I don't have that support in my Ward. I have lived in this ward for over 20 years. We have had six bishops. My children have been alienated and treated like pariah. My husband walked out almost a year ago. He didn't lead our family in love. He didn't honor his priesthood and put our family and God first. I honestly feel alone!! I have never been in a ward that helped in the spiritual realm. Don't misunderstand! When we needed help physically during sickness or other physical needs. I don't feel accepted and valued as a child of God by the members. My children stopped attending due to feeling unaccepted. I go alone and my heart breaks. If I didn't believe and have faith in Christ I would have left the church years ago. I honestly don't feel accepted and my children don't either. Many wards are good at dealing with temporal needs but not emotional and spiritual. You're expected to put on a happy face and just attend. Even those called to preside over members just deal with the physical and figure they have done their job.
@Chris Ferguson Your a good person Chris. I too pray that your situation is resolved @confusedwhynot... and like Chris said, Heavenly Father does indeed love you.
