"Health halo" "real food doesn't need health labels...." powerful information 💯
Have they addressed Huel in the main podcast? That is ridiculously ultra-processed. And many adverts I see for it on TH-cam are encouraging young people to drink it instead of putting the small effort in to learn to cater proper food for themselves.
They're no longer foods, they're products, substances. Hence the addiction.
Both of you are truth heroes of your day!! ❤ Thank you for all that you are doing!
So interesting and informative. Thanks
Just because something is edible that doesn’t make it a food.
What makes me nervous are the amount of toxic pesticides on fruits and vegetables.
Don't know how someone so seemingly self aware can keep shilling for Huel when he knows its the epitome of ultraprocessed food. Great podcast besides.
My daughter is autistic and will only eat mostly ultra processed foods. It worries me a lot but its either that or not eat at all. I make one non processed proper meal a day but it doesnt feel like enough.
A kg bag of frozen potato product €0.95. A kg of fresh potato €1.45. A box of frozen burgers €2.95. A packet of fresh mince €4.00. It is cheaper to buy frozen; them fresh.
I eat way too much Aspartame in my coffee. I just went and threw out all my packets and the juice powder. It's a great sweetner and up until recently was supposed to be fine. But any time you eat some crap made in a lab, it's probably messing up your body.
Unfortunately, our fruits are GMO and made to be bigger and sweeter. I do not consider most fruits a healthy snack anymore. I stick to organic berries and bananas from my parent's tree.
This seems reasonable, but we still need serious studies to test his hypothesis.
We need to teach young people "FOOD IS NUTRITION IT'S NOT ENTERTAINMENT".

I don't snack, do you snack?
What about whey protein ??
I stay away from carbs, boxed, or canned food. I'm 40 and people think I am in my 20s all the time.
