2 weeks ago I spent time outside hanging laundry and had a sore throat for 3 days. The wind was blowing hard too. I think some of that blew to Colorado. I've been staying in the house and I'm ok now.

To give an example, you can easily find that Texas A&M gets funding from the oil industry. How connected is the oil industey to NS? I'm just an observer but it's not a big leap to see how those dots might connect. On the other hand, Purdue gets roughly about 75% of it's funding from the National Science Foundation, the NIH and the Dept. of Defense. Where does that path lead, or come from? What about the other 25%? Hopefully not right back to the oil industry. You can see the difference in the feedback you are getting. How are any of these entities testing? Are they being thorough to look for all possible contaminants? If people are still getting sick that should tell everybody something - No - the water, air and don't forget the soil are not pristine, or anywhere close. I worked at an independent environmental testing lab before and met many people who worked at other labs…I’ll say this, these private labs are extremely shady with regards to what they find and report. It’s actually more likely the government testing labs are more accurate with what they report. However, I totally understand the distrust, so with that said, it would put more pressure on the authorities and Norfolk Southern to do more for people if you bring in international expertise to do the testing.

The people of that community are wise to demand more independent testing than the government or railroad is offering as proof of the "safety" of their environment. Those "official" toxicity tests thresholds are set at levels far above the concentrations necessary to hurt human life, or, they don't test for some toxins at all (even though they could be present). Just like the railroad, setting the thresholds for heat sensors on the rail car axles so high that the fire burned under the car for at least 10 miles before engineers got an alarm.......but by then their efforts to safely stop the train were too little/too late. 💔🙏🙏

there is chlorine in our water i notice when i used to take hot showers not hot hot i would develop a rash on my neck and itch all over now i only take warm & cool showers alternating between the two ending with cool and I'm fine. Hot water intensifies the chlorine.
