i think you misunderstood the meaning of "punk goes pop" then. Its supposed to be punk ie heavier than whatever this shit is. I love luke Holland And i have nothing agains tyler but damn this is boring.
Not all the time, think about all the other Punk Goes albums, like how All Time Low's cover of Umbrella from Punk Goes Crunk, they weren't heavy, as well as Escape The Fate's cover of Smooth from Punk Goes Pop 2! Every Punk Goes album will always a have a mix or heavy and light as well.
I just don't like covers like this where it's basically the exact same thing. Like Johnny Craig's cover of paradise on the last one. It sounded like the exact same song pretty much.

I would give Falling In Reverse more credit for their cover of Gangsta's Paradise in the previous "Punk Goes" album. Don't kill me yet, hear me out. Tyler Carter's voice in this cover was point (as usual), and Luke Holland gave a strong performance also BUT, to me it lacked imagination and originality. It was just the same song performed for the most part the same way. I expected more from these two, even if it wasn't "heavier" it should have been a bit more original for a cover, as ambiguous as that sounds

I saw Paramore at Warped Tour one year and they have a good live show. I'm wasn't saying that Paramore sucks as a band, I only meant exactly what I said: if she left, the band would be done.
A good example of a band that replaced their singer and still remained relevant at least in my opinion. Is Jaimie's elsewhere and of mice and men. Ironically of mice and men picked up Jaimie's else where's singer that they dropped. But yea I agree, paramore would end if Hayley left.

For me paramore sounds still pop punk. the only song that sounds pop is "still into you" now bands like 5 Seconds of Summer even called pop punk and I think paramore still fits better between bands like New found glory and blink 182. But I think everyone has a diffrent definition of pop and pop punk. For me pop artists are artist everyone knows over almost the whole world and know one song because it repeats 1000 times on the radio. In my country not a lot of people even know paramore, I never heard it on the radio, so thank you internet :p . I did think the band did a good job I was just surprised that some people say paramore is a pop band :p
Hayley yells a lot unless you mean like grunting :p For me paramore just meant a lot for me in my life and I feel they put a lot of work in there songs so that's why I probably don't want to see them as pop (not that anything is wrong with all pop artists like lorde, florence and the machine, lana del rey) but stereotypical pop from now. I miss the All We Know is Falling- Riot days. Everyone changes so I guess I'll just learn to accept it. As a final nod of respect and expression of sorrow, no band will ever be Paramore in their early days. People try to compare them to other bands but they were so unique, honestly. It's because they made their music with raw honesty. They're still honest, but like I said I miss their original genre of music. All We Know is Falling was solid and will always be my favorite album.

To be honest, all you people complaining about this cover being "not hardcore enough" or "more pop than the original", you obviously need to rethink. Issues itself is a hardcore band, but Tyler Carter gives it a unique sound of that pop kind of voice. He is very much still qualified as "punk". Also, i don't hear you guys complaining about the Mayday Parade covers not being hard enough, so why is this getting ripped on? This is actually one of my favorite Punk Goes Pop covers. Solid cover. I am surprised that Paramore are being considered pop and all given the rest of their work and all but what i have heard from this "pop goes punk goes pop" album sounds quite solid for the most part!
I personally think it started when Hayley did work with the rapper B.o.B. which (speculated) gave her an ego boost and turned off the Farro brothers (founding members) because of Paramore not being equally seen as a band by the new audience, but as Hayley Williams only. It's just what I've seen about other people talking about the "new" Paramore.
I still like them, but it's obviously never going to be the same without the Farro brothers giving Paramore more of that "edge."

Everyone who thinks this is a bad cover is clearly dumb. It's an amazing cover. I get that it's not heavy enough for some of you. But if you like either of the bands these two are from then you should still appreciate the song. Personally I think it's one of the greatest covers to ever be on a punk goes album at all.
I was amazingly impressed by this cover. I don't like Tyler Carter usually and don't like the original version (RIP old Paramore), but this is really good. This, Drunk in Love, and Sweater Weather were my favorites off PGP6.
