- Since the pandemic, the size the NHS waiting list has been in the headlines almost constantly. At the start of 2023, Rishi Sunak committed to decreasing the size of the waiting list as one of his ‘five priorities’, and since then it has actually gone up.
So today, we’re going to dive into the NHS waiting list - what is it? How big is it? And is there a credible plan to get it back down?

Lowest no of MRI compared to any European country.About one quarter of Germany . No of MRI is a measure of capital investment.
Electronic Medical Records decreases productivity from 1 % to 20%. Both numbers are outliers.Nobody and I mean nobody has ever suggested that EMR increases productivity. I suspect 20% might be UK number given fact that computer. Cannot be turned on.
More staff realy
No Doctors working 5 days a week gone down ++.
Number of family doctors down when measured by full time equivalent while absolute numbers same or increased. Full time down by 3 to 5 thousand.
Also send patients to South Africa which has first world healthcare. Gp practices in SA have radiology facilities. So you don't have to wait months for a sonar or xray
You just need to time your visit with the black outs....
