Hey thanks for the support that means alot to me. I will have 1 more 1.53 update video coming out where we explore LA and see the differences then I'll be doing more employee testing as well as my normal hauling videos. Thanks for the support and thanks for watching and commenting 😀
9:22 In an interview with the truck manufacturer one big advantage they pointed out is the cameras will work in low to no light due to their built-in night vision which makes them very good for backing up to a dock/loading point at night. They also said they are a lot better when rain and spray is happening so the divers vision does not get obscured by the water. So there 2 ways you can test them and make another video
Ahhh i did not see that interview or think about that. I will definitely have to make a video on that in the near future. Thanks for watching and commenting and sharing some knowledge as well as giving me an idea for another video. I greatly appreciate it
Im thos video i am using the realistic traffic mod. However it has since not been compatible as it needs an update from the creator for the newest game version. I will be making a video very soon for all of my traffic and AI mods sound use. Thanks for watching
I answered that in this video. You have to go into your key settings and set a key to it...then you need to have either a box trailer or container trailer with sliding tandems, then push the button while not moving, set them and that's it
Absolutely, I do have a video of the mods I use about a year ago. However I am in the process of making an updated mod list video now that'll come out in about 2 weeks or so. It'll be broke7pup ibto a few different videos. One for sounds, one for AI related like traffic and such, onemployees for customization and so on. You'll have to watch them when they are up and let me know which mods you are using now because of them. Thanks for watching and commenting
I have noticed a huge difference in the way the trucks handle if your tandems are set wrong. It does depend on the weight though. The heavier the load the more of a difference it makes
Hello, I have a question, what advantages or disadvantages does it have if your axle is further back from the trailer? or is it only like this in California? And if not, where can you look something up because I also drive realistically and have never seen it before or don't know the rules :)
Great question. So it all depends 9n the weight of what you are hauling and if you have your trailer loaded properly or not. If you had to much weight on the drive axels and your trailer axels were too far apart (meaning all the way back) your truck wouldn't be able to stop as easy or handle as easy and can cause damage to the driveline pending how bad it is. Therefore you would need to move your axels more forward to better distribute the weight. With the axels all the way back it can help in loading and Unloading also depending on the company's needs and what's being loaded. Here is what Google says incase I can't explain it enough lol A semi-truck driver needs to move their rear trailer tandems to adjust the weight distribution on the trailer, ensuring that the load is balanced properly across the axles, especially when dealing with unevenly distributed cargo, and to comply with weight limits set by different states and jurisdictions they may be driving through; by sliding the tandems forward or backward, they can transfer weight between the trailer axles and the drive axles of the truck as needed. I hope this helps, thanks for watching and commenting. If you have any other questions feel free to comment here and I will help you out
@Kruzin87 surprisingly I only lost 2 of mine out of the 110 I am running on my main account lol. Not to bad...however one of them was my favorite mod. It was the realistic traffic mod
It would be nice of they included that in the game. However it doesn't, it only gives you your overall weight and it won't tell you if your over weight or not. I wish they told you each axel so you would know if you needed to slide your axels or not. But who knows maybe that will still be to come in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting
You will need to go into steam, right click on American truck simulator, go to properties, go down to betas, click the drop down box that has your curent game version (most likely 1.52) and click the one above it called 1.53 beta then it will update the game and you can jump right into it. Also note that if you use mods some of them may not work with this game version to be sure to check your mods before starting the game. Hope this helps Thanks for watching and commenting
True truck scales will weigh each axle group. Normal max capacity for a set of tandems is 34k lbs. If you have too much weight on the truck, you slide your axles ahead, and vice versa.
That is correct. Unfortunately the game only weighs just the overall truck and then decides if you need to adjust your tandems. would be cool if there was a way to tell how much you needed to adjust them in the game. Thanks for watching and commenting. I hope you enjoyed
Wow I didn't know that. I. Just going off of what I was told since I can't remove the mirrors in game. I'll jave to look into that. Thanks for watching and commenting and supporting the channel
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) approved a petition that will allow motor carriers to operate with certain video camera technology (( in place of rear-view mirrors.)) On February 2, 2024, the FMCSA announced that a petition for a regulation exemption filed by Michigan-based electronics company Stoneridge, Inc. has been renewed, allowing truckers operating with the company’s MirrorEye® Camera Monitor System (CMS) to use that technology in place of rear-view mirrors. In 2019, Stoneridge received a five-year exemption from Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) requiring CMVs be equipped with two rear-vision mirrors. This is a renewal of that exemption that will also be valid for five years.
Yes I sae that as well after recording the video. I still wish you could remove your outside mirrors in game while using the camera system. Thanks for watching and commenting and sharing some knowledge
Awesome video!! Just got my hori truck system getting ready to test the new update out.
Congrats on getting the horri setup those setups are actually sick. I'm excited to see how it works out for you.
Thanks for watching
Awesome video! I’m loving these 1.53 updates

As someone else stated, I do believe you can also slide the tandems on the container trailers as well

Question what traffic mod do you use?

How do you slide the tandems?
I answered that in this video. You have to go into your key settings and set a key to it...then you need to have either a box trailer or container trailer with sliding tandems, then push the button while not moving, set them and that's it
Can you go through what mods you use?

Container Trailers also have Slidable tandem options as well, not just the van trailers.
Thanks for the comment, I didn't know that was included as well.
Thanks for watching

I agree, I have noticed that myself as well.
Thanks for watching
How do you get off the truck and install the trailer cables? Is this a mod or is it part of the new update?
Unfortunately it was just some careful editing and role playing on my part. I wish there was a mod that allowed it. Thanks for watching and commenting

I was the victim of the wrong tandem position fine as well heading into cali from Arizona on the I-10 right at the border
Oh no that's terrible. Sorry to hear that. Was the fine really bad?
The new update is out?
yuh
I believe it's in open beta so not fully out. However my game just updated again last night, so it maybe out completely
@@redbelliedgaming yea I think it's out from what I've seen on TH-cam I'm wondering what mods are gonna need to be updated again now
@Kruzin87 surprisingly I only lost 2 of mine out of the 110 I am running on my main account lol. Not to bad...however one of them was my favorite mod. It was the realistic traffic mod
@@redbelliedgaming oh really what was the other?
The Cat scale should also give you per axle weight, at least the ones I have driven across in Real Life
It would be nice of they included that in the game. However it doesn't, it only gives you your overall weight and it won't tell you if your over weight or not. we need to be able to not lock it properly and rip our tandems off the first time we hit the brakes on the highway.
your wrong cause schnieder has trucks that do not have physical mirrors but do have the camera mirrors
Wow I didn't know that. I. Just going off of what I was told since I can't remove the mirrors in game. I'll jave to look into that.
