We just had a party for my sister's 33rd birthday, and I made this as a side dish for all our friends. It was a HUGE hit!!! Everyone was bragging about it and kept going back for morw😄 It was quick and easy to make and it was absolutely delicious!! He made a classic roux which is butter and flour as a base and then he added the milk and cream to it and that will definitely start to thicken. Without the butter and flour combined and cooked, the cream and milk will never thicken. Cornstarch? You'll really be able to taste it.....
@earlkeim4713 thanks for the breakdown . And with the seasonings she adds I don't taste it as you would think describing it . I am tough on Mac and cheese and will purposely take someone's glove off to smack the chef on each side of the cheek as I'm done for the day . I take black cards away from soul food restaurants if it isn't right just the same .
@@victoriae9088 cheese in Asia isn't as what it says, super market are selling many so called cheese? hahaha,l am not so sure those milk probably are mixed with too many different ingredients? 😞 I was born in an island with no real lambs or cows,but l live in south England,,haha,l love good cheese, it's not likely to find what we think it's healthy cheese here,, thanks,, yummy but health and safety here's not yet,, it's great to remember how people used to make good cheese, thank you again,, 😺 UK do make many good dairy products, yeah 👍
Wait, where's the Velveeta? How about the insane amounts of butter? Cans of evaporated milk? How can this be mac & cheese without all of those trashy ingredients?

Yeah that smoked Gouda is something serious, I use it all the time for family gatherings, but I never tell my secret😂
