This is quality. Thank you all and RIP DJ Randall and all our other junglist soldeirs that have passed on.
Well said!
I do feel blessed growing up in the late 90s that people would go out more and talk to each other and there was no ego or judgement. The internet in some respects makes life so much more difficult to navigate and people are just lonelier than ever and there are so many mental health problems and the world is a much more fearful place because of what gets spread on there. Hearing these people talk today makes me feel good in that we can still choose to do that and not have to conform to feeling like we need to be popular online. And that at whatever age it's never too late to turn things around and make a better life for yourself. 😊
AM Soooo Happy you feel the way you do post the podcast. Its so rewarding knowing that people listen and take something away to help them even in the smallest way.
🧠✨ How many of us really talk about mental health as artists? It’s not always glamorous, but it’s so important for our growth and longevity in the booth. 🎶 Being in this industry is a beautiful journey, but the ups and downs can take a toll. That's why these conversations matter. 🙏
I was proud and honored to be part of a panel with these LEGENDS discussing addiction, overcoming challenges, and how we manage both our mental and physical well-being while pursuing our passions. 🌟
Longevity in this game means more than just talent - it's about staying strong, finding balance, and always evolving. 🔥💪
I hope to do even more work like this for our scene because we ALL need to support each other as we navigate this wild ride. 🌍💫 Let’s keep the conversation going and lift each other up. 🙌❤
Luv&Bass DJ Rap 🎧 #MentalHealthMatters #Longevity #MusicLife #ArtistJourney
So much love respect and thanks to the pioneers on the panel. Couldn't help but keep thinking RANDALL ❤❤❤
Big up
In my early 50’s.
I was in that field too.
Thought I was indestructible- found out that hard way that I’m not.
Stopped everything I was doing that I shouldn’t.
Really touched by all that was said.
A lot of identification.
Fantastic event
Thanks
We were all young and a part of something very special doing our best to enjoy life at the time. Hope you’re able to look back fondly knowing that 🙏🏾👊🏾💯
@@LondonSomething1994 for sure day doesn’t go by when I don’t remember the good times (don’t you want some more?) 😂😉👍
As a JUNGLIST/DRUM & BASS OLDSKOL RAVER/FAN This was EPIC! THANK YOU! RIP RANDALL The only Dj for me that played 3 records and made it sound like one.
🙏🏾❤️👑
The woman who said that you need a plan as everybody is getting old, is spot on. Not everyone can be David Rodigan. There's a sell-by date for every performer. I'd love to see more of these events.
WE look forward to hosting many more in support of those who can be helped by them.
Give thanks. A blessing to watch. Love to all that attended and to everyone that spoke. Foundation respect to you DJ Ron ☮️
Thanks for the support, for reaching out and commenting and for being a part of this movement.
Just watching this back again after attending in person, and what a fantastic conversation!
Big respect to all involved for taking time out of their busy schedules to talk about this very relevant topic that is often overlooked in our scene.
Artist wellbeing is key if you want to take this music game seriously, no matter what stage of your career you're at.
Some truly wonderful words spoken here. I’m 44, I don’t rave much at all these days. I eat better, I go to yoga, I swim, I ride 100-150 miles a week. Physically I feel better than I ever did. I still love the music though.
Yoo, thanks for answering my question at 53:54
I appreciate all the wisdom, vulnerabilty and honesty everyone on the panel shared today. It was truly inspiring to hear and be there in person. Thanks again
I find it interesting , that the early days and still do this day Dj’s we’re mashed up and raving as well. Now people like yourself Ron are living clean, exercising and doing yoga, that’s the key to longevity, as at our age we’d be dead if we kept living that lifestyle
Speaking for myself, the lifestyle I led contributed to considerable wear and tear to my body and mind. I find starting out with some balance first is a good start.
Totally get it and yes at 47 iv slowed down and instead of all night raving im now all day mtbing but let’s not pretend there isn’t a 24hour session waiting to come out at any given moment usually bought on by listening to some late 90s Mickey Finn and fearless 😂
Thanks, Ron and everyone for highlighting mental health in the scene, it's been a struggle for me for a while now.
Excellent.
There will be many more talks to come and hope you're able to attend online or in person as would be good to know that anything discussed helps in any way. God Bless bro 👊🏾
Chris Goss… how surprising but good to see especially after the fact! Big up to all the fallen DJs who have built the thing! Bless up
Yes big love to the many no longer with us 🙏🏾
Yessss, love these and all you put out on this channel
Thank you, more to come!
