" 8P *shot* xD regardless of said cheese, this actually looks like a good game to try. But I have to wonder, will it ever make the Virtual Console? '_' Well, if it's based on a movie, or anime or something, I doubt it. . . . . but then again . . . we did get Blazing Lasers . . . xP
voice acting like this makes me think that there was a time when voice actors weren't hired for games and they just got jimmy techsupport to do the voices or whoever else on the design team
This game is so cheesy, it should be its own mac and "CHEESE" haha bad puns FTW. oh the game looks fun and hilarious at the same time, i really liked your qoutes in the review too. =)
whew, I have a pretty extensive SEGA CD collection and this is still some of the worst voice acting I've ever heard lol. Looks fun though. It gives me a kind of a Bloody Wolf mixed with Metal Gear II vibe.

Ha ha. Yepper........those are the actual voices. They're SO BAD.......I love it. :)
Thanks for watching!!
Wow, thanks so much! I am definitely going to keep up with them. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching!!
Most definitely! :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. LOL! :)
Thanks for watching!

@cpufightclub Yeah, I like top-down-run-'n-gunners. Good stuff.
Thanks for watching.
You should definitely do far more game play reviews, they are very thorough and of high quality. Absolutely Excellent!
@terence1m1 Ha ha. Thanks! I try to do something difference once in a while with the reviews (so they don't get stale). Sometimes they work. Sometimes, they don't. Ha ha. :)
"He He, I'm gonna destroy youuuuu..."
Sounds like "Brother Love" from the old WWF days.
@shadesofbluee Thanks for watching and I totally agree! :)
2:23 = "Don't ask, don't tell"
This had to be one of the best games I played as a kid. I remember exactly the day that I finish the game. As a kid I never noticed the bad voice acting and what not, I remember this being the first game that included so many scenematics.
@zwallop Ha ha. Totally! :)
Thanks for watching!
Ha ha. I know! I had one person ask me if I "recorded those myself for the video." LOL!
Love it!
Thanks for watching!
I swear the first boss and his hostage are played by the same actor there.
@killchain187 Ha ha. Very true! Thanks for watching!
I heard even worse cases in other games released in this dark deformed version of what was SUPPOSED to be the modern age.
(Thanks a lot,Jason Griffith!)
Literally almost did the cliche spit take when the first boss talked XD
Dude, seriously, your reviews are frickin' awesome! And of course Guy is my hero. How could he not be?!
I loved the cut scenes!!! I mimicked them all the time! My brother and I always made each other laugh 😃
Heck yes!!!! HA HA
lol. True, I can see the reference to STV.
Yes, that is SERIOUSLY the acting. Isn't it nuts? :)
I've played this kind of perspective for the first time in Super C and ever since I just loved these type of games. This cheesy one sounds way too awesome.
Oh god, the voice acting here is Original Resident Evil 1 levels of fun. I love it!
That voice acting is...awesome.

5:13: Oh my god, they captured Barney Gumbell! The absolute monsters!
@loomp How are you able to leave comments but your channel not available? Just wondering?
For sure! MAN I love it! :)
This is a really good one, much better than Final Zone II, which seems to get more attention. I kinda thought Bloody Wolf was a little better though. I remember thinking the voices were funny. I can still hear him talking about Chairman Steve.
It's great. I really love it!
LOL! Nice!
Thanks for watching!

Great review of a great game,even new games still have cheesy voices,and that`s awesome!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another masterpiece! You rock Chirs!
Really? Is that the boss' real voices? Really? I want this game!!!
Thank you for posting.
lol Great review. Not sure why I haven't picked this one up yet. I love Final Zone II, so I'm assured to like this one. :)
Oh man....LA is great. I liked it better than FZII actually. :)
Hey, cool. Thanks a lot. I try my best. :)
My favorite turbo cd game. I was hoping this would be on the turbo mini
@@darthkai8242 for sure, I still can’t believe Legendary Axe was not on it
Definitely. You can hear them throughout here and there.....you know? LOL!
Last Alert looks great. Reminds me a little of Ikari Warriors.
Sweet! Thanks!
I only saw a video of someone doing a full playthrough.

Definitely! The voice acting is horrible!!!!
MAN, I LOVE IT! :)
That's got to be the first time I've ever heard a Colt 1911 .45 referred to as a pea shooter. :)
+Ken Wheeler Ha ha. Right!? I wonder what the bullets look like. :)
Totally. Me too! :)
Wohooo!
@shadesofbluee Totally agree. Thanks!!
Uhh, has anyone noticed that Dr. Garcia is almost a dead ringer for the main villian in Final Zone 2? I think that's the case.
Mmm! Good choice! :)
Wow... medium sounds really threatening... but rare could also be painful...
Heard some horrible voice acting back then but this literally is so abysmal,it brings a smile to my face.
;) Sweet!
very accurate review! thanks!
You're my hero.
Ha ha. Awesome!!

Are those voice samples the actual sounds from the game?
@AltimaNEO Ha ha! So bad isn't it? I love it !:)
Yeppers!
LOL!
Very, very true! Ha ha!
They guy at 4:12 sounds like Zapp Brannigan :D
Why'd you cut out Guy's comebacks? =(
Okay, I'll check it out. Is it any good? :)
voice acting like this makes me think that there was a time when voice actors weren't hired for games and they just got jimmy techsupport to do the voices or whoever else on the design team

Indeed. Ha ha.

You really need to mod your system for RGB the composite out sucks.
@spida1a its certainly paying off for you though.
@JamesmanXtreme Ha ha. :)

@JMaxwell85 Ha ha!!
hee hee :)

Horrid cheesy voices. I can dig it.
Lay down the law sir!~
Wow. That's a shame........ :(
lol... =)
i prefer bloody wolf to this cheese fest...
wtf is that seriously the voice acting!! haha
ridiculus! I like how it resembles Smash TV though...great game!
I'd rather play Super Contra, more game less lip flappin.
Those voice overs... wow.. they ARE bad. Hilariously bad. 8)
