I want to play at Samuel Hayden in Doom Eternal campaign DLC I want to see the backstory here and how he was destroyed as in half his body gone As well as being able to use the Demonic Crucible
The thing I love about Samuel. He isn't a villain. It's not just a perspective thing, he legitimately isn't the bad guy. He started this operation by stealing energy from hell, and turned it into an infinite energy source. And he is right, without that, it would be worse. I mean, the fallout universe tells us what happens to a world running out of oil. Its war. With the destruction of "The well" there is no more infinite energy he can siphon. Unfortunately the well now powers the invasion portal. But the crucible seems to be an infinite energy source, and the object that can destroy the well, so it's a solution to both problems. And let's be honest, Doomguy would have never handed it over, he would just use it as a weapon to rip and tear. Samuel and Doomguy are both Good guys, Doomguy is trying to kill an external threat and Samuel is trying to stop humanity from destroying themselves. This is made even more clear with Eternal's lore on the ARK. Samuel shows up and almost immediately constructs an armada. I think his only 2 failures are: not detecting Olivia sooner, and failing to realize how quickly the Khan Maker would react to the well's destruction.
Yeah but nobody want a game of a robot dude saying the same thing 500 time it's not doom if you are not the doom slayer or with the other soluscion it's a giant and looong flash back
Tbh, whatever happens between 2016 and Eternal probably isn't that interesting. I'd say the entire thing was just "Doomguy gets sent to hell, kills everything again, Finds and old sentinel portal that leads to the fortress of doom, gets it working, goes in and later receives an S.O.S of Earth because of the demon invasion"
“You’ve won, it’s over” “You’ve stopped the invasion and closed the portal…but it’s come at a price” “Argent, Vega, this entire operation..” “See, I’ve watched you work, come to *understand* your motivation.” “You think the only way is to kill them all, leave nothing behind.” “And you *may* be right.” “But we *can’t* just shut it all down..without argent and the key it will all be *worse*” “I don’t expect you to agree..” “But with this, we can continue our work!” “..I’am not the villain in this story..” “I do what I do because there is no choice..” “Our time is up, I *can’t* kill you, but I *won’t* have you standing in our way.” *“Until we see eachother again..”*

At the end of the first mission, Haydens mind returns to his original Maykr body, and him and the Slayer seek out the fathers life orb to eliminate the demins from Urdak. However, The Doom Slayer (For a good reason) betrays Hayden aka Seraphim, and his body starts to become unstable and becomes Samur, the father’s loyal servant. Samur is the final boss of Ancient Gods Part 1.
Doom 2016: "I am not the villian in this story"
Doom Eternal Ancient Gods:
Final Boss: Dr.Samuel Hayden
“Every man who must say 'I am not the villain' is the true villain in this story.“ - Tywin Lannister
“I am not the villain of this story”
No, but you will be a boss fight next game.
Samuel: I can’t kill you
Doom slayer: You couldn’t even if you tried
“I am not the villain in this story. I do what I do because there is no choice” sounds like something a villain would say
I gotta say I love where they have taken the doom story and how they have given us enough pieces through free dlc for the much older games to connect the original trilogy with the newest set of games and they just keep upping the anti and I love it so much
Sammy: *betrays doom guy*
Sammy: *gets ripped in half*
Just here a year later to let everyone know that this guy is voiced by a very kind man in his late 50’s
Hayden betraying and revealing his true nature to the Doom Slayer and stealing the Crucible. 0:19
Samuel: I can’t kill you
Checkpoint: sweats prefusely
Honestly this has to be one of the best ending/cliffhangers in video game history what an amazing remake
Little did we know, Samuel Hayden is the seraphim after all.
Really?
Wasn't the seraphim part of the makyr species?
Gonzalo ET Vega says that Samuel’s suit is similar to Makyr tech.
Theory, it's not confirmed yet
ThefinalLPer It says his tech is similar to the fortress of doom which is maykr and sentinel tech
Samur Makyr
I have no doubts that Samuel is a villan, but I can't help but respect his commitment, dude finds a world full of creatures and and energy beyond any human's understanding and decides he is gonna exoloit it like an oil well
Like a true american
“I can’t kill you”
I like how that can be taken in 2 ways.
The literal way his he really can’t kill him no matter what he does to him
And there is the other way where he know that if he kills him then there won’t be anyone to stop the Demons when they attack again
1:05 ok dr. samuel dirlewanger
I can't watch this now without thinking: "I'm going to shit yourself"
Same
same
Samw
It’s such a shame that they did absolutely nothing with this legendary cliffhanger. Completely ruined Hayden
Agreed :'(
The betrayaer: first time?
