I served my mission in England. My last area was Oxford. Elder and Sister Gong were going to school there. They used to go with us to teach people. They were and are amazing people. Robert D Hales was my mission president. I have been honored to know two Apostles personally.
How come? What about his talk inspired you? I’ve watched it a couple times now and seem to be missing something. I want to appreciate his talk more, but feel disconnected somehow. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I am also a descendent of Joseph and Suzanne Harker! What a pleasant surprise to hear these great pioneers mentioned in general conference. They have a wonderful, faithful posterity. I pray that I will carry on their great name and teach my children to do the same.
I love this talk♥️ he gives such wonderful perspective- perfection is in Christ, not in the world, the importance of following Christ’s example to love, welcome, forgive and help others. Just what I needed to hear today.
I missed him and his great example, during my mission in Cambodia. I had a privilege to talk with him and learn from his teaching. I am sad that since I returned home, I started to astray from the gospel of Jesus Christ, I am doubt about my faith.

@@churchofjesuschristgeneralconf Thanks for sharing, I knew this church is true but it's hard for me to overcome my weakness. I still have testimony about the church but it's hard that I got married with nonmember. At first feel confident that I can convince her to join the church, but now it's about 3 years since we got married. She still not interested in the church. It's not her fault but my fault to show bad example to her.
I wish you were close by... I wish I could put my arms around you and comfort you...I have days were doubt creep in.. I think most every one does... Don't give up. He knows what you are going through. He loves you!

Elder Gong has the most calming voice and demeanor.
His voice really is soothing to listen to.

I love his calm and sweet countenance. Such sweet spirit I feel in his talks
