Please feel free to comment and offer any advice or criticism for whatever nonsense you see me performing here...im no mechanic..but im learning...and having fun...After all, ITS JUST A TRUCK :)
This is just PART 1 - that means this is a 2 EPISODE week so stay tuned for a CRAZY part 2 in a couple days!!!

You bet buddy all for the tube! I’m gonna make it big some day 😎🙌🏻 thanks for watching
Sorry I'm late. Wow that's a lot of stuff you have to do to replace the tumbler. On the starliner is just push a pin in a hole. Can't wait for part 2
Yeah they really buried it down in there haha oh well it’s done now
@@okspeedshop yah 😂. At least no cut wires lol
I would try checking the timing. Great looking truck btw. Good luck!
Thanks man!!
Hey your learning just keep going strong you'll figure it out start reading Haynes manuals on cars and trucks it will help you out more than you think
Interesting! Never heard of it I’ll look into those. Thanks!
@@okspeedshopthere just repair manuals on cars that's how I learned to build cars
You need to get you a set of breaker bars set it would be much easier to work on big red
Not a bad idea! I’m slowly accumulating some tools
Hey there Brother, i Luv to see young men working on these oL projects. I think the people trying to tell you to just put oil in that engine either don’t know what they’re talking about or they hate you. You already proved to yourself that that engine was no good when you pulled the drain plug out and it was full of crap. Go with your gut you were doing the right thing by pulling that engine. Sometimes you just need to abort mission… You were right from the beginning. I love that there’s people Probably sitting there screaming at their TVs that you’re doing it wrong but that’s how you learn young man. Trial and error! Keep up the fantastic work young man you’ll get this in no time.
😂😂😂 thanks man I appreciate the support!! I’m having fun learning and reading everyone’s comments. That’s all part of the fun for me. Thanks for tuning in! Please keep showing up!! Got another episode coming out this week that oughta get everyone riled up pretty good haha
Can’t wait for part two!
Hopefully will be ready in 2-3 days!
@@okspeedshop perfect
That's why you always keep use motor oil and put it in something and then if it runs you can always take it out
Good idea!!
Howdy
Welcome!
@@okspeedshop good video Matt
@@WhiskeyDents thanks part 2 will be better but had to get this out of the way haha
dude you are a content machine. i am so glad i subbed!
the smoking battery is soooo relatable 😂😂😂
This makes my day dude thank you so much. I’m learning how to do this TH-cam thing and trying to feed the beast! 😆 this comment helps! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I appreciate you
@@mikemech6236 😂😂😂 I try to just stop shy of a fire haha
I like your hat! You are learning so much! You will figure it all out eventually!
Thanks mom 😄🤟🏻
I'm excited for this project since my first truck was a 1977 red Custom Deluxe C10 longbed and your truck also reminds me of Keifer Sutherland's truck in "The Cowboy Way" (might be a little before your time, hah!)
You’re actually the second one to tell me that!! I looked it up and couldn’t believe the similarities! I need to watch it now
Howdy! Now you will be able to fix the blinker on mossy
Yep I got the part for it too haha
Look man you seem like a great dude, probably a veteran. If you listen to the people in the comments they are going to have you all mess up. These people people probably TH-cam a video and the tell you how to do things base off of that. If you are making a video on a topic for the day, I would recommend YouTubing the steps you are going for the video before hand to help yourself. I know your channel will be successful. Love the C10 comment. By the way first step in every revival is to put a bar on the crankshaft or bar the flywheel to make sure the engine rotates. That will dictate what your next side is . Good luck
Thank you I appreciate this! Yes I’m learning there’s 1000 different ways to go about something. I’m trying to take in as much as I can and make my decision based off of what I learn here. I’m definitely grateful for all the input!
Actually many people on here do know what they are talking about about.
@@1776_Garage definitely some very knowledgeable folks. Most are more knowledgeable than me 😂
@@okspeedshop I wasn't trying to start a fight. Just trying to correct him. You gotta learn somehow.
@@1776_Garage I knew what both of yall meant. I think he meant im going to get advice that points me in 10 different directions and you were arguing that a lot of the guys in here are pretty sharp. I think both statements are true.
New battery, and new cables positive/ negative, check the flywheel, high torque starter. I have a 81 with a 305, they're not as bad as everyone says
Man this one has holes in both sides of the oil pan like it broke a crank or something.
It’s easier to leave trans in but it’s gonna be a fight getting torque converter bolts out
Fortunately I got a motor with a trans attached!
Leave it on take the rad out
Perfect thanks!
You need go to harbor freight and lease get there power tools they have more power then hyper tough. It makes life easyer buddy
Yes I think I do 😂😂 these suck
@@okspeedshop yea don't need anything expensive I'm part mechanic and metal houses builder. I use Hercules for my mechanic work and kobalt for my building metal buildings. They do just fine
@@LukeSkinner-on4mb awesome I’ll take a look at those thanks for the info!
Alright, alright, allllllright!!!!
😜😜😜 knew this was coming
Just in case i would never start the truck standing in front of it. Many people get shot with "unloaded guns"
Ah I see what you mean! Good advice thanks man
Look like fuel pump filter
How's your pet snake doing? Lol
Well….hes with the lord now 😂😂
@@okspeedshop I don't think animals go to heaven! Lol
@@1776_Garage true…snakes for sure don’t 😂
@@1776_GarageEspecially that one lol 😂
That's not a 305 it's a 350 you can tell by the starter
Hmm interesting. What’s difference in the starter? I thought they would be the same.
Either way it’s trashed.
@@okspeedshopthe starter isn’t a good way to tell. There should be numbers on the back of the block. Driver side above trans. And then there also may be some on passenger side front behind alternator. Those numbers will tell you what it is. But the bigger starter is usually on 350’s, not 305’s, but someone couldve swapped it at some point.
@@W.A.R.R. ok I’ll look just for the sake of knowing! Curious what does W A R R stand for?
Motor is yrash man pull it out
Yep you’re right! About to drop a new one in this week. Stay tuned!!
