We Went on the Gambler 500. It did not go well.

- The XC500R hits the trails on the Golden State Gambler 500. It's a great time (as always), and we get in some amazing views, meet some awesome people, and have snow ball fights. The trinity of excellent adventures.
But nothing comes without a few set backs, and we unintentionally because the first Volvo wagon with 3 wheels...

It’s always fun to break things that you wouldn’t want to scrap anyways. Now you can pull off the no bumper look and do some wild stuff with the fenders without feeling bad about ruining them.
This guy gets it. We have big plans for all of the mentioned car parts in the future. It's an amazing feeling to have a car that you have minimal mechanical sympathy. It's so freeing! Thanks for watching!!

So my suggestion is when you put bolts through a suspension like that you oversize the holes and use hardened steel pins with a heavy gauge cir-clip to retain it. You all might want to do like I have and invest in a small lathe.

How do you run that on the streets? Do you guys not have inspections like florida dosent..? Here in PA. the man would end your fun perrty quickly. Awesome content.... Keep the madness alive 😜
California definitely has inspections, and we are keeping the car as legal as possible. I might need to adjust the fenders now tho...

As much i love this build a STOCK XC70 would have been able to go the same places without breaking.
The stock XC70 wouldn't have been able to do the majority of the driving that got us that far. Plus, what's the fun in wheeling a bone stock car? Thanks for watching!

If you something cheap that will handle that... The Mercedes ml430 s are pretty solid. An ml55 amg with 6 inches of lift.... Hahah
Yeah, it's been done, and doesn't even need a ton of work to make a capable off roader. We wanted to do something different that hasn't been done before, hence the XC500R :) Thanks for watching!

Ha, thanks bud! Portland is a far drive, and is definitely in the cards for a future Gambler. This year I am trying to get to the OG, the Golden State at Yosemite, and possibly a SoCal Gambler. If you're at the OG, come and say hi!

The engine belts are fine. I don't know how to fix anything else with zip ties. Does not compute.
Is there a reason why you just could not have used the Volvo as Sweden had designed the vehicle ? It looked all impressive as you built it . -Back to the drawing board ! LOL
