Interesting about your instructions. I bought the single pens, 1 to a package. My directions said to lightly color whole area with med. tone, and then shade with the darker and the lighter, and then go over the whole picture or area with a light touch of the medium.
I just ordered the first 24 set of tri blend. I heard the formula and colors are different! So I'm glad I ordered! I'm excited for actual correct colors! I have all the regular spectrum noir markers...
Hi Jen and Steve I have the full set of the old spectrum noir markers and have notice some of the colours have changed, I have also had them for 3 years. I also have a few of the spectrum noir illustrator markers and have found that they do not have as much ink as the old markers and the brush tip are not designed for long term use, I have had the illustrator markers for about 2 years and had not used them a lot before I noticed the brush tip becoming soft and the marker running out, unlike the old markers. Love watching you videos and looking forward to seeing what you get up to
melissa Verrill the illustrator nibs have been changed and all the markers now have the same ink as the Triblends. Huge improvements have been made to the whole SN line, I highly recommend anyone to try them
I like the sparkle pens.. There is also Wink of Stella that are similar.. Tonic also has a sparkle pen version.. It’s used in card making a lot too.. The Illustrator small packs are sold at Michael’s..
I didn't even know there were Tri-Blends from Spectrum Noir. I tend to live under a rock. lol Didn't know there were so many different ones. I would love to have the brush nib ones. Their sparkle pens are similar to the Wink of Stella shimmer pen. Aye to Sparkle September! I know a lot of people don't like SN's, but I love mine. Of course I have never used a Copic before, so can't compare to them. I know they are the best of alcohol markers. Maybe one day....Love seeing you color the butterflies, these look fun to play with. Sorry little late on my viewing. I'm out of state. I love love love my sparkles If memory serves me there are 60 or so colors. Was very hard to find all of them. EBay, Hsn amazon. Not sure. Will let you know when I get back to my state.
The sparkle on the glitter pens is great but they leak like crazy no matter how I store them. I find a new one has leaked almost everytime I go to use them and it takes forever to clean the ink off of the other pens around them.
YES!!! you want to buy the sparkle..the clear one is the one you so have to get, Amazon has them in as far as i can tell you can not get them just single the smallest is a 3 pack for about $14. I love them!
@@ColoringBliss It looks beautiful. I dont do heavy it feels like my face cant breath lol. you are beautiful and would be so if you just wanted to wear a lighter makeup . Then you would probably feel naked in front of the camera. I love your fur baby as well. I have cats and dogs. have a wonderful week.
I am not a fan of the Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers, the brush ends break down immediately, I have started to buy Copics to replace SNi markers and have been tossing out the dry ones. Also they are not very juicy, I found the sparkle markers to leak large amounts on to my coloring pages, I bought both of these pens when Michaels was selling them.
I wish I would have caught your event live. I wanted to tell you how disappointed I am with these Triblend markers! When I 1st saw them, I thought they were so awesome! I bought some, then bought some more. My favorite was the pale skin combo. Until used it a few times & the light ink ran out, followed by the middle colors & some more colors. You're right, of course, there isn't enough ink in them & the tip is too small to cover large spaces. I bought a set of Spectrum Noir markers that said pastels because it was supposed to contain some of the pale flesh colors. They are not the same, they aren't even pastel & they are dry. What a disaster!! Also, I got a set of Studio 71 alcohol markers & the pale blue & cocoa are done already. The Michaels Artist Loft brand 48 set is exactly the same colors except the barrels are grey. I got 1 of their pale blue markers & it ran out faster than the Studio 71 marker. It's not like I was coloring pages & pages of blue skies or anything. Blue is not even my favorite color!! So, just in my opinion, if anyone asked me to recommend markers, I would tell them to stay away from Spectrum Noir, Studio 71 & Artist's Loft. I do like the Ohuhu brush tip markers but not the color selection. Mostly, they are all too dark & bold
Oh it’s so hard to find the right combination of good colors, good cost, and good value product. Especially when it comes to brush tip markers. I think that’s why I keep coming back to the Blick set of brush tip markers. They are not as inexpensive as Ohuhu, but they get the job done in so many other ways.
Love your videos but I’m not a fan of those markers, for me only copics I know they are expensive but I buy cheap I buy twice, thank you for sharing ♥️🇬🇧
Not on my paper and i love these markers as i don't use them as much, and have single alcohol markers, but because of the tri blends, now i am not affraid of using the markers and picking colors , learnt because of the 3 pre- selected tri blends, 👍for me perfect
I've only bought 3 of these markers but have yet to try them out. You use them very nicely.

Do not waste your money on the Soectrumnoir metallic pencils. Quited muted colors and very little if any shimmer. Just my humble opinion.
I bought these from CLOSE TO MY HEART don't buy them they are double the price of other places I like the marker butt the price not!
