Hello Trisha and Steve! New Subscriber here! Thank you so much for this video! I just purchased a few sets of the Chameleon markers and I have been playing with them. I like them but I think I will take your advice and just use them for fun for now. I'm so glad I found you guys! I know its super late but Happy Belated, Belated Birthday! I hope you enjoyed your day! Cant wait to see more!😊

I love my Chameleons. They came in a case that is sturdy and sits on my desk to keep them handy. When they came out with the 2nd set, they came in a case to hold them all with a carry strap. They are an investment, however my Copics are also an investment.

/FYI Your blends will be more successful, if you use the dark topper on a light marker. Chameleon has recommended that procedure, since it's harder to blend the dark marker with a light one, instead of the reverse, because you're feeding light ink into dark. They are a challenge to learn and become successful using them, but I've found the learning curve is worth it. The blend really becomes so pretty when you're coloring words or letters. They look so cool with the blend of colors. Good luck with yours!

I wasn't on earlier when Steve did the 5 colors. What I found is that it works best if you hold the first color top longer and then each color top after that for a shorter and shorter time. The color seems to flow down and mix mostly while kissing.

No thank you. To much of a struggle figuring it out. I have no patience for that.

Enjoyed you giving them another shot. Personally, I disagree that they are "only/mainly for just fun and messing around". Then again, I use mine for more "comic book" stuff lately. That said, using "only" Chameleon's may not give you a final result that you want. I use them with my Blick brush markers; the Chameleons for most of it, then I go in to areas that are either really large/long, or to add depth to shadows of the gradients. REALLY works well together. Toss on some Chameleon "dual-colour-pencils" or any other decent coloured pencil and you're golden! :)
Chameleons are hard to use, that's for sure! Much harder to get consistent results than 'regular' alcohol markers, but, imnsho, worth the effort. :)

a gradient is easy to achieve with markers therefore these are just silly (besides having too many parts) requiring waaay too much time being devoted when a person could be finishing their project.
