I just went and watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame again for the first time in several years. Well worth watching. Who doesn't shiver when you see the flames in Geoff's eyes?
They did an exceptional job on this. They did such a good job expressing the dichotomy that is Frollo. In the beginning where the more choral parts are, the background segues into sounding in like the church bells are ringing. J, Eli and Cesar cover most of the lines about how much he desires Esmeralda and makes excuses for himself. It gives such a contrast when Geoff becomes the evil that Frollo is. It kind of accentuates the struggle that he’s going through. This gave me the shivers when I watched it on the early Patreon release. Now, with the CGI fire in his eyes (added after the Patreon release) I have chills on top of my shivers.
Great reaction, thanks for another one! I did have to chuckle when you couldn't remember the name. I was sitting here telling you over and over to just keep watching!! LOL
One of the many things I love about VoicePlay is that if they think they can't bring anything new and exciting to a cover, they won't do it. They absolutely killed this! I'm gonna go watch your reaction to Geoff's new one now. ❤
Great reaction guys!! This was just so damned good!! When I watched it the first time, I thought it was Geoff that said "Burn It", but no, that was Layne. And It was cool that Tony got to participate as the guard. Completely Blown away by how epic this cover was!! It has been a long long time since I have seen Hunchback of Notre Dame. And Did you see Cesar briefly playing the air guitar?? lol
Geoff really didn't want to play the role of Frollo. It was too evil for him but Layne made him do it. Geoff said his favorite role to play in the villain. I think deep down this was just too much for him.

This song is So Evil, I think Frollo is Disney's most evil villian. But damn they make evil look and sound so Good!
VoicePlay was released on Friday HELLFIRE, and Geoff was released on Saturday JACKS LAMENT.

Heavens, I love this. Wicked evil man was inhabiting our Geoff's body and voice.