0:02 if you listen closely here you can hear sam's opening remarks from the intro of the game "i take full responsibility for the horrible events of the last 24 hours but you must under-".
Hayden might not be the villain in this story. But he will be in another.
When we saw Doomguy's hands shake at 1:35 I thought he was gonna bust outta there and rip Samuel in half.
*returns to Earth to fight demons, but gets almost destroyed only to be saved by Slayer again*
Samuel: The risk I took was calculated, but man am I suck at math.
nice one lol.
hey atleast he told us where the hell priest was
@@davidsplooge14 that was vega, and yes vega is created by hayden, but he is not hayden.
i love it how he did this after he saw all of what you are capable of. this guy has got a death wish
"Im going to shit yourself" - Robot dude that was in my recommendations
Doom Slayer in Doom 2016: "Ok take it, but just so you know if anything goes wrong, I'm not cleaning your shit up"
Doom Slayer in Doom Eternal: *Cleans his shit up*
Doom Slayer
"im going to shit yourself."
- Samuel Gayden
2016
Me: Hayden better hope a demon gets to him before I do
2020
Me: oh I guess I demon did get to you before I did
I loved the bit when samuel hayden said "i am going to shit yourself" and then made doom guy shit
"Alright, then buddy. I'm going to shit yourself."
- Dr. Samuel Hayden
Average people: THIS IS THE SCENE OF BETRAYAL!!!!
Men: "I'm going to sh*t yourself" 💀
“I am not the villain in this story, I do what I do because there is no choice” 🗣🔥
Samuel: 'I'm going to shit yourself'
To the common man, being sent to hell was the worst thing Hayden could do to anyone normal. But to Doomguy, it was paradise.
“Alright then buddy, I’m going to shit yourself1!!1!1!1”
Anyone else watched this after: “IM GOING TO SHIT YOURSELF!”
Samuel Hayden’s voice sounds awesome. Always loved it since I started DOOM 2016
0:43 "alright then buddy"
1:20 "IM GOING TO SHIT YOURSELF"
The fact that the ending was the betrayal what a great way to end a game
Doomguy: So what happened to wielding the sword-
Samuel: *Yes.*
*Doom guy gets betrayed*
Doom Guy: First time?
0:57 me when my toy lightsaber breaks so i can't play lightsaber fights with my friends anymore but i find my older sister has a pink one under her bed
Technically, the Doomguy was spitting in Samuel's face the entire game, why wouldn't he betray him? lol
Hayden also was spitting on doomguy's face, so i guess it's fair.
"I am a bot and this action was peformed automatically" - this guy probably
I want to play at Samuel Hayden in Doom Eternal campaign DLC
I want to see the backstory here and how he was destroyed as in half his body gone
As well as being able to use the Demonic Crucible
That would be fire 🔥
1:21 Alright there buddy. I'm going to shit yourself.
Absolutely agreed. Thats why I hate what they did to Samuel in ascient gods :( he was a great caracter and they turned him into... Well
Thing is he always chooses what benefits him and not the universe as he should
Really wish to know what actually happened after this. Eternal kinda just skips everything
Yeah but nobody want a game of a robot dude saying the same thing 500 time it's not doom if you are not the doom slayer or with the other soluscion it's a giant and looong flash back
@@frog4880 i mean... i would have liked that...
he prolly sent him to the Fortress of Doom
Tbh, whatever happens between 2016 and Eternal probably isn't that interesting. I'd say the entire thing was just "Doomguy gets sent to hell, kills everything again, Finds and old sentinel portal that leads to the fortress of doom, gets it working, goes in and later receives an S.O.S of Earth because of the demon invasion"
“You’ve won, it’s over”
“You’ve stopped the invasion and closed the portal…but it’s come at a price”
“Argent, Vega, this entire operation..”
“See, I’ve watched you work, come to *understand* your motivation.”
“You think the only way is to kill them all, leave nothing behind.”
“And you *may* be right.”
“But we *can’t* just shut it all down..without argent and the key it will all be *worse*”
“I don’t expect you to agree..”
“But with this, we can continue our work!”
“..I’am not the villain in this story..”
“I do what I do because there is no choice..”
“Our time is up, I *can’t* kill you, but I *won’t* have you standing in our way.”
*“Until we see eachother again..”*
Samuel: Until we see each other again
*4 years later*
Slayer: Hello again
Doom guy in Eternal: Hey sam! Remember me?!
Samuel: Now I know we had our differences...but-
Doom guy: *Rips him out* Now fix my ship.
I don't know what it is, but there is something about his monologue that I really enjoy and always come back to from time to time. Sometimes even repeating it with myself. Really ccol!
