I don't always agree with Richard Brody but his analysis is always intelligent and insightful. As a film critic he would be much more appreciated in Europe. Especially France.

All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt was my favorite film of the year. And Earth Mama and Passages are both in my top 10. Earth Mama is way up there for me. Savanah Leaf is a director to watch.

Ferrari was laughable. It's beyond me how a seasoned film critic could ever think this was worthy of recommendation, let alone a contender for a top award. I've seen Dolmio adverts with more convincing Italian characters!
