  • More than seven and a half million people in England are now waiting for routine hospital treatment - the highest figure since records began - and three million higher than before the pandemic.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
NHS bosses pointed to the junior doctors strike - with more than a hundred thousand appointments to be cancelled. But that's just added to an already soaring waiting list.

When you submit to a blood test, the results are not recorded, you make another appointment, it's cancelled, you're given another one, you go, the surgery is closed. You give up.

If you do not maintain your car, for 10 years, you cannot then ask why it no longer runs; you cannot also then point the finger at the mechanic trying to keep it going, who is asking for a fair wage, and not getting it, and say, "you must be contributing to the car being broken". The Tories have dismantled the UK. It is so very sad to see.

You can fix and maintain your car yourself if you do the job correctly! You don’t need a mechanic! So how about training our own people to do the job and ones that love working for the NHS! One’s that will refuse to help illegal none paying criminals from accessing the NHS and tourists that access it for free! Doctors that will tell patients they are fat and need to lose weight or are destroying their bodies without taking responsibility for the cost!
The NHS was not originally suppose to deal with the wilful self harm that they gladly waste their time supporting or become the main dealers for the pharmaceutical companies!

What the government doesn't understand is let's say the unions accept whatever they are offering. Okay. Nurses and doctors are underpaid and continue to leave and resign. How have they solved anything? They haven't! Any solution that doesn't make the situation better is not a solution.
Their plan is to allow poor people to die in order to privatize the system for the wealthy. The facts are: every pound invested in health care and education PAYS FOR ITSELF in the savings it provides. Educated and healthy people commit fewer crimes, make more money and are better more contributing members of society. There's no reason not to invest. Sure, you can look to cut costs via administration costs, but you'd need someone is government who is at least vaguely knowable about the health care system to identify these redundancies. Salaries have gone DOWN compared to inflation. That's not acceptable particularly when the workload has only increased.

My wife had been in pain for over a year, her doctor thought she had either a pulled muscle or Sciatica, but she actually had a crushed 4/5th vertebrae, with Spinal fluid leaking into her back. She paid to see a chiropractor whilst waiting to get
physiotherapy, we paid over £500 for chiropractor visits and then got 2 appointments for physiotherapy without getting either a CT or MRI scan, which our Doctor stated she could not authorise & only a senior Physio could? it worked out that both the treatments exacerbated her leakage of spinal fluid into her back, to summarise, she lost her mobility after being sent away from the hospital & then attended 4 day's later, to be admitted and then underwent a spinal decompression & spinal Fusion, which meant inserting a metal cage & screws & pins to restore her spine & stop the compression of the nerves, which were causing her mobility. PLEASE if your family is going through this, pay for a CT or MRI scan, to confirm what is going on with their Spine.

They've driven us into the ground, underfunded public services to the point of collapse and tanked the economy while they're at it. It would be nice and easy to be able to blame immigrants, but it just isn't where the problem is. We take tiny amounts of immigrants compared to other European countries, the failure is in our government's management of public services, wealth inequality and the country's economy.

I've seen statistics of 83 billion being used because of lawsuits. That leaves 58 billion or so of the NHS budget. These strikes cost 1 billion so far. so 57 billion left in the budget after that. So yes, underfunded which have led to the lawsuits in the first place. Had staffing, funding kept up we wouldn't be in this mess. This is also because of the 2012 health and social care act too. Adding on the 2022 version.

The waiting lists are long because there is a shortage of doctors. Numerus clausus in medical schools the cause. Both medical schools and specialisation courses must be free from restrictions. There is also a shortage of doctors in France, Germany and Italy as numerus clausus is used in these nations. Numerus clausus is also a form of discrimination. It is not a coincidence that rich students only can buy excellent grades in biology and chemistry. Exam boards sell grades as they are private commercial companies. I know how education works because I sat A Level exams. There is no meritocracy since education is monopolised by private entities.
