I needed to hear this it gives me hope because it means Jesus is coming soon. Pray for me I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I’m battling lupus and heart disease. I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children and I feel so alone. At times I want to give up. But I keep faith because I know God will provide.❤

Welcome back home! I know your joy, your relief because that was me 20 years ago . After drifting away from my faith when I went to the local priest "to talk" and learned all I needed was to do that, to confess and be absolved! I felt the weight of the world lifted from me in that moment. I know you must have felt that too. Now I am restored and remain so. God bless you .

The kindergarten teacher at my daughter's Catholic school is about 8 months pregnant. My eldest daughter told me how she looks like she is extremely tired.
I was blessed not to have to work during my 3 pregnancies in 4 years' time, yet I know how hard it is to carry a child in the third trimester. It can be agony.
Yesterday, in spite of my own financial benefit of working (I substitute teach.), I offered to help her in the classroom for her remaining time there. She said she wants to work up until the week she gives birth! God bless her. She's a better woman than I because I could never have done that.
I knew the second my daughter told me about her condition that I needed to pay forward and offered my assistance. Later that day, she told my daughter, "My prayers have been answered. "
God bless her. 😇 All she needs is a little help in the humbling act of growing a child. My conscience was right. Help this woman as you wish someone would've helped you. ❤

      Yes indeed Nana!! I read a devotion to mercy each day from the Magnificat Year of Mercy Companion, written to help Catholics celebrate the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy from December, 2015 to November, 2016. This powerful prayer says the following, which is certainly a representation of God's grace to us each day; From Pope Francis;
"God's mercy is great, forgiving us by caressing us. The steadfast love of God never ceases; his mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning."
Yes Nana and all, WE GET TO START AGAIN WITH THE LORD EACH DAY! What a gift!

Wow, I felt overwhelming darkness laat year and I too was really hungry for peace. The love of Jesus and the beauty of God is so necessary in darkness.
Don't give up. Keep seeking until you've found what your soul was made for.
I prayed to God begging Him to show me Himself when I didn't know if it was true. I kept praying this, and He did. He is patient and loving and gentle with those who are injured and in need of His help.
He cares for you. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. God bless you!

@@jeffpatrick2537 I am also guilty of this sin. With the events of Oct 7, I started looking into Islam, wondering what possible justification these extremists could conjure that would excuse a military slaughter of innocent civilians. There seems no greater enemy than those who believe God is okay with murder of ANY people.
I have gotten very angry in recent months and said some things online which work counter to peace and I have had great difficulty loving those who say the Bible is corrupt and that Christians and Jews are to be fought against and killed. I am getting angry again simply trying to write a message of LOVE.
Because the truth is that most Muslims who have ever existed on this planet are good people who have lived and loved and tried to be a righteous person in their own way. Most Muslims have never murdered and have managed to live peacefully for thousand of years, so I DO love them and I try to focus on the good and best in those who consider me an enemy.

Thank you again Bishop for your weekly inspiring homelies.
The modern western world think it does not need God. Precisely what Satan is looking for.
If we all listened more to the voice of our conscience and if we were honestly looking for ways to live inner conversions, wouldn't the world somehow be a preconfuguration of paradise might look like ?
Praying daily (including the rosary),fasting, reading the Bible, exercising the sacraments (mass/confession),listening to God's will and obeying God's laws,...all these spiritual antidotes require many personal efforts but are very efficient ways to reach holiness and happiness.
Let us thank God for being Catholic, while praying for all men of good will so that they might discover someday the beauty of our great faith and doctrine

The ability and mastery of Bishop Barron explaining these lessons is amazing. He so very articulate yet appropriate for the laymen of the world, all of us. Famous quote: Those who know, do. But those who understand, teach. (Aristotle) Bishop Barron is the Roman Catholic Church's Aristotle!

Wow! That was powerful. I love how you explained the word "repent" and its Greek roots, 'beyond mind.' Get out of your own mind and into the mind of God. Listen for His voice until it becomes your own conscience voice. Beautiful! So well explained, Bishop Barron (once again)!❤

Dear Bishop Barron, I write this from the heart and following my own conscience. You have been deeply influential in my catholic faith over the past 12 years. I was particularly put on solid ground by episode 6 of your Catholicism series, especially when you spoke about the Papacy, following St. John Henry Newman and your baseball analogy, about how the Church needs a living voice of authority to continue the life of the Church otherwise it would become into debates and discussions. I hope and pray that these last two sermons on which you spoke about following our conscience and even more so in this sermon in which you kind of gave the impression of putting the conscience above the Pope as Christ's vicar, are not an indirect cheer you are giving to the anti-Pope Francis crowd following the release of Fiducia Supplicans. More to it, it concerns me that you speak about following conscience but not about the importance of forming the conscience according to the Church's magisterium, a move that only progressive dissenting catholics used to do. I hope and pray my suspicions are wrong and it may be just paranoid misjudgement on my behalf.

Carlos, what are you saying? I've skimmed better comments around from you.
I've followed that narrative long enough to assure you that you are wrong.
Bsp. Barron doesn't engage in "social media gossiping", and he doesn't answer anymore to comments in years. The people you alluded to are reprimanded by very few of us here, as far as I know, and it's also a waste of time to engage at length with.
Besides, this has become a very unlucky platform to comment in.
What other channels are you following here?

I related to the story told today. I got in A LOT of trouble when i was younger. It took a lot of years to have the fish guide me to where i'm ment to be. I think the important message beyond that is to stay on the right path. Or that pesky fish is going to come around again. Which isnt a bad thing....Its because i know god is leading me through life.
I have a sister who still gets into a lot of trouble with her boyfriend. Reminds me of who i used to be. I like to leave her little texts to help her hoping ill become a fish one day 😂
Thank you for the video! 🥳

Bishop Barron delivers a wonderful insight into how to deal with our modern day chaos. Wonderful. BB brings his incredible understanding and knowledge of the Bible with all the history and culture that enlivens it. He does this so well. My prayer is that the churches of the world go that one step further and help to create ACTUAL COMMUNITY to the congregations so that our children and ourselves are able to find friends to do so many things, whether it be play groups for our kids or a sewing circle or a chess club or a dance hop for young people to meet other young people of faith, or a Bible study... etc... PLEASE, this is how the church can win back the young of the world and the families of the world, and give comfort to the lonely of the world.

The Jonah message was for me. I was clearly asked by Christ to do two things while in Eucharistic adoration. I did one but have not done the other. Both are Evangelical actions and must be completed so our church can grow. Thank you for this powerful message Bishop Barron!

    Thank you Bishop,
I listened to it a second time. I always thought the voice in my head that says I have a bigger purpose coming for me and the Lord is preparing me, was the voice of pride. In spite of priests repeating it to me without me telling them I have these same taughts. I have been ignoring it for to long, guess it is time to say yes, because the priest reminded me again this week.
    It scares me!!

Once again, Bishop Barron succinctly illuminates the wisdomin todays mass readings. It sounds so simple, " listen to your conscience." The result will be grace and blessings, not listening trouble and chaos. I can reflect back on my life and affirm this. Every time I did not heed my conscience I had big trouble. It took me so many years to heed my "gut" as I called it.