Big respect, legends sharing some inspiring and positive words and advice
I appreciate that
Great discussion. ❤
Big up Marcus
Thankyou for this ❤
Just watched this chilling round the pool on holiday now I’m listening to Ray Kieth b2b Andy c @ pure x 95 😂
Love that
This one was absolutely brilliant and can relate to a lot of this. Listening to you guys, which are legends to me inspire me. It's true I starting being involved in music from around 11yrs old and at nearly 44 I still have mix at home in my safe place headphones on music playing I can switch off and belive everything is possible. Thanks Ron
Will try and make the next one
That’s great to hear! To know at any time via a home mix, a listen of an old set or catching up with friends can bring joy is testament to the magic of music in general ❤️🎼
Thanks for this Ron, some great topics covered. Big respect to everyone that attended on and off the stage. Looking forward to the next one 👊👍🙏🏻
INCREDIBLE lineup. 👏
Glad you think so!
@@LondonSomething1994 for 30+ years ❤️
Spoke to you in Wolverhampton after jungle gathering.... first time back at a rave for 25 years. Loved it and can't believe I'd left it so long. You and brockie were a pleasure to talk to. You all look so well. Big up
Hey man was lovely to speak with you too. I still feel that music, dancing and being around likeminded people have a seriously beneficial impact on our well being evening into what some might say "you're past all that now" but again balance is the key
@LondonSomething1994 top man and that b2b set with brockie was fire. Hopefully speak to you again at a future event
No one ever talks about my brother in arms 🙏❤️
DJ taktix Andy💯❤️🙏😎
But I get that been around you all for nearly 30 years and it's a hard life to be in 👊💯🙏😎
And I'm a raver. Oj jungalist d&b head 15 rave.

Music is my life ❤️🙏👊😎blessedbe and thank you ❤️
Thanks for this Ron, some great topics covered. Good to have this insight from all those on the panel. Big respect to everyone that attended on and off the stage. Looking forward to the next one 👊👍🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it as we look forward to more group discussions. Thanks for your support 👊🏾
Technology can be a wonderful thing, but having grown up in the 70's & 80's without a lot of what we have now-a-days...The technology seems to make life harder in some aspects!
Technology designed to make communication easier, are actually making communication more difficult for many. Non verbal communication seem to myself so cold, and distant...People aren't developing the proper communication skills, and this has a major affect on the mental status of many.
The above marvels on the panel, are just some of the brilliant DJ that allowed us as the youth of the nation to find our own havens of acceptance, and safety. I for one was so fed up with trying to go out for a great night of music, and social interaction...BUT, having to spend the whole night watching my own back, due to pissed up idiots, just wanting to start fights because I'm a big fella. I mean who needs that shit, when you're just trying to have fun? Then I found the dance music movement, and ALL of it's wonderful delights. The people, the music, the venues, and of course the brilliant DJs, DJs with no need to be seen, just the need to be appreciated for their choice of music, and skills in the mix!!!
Truly, without the rave scene of the 90's, that I've been in love with for the last 35 years, I honestly don't think I'd still be here! The scene helped so much, with my nerdy self growing up listening to what many considered weird electric music!
Big thanks out to ALL the brilliant DJs that I'm sure saved so many lives --- THANK YOU!!!
PEACE, LOVE & HARMONY...ONE NATION DANCE TOGETHER!!!😜🤪😜🤪
Nice on Ron big up the original junlists
Much love for putting this on. Insight, positivity and community. Big up from a 46 year old junglist. Peace
Ron this was excellent.
Can you please get Photek in for an interview though 🙏
👏👏🏿👏👏🏿
He’s defo on the list of those I’d like to speak with. 👊🏾
Charlie Dark from the Bugz in the Attic!!!
27:27 Very touching ❤
booker t. respect
🙏
I'm only in the first 20 minutes though!
❤
I'm 49 and I have only been spinning tunes for a couple of years I'm bang in to my breaks but there isn't much love for the tunes but I would love to be out there on the scene ,but have to do my landscaping career
The musicians on this stage will always sit in the god league..if it wasnt for them and a few that aren't here the youth of today wouldn't have what they have.
Thank you for the kind words. While it’s true that the Jungle scene pioneered much of what we see in independent electronic music culture, I take my hat off to those who took what they saw and continued to develop this global phenomenon. 🎁💯
I love all of your content ❤ how can i get into these rooms for furture discussions and chats
Was this broadcast live?
Yes it was, I just caught the end of it this afternoon.
Respect ❤
Is there a way that Dj RAP can make the YUKA APP available in Thailand or other countries please 🙏
Big up to all Junglists 👊🏾
Didn't you already upload this one?
No the one we did before was a while back about ‘Dubplate Culture’.
54:13 - why is he wearing a balaclava lol
SS partner/ agent comes across genuine ..which is strange for agents nowadays lol
I think the industry found her through Leroy rather than her being an agent trying to get into the industry for the gains you can tell all these legends on that stage did it for the love of the scene and the music just as we the ravers did ❤
@@DamianThurley good days… good people x
