An old party standby!! Our family just put one jar of Welch's grape jelly and one bottle of chili sauce.. we season the meat with salt and pepper only..
That looks really nice! One of my favourite combinations for sauces is mixing Sweet Baby Ray’s honey bbq sauce with Franks Red Hot Buffalo Wing sauce in about the same proportions as your recipe. We don’t have grape jam in the U.K., but we do have black currant, which tastes similar, although we tend to use red currant jelly in cooking sauces. I will try this with meatballs or mini cocktail sausages next time for a party, thanks for the idea! Happy New Year!
These meatballs have been around for over 50 years. We grew up eating them at parties, graduations, religious events, picnics and just as snacks. Every family I know did the same up here in great lakes area. They are really good so when we made them we made a huge amount of them.

Why would anyone buy store bought meatballs and spoil the homemade sauce.
Maybe they like them more. Maybe convenience. Maybe that is the best thing to use with this particular recipe. It could be a lot of reasons.
