The emotion on their faces is legitimately incredible and proves that this choir genuinely loves the arrangement and being part of a choir. The director is very very good too. He gives great cues and keeps the members engaged.

If you're crying so bad, that you have to sob, you can't really sing. That part of the song just needs a lot of air. She is singing very emotionally, though, if you mean the girl with the red lipstick and the tassel earrings.

The way the sopranos hit the high notes to give ornaments is just, heavenly. And how the tenors and basses deliver the cantus firmus so solidly. God I wish I was there to witness such brilliance.

I was fortunate to hear this performance live. I had goosebumps then and listening to this now, I can’t stop listening to it. You guys were Choir of The World in my eyes.
My nana just passed away a few days ago. We were as close as two people could be I love her with all my heart. This performance already made me cry but now it has a whole new meaning to me. I know she’s at peace and happy now.
This is just so beautiful! Thank you a lot for your unique choir. I wish I could be on the concert, it has to be be a unforgettable experience. Greetings from Germany and Merry Christmas to you all!

Wow, just seeing this for the first time. A close friend of mine has a little brother in Stellenbosch's choir. They just lost their mother to Covid-19, and - strangely enough - my friend's brother experiences one of the most vivid displays of emotion during the performance (which, I now realize, is almost a year to the day the video was uploaded. So very sad.
When I first heard this song by Ed Sheeran, tears were streaming down my face as I remembered my mom gone just a few years. Now here it is in my favorite genre of music. I might just have to put a bug in my choir director's ear for next year.

One of my biggest dreams would be to join the Stellenbosch University Choir. I've been listening to all the recordings I can find and I am in love with the voice of this beautiful choir. I only hope that I can become good enough to audition and get in. Absolutely stunning. This song always makes me cry, but this arrangement gives me a feeling of sadness, peace, elation, and joy, all at once. I can only describe that feeling as a love for music.
My dad died of a massive stroke at age 61 on Sunday, July 16th. I am completely torn apart, and I remembered how much I love this arrangement and performance of Supermarket Flowers, so now I’m back. I’m in so much pain, but Stellenbosch is once again filling my soul.

This arrangement is really hard to sing through not starting to sob. Goosebumps are a sure think here. When we reached measure 14, where the Gb major chord opens up with the bases, the strength of the harmony (and the key) together with the beautiful lyrics took us all by surprise.
