I just want to add Rockford Fosgate ended up sending me a replacement amp and it sounds great the clarity and power is surprising with such a small package. I’m using Polk Audio mm651um speakers and will be adding 6x9 Rockford Fosgate on the lids

How long does the amp last now that it works right? Cus my installer fucked me by sayin the hifonics thor he recommended me was good. Well it only last 20 mins before it shuts off cus its hot. I need something thats actually going to last.

Man that sucks....but at least they stood tall and sent you a replacement. All manufactured items can fail, its just how the manufacturers stand behind it, is what counts. I was thinking you were going to say "the old me would of just jammed a wood wedge in the plug hole and fixed it"...lol.
I just did upper faring and lower faring and I will be doing lids next buyers remorse on the lower fairing just because you can’t really hear it over upper faring also bass is not really present
I had the same issue with a different model Rockford Fosgate amp. This one was one of the slider switches causing only one of the channels to work. Slide it left or right for its normal function but if I pushed down on it both channels started working. Lot of hype over Rockford Fosgate but I've seen a lot of trash put out. I don't get it.
I purchased the same amp,it only worked two weekends.The rear channels went out one me.Now i have to take my fairing back off.I also have to wait a week on back order.Must be a bad batch made on a Friday.
So far seen a couple of your videos coming back from Miami, and all very cool stuff, hell of a ride, hats off to you, on that video I agree with you the seat sucks I'm going to go Mustang myself, myself i have the 15 Road Glide Special, still with a stock Harley system I've done tons of research on all the systems that are out there, the best so far that I see, and that I would purchase" is the American made ARC Audio, I believe is 600.4 amps and it's all plug-and-play comes with all harnesses and everything 1040 comes with 2 6. 5 s ,, the amp brackets and all wiring harnesses with the most simplified instructions, ,
Hi I have a road king want to put 2 lid speakers and 2 on a crash bar what you recommend to use amp and speaker. I’m an electrician I can install it just have no clue about Audi what I need to put everything together. Need someone help to figure out what to get. Thank you
Anton G the amp I used comes with all the necessary wires you will need mounts for the speakers on the engine guards I’ve seen people use something that looks like a headlight that the speakers fit into mounted on the bars.
Just curious did you have to reflash your head unit to get good sound from this setup. I see on RF website they say it needs done. Getting ready to upgrade my 18 Street Glide and would like to not use the Harley Boom system.
David Brittingham I didn’t and it sounds great but I can’t control fade front to back and I think the speed volume change feature thingamagig doesn’t work.
David Brittingham boom audio too crazy expensive just the upper and lower fairing with Rockford Fosgate on my 19 road glide had it flashed now I have Apple CarPlay working
I hooked it up to work off the rear channels of the amp to power the front speakers temporarily till the new amp came so at least I had music for the trip

I’m using Polk speakers also with my TriGlide without the Polk grills.Sounds way better then stock.

Fosgate amps 20 years ago were very high quality since than they sold out

Tarkus Piper yes but the replacement I got has been working fine so far I’ve had it on the bike for about 5000 miles always 50to 80% volume

There's no way your radio was not flashed. If it wasn't, did you install a Line Leveler?

The JL audio MX 500x4 mini has plenty of power and fits under the radio.

i just installed on a 2011 ultra limited stock unit very simple. easier if you buy the 150.00 installation kit but i did without.
